00:16   Hazard  A brown and orange uniform steps into the Wand, all wrapped around a tiny, redheaded child. She walks with a confident stride and a consciousness of her surroundings.
00:20   Noctis  The snow-haired man looks at the child and promptly loses interest and returns his attention to his steak.
00:21   Trimangle   Alex looks over at the newcomer. "Hey, Ea. Can I get you anything tonight?"
00:23   Hazard  "Alex! Just who I needed to see." She tromps over to the bar and sits down on the stool. Her eyebrows nit for a second, and she adjusts how she sits. "I have something for you, actually."
00:24   DrEvilKitteh    “I see.” Serena nods thoughtfully. The young newcomer scrutinized closely as she heads over to the bar as well.
00:24   Trimangle   Alex raises an eyebrow and moves to stand in front of Ea. "Oh yeah? Whassat?"
00:26   Noctis  Noctis' shadow-tendril reaches up and taps Serena on the shoulder while Noctis chews on a piece of meat.
00:26   Hazard  The little girl reaches into her bookbag and pulls out a jar of something pulpy and berry-red. "Mako sent this, along with the thanks of the complex for your help."
00:27   Trimangle   Alex takes the jar, her eyebrows rising and eyes widening. "Aww, that's really sweet of her." She puts it underneath the bar. "Is everyone recovering okay? That was a hell of a thing. Kids okay?"
00:28   Trimangle   "Give her my thanks, when you see her next."
00:29   DrEvilKitteh    Serena maintains her composure despite the unexpected and undeserved physical contact, the latter of which she conveys via an archly raised eyebrow directed at first the shadow, then Noctis himself. “May I help you, Mr. Gladio?” she asks, maybe not entirely flatly, but close.
00:30   Hazard  "Yeah, the adults are all fine. The kids seemed to be okay, too. They'll bounce back. Children are very good at recovering from these traumas, in my experience." She looks from side-to-side. "Could I have a... beer? DAMN IT, LENORA! That Hazard kid used to drink rum all the time, if I've got control, let me enjoy it!"
00:31   Trimangle   "You can always punish him later, Lenora." Alex giggles mischievously, then fetches down a glass and a bottle of rum. "This work for you, Ea?"
00:32   Noctis  "Yeah, sorry," he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.  "You're new to this whole thing, aren't you?  What kind of world are you from anyway?"
00:33   Hazard  "Oh, Uh, just a beer. Lager. We never got into the harder stuff when I was in my old body. Just not how things were in my department." She plunks down some cash.
00:34   Trimangle   "Oh. Oh, I misunderstood. Sorry." Alex chuckles, putting the bottle back up and selecting a different one. "Here...this is one of my favorites." Hazard gets a glass and a bottle of Yuengling set before her, which she opens and deftly pours.
00:35   Hazard  "Thanks."
00:35   DrEvilKitteh    “I'm new to this place,” Serena corrects him. “...I...am not sure how to answer that,” she admits. “I'm, uh, from Earth. I live just outside the city Vancouver, in Canada.”
00:35   Trimangle   She goes to pick up the cash, blinks, doubletakes and carefully lifts one of the coins, putting the others in the till.
00:38   Trimangle   Alex looks at Ea. "Ah. Ea?" She is very careful of the item in her grasp -- it looks like a small integrated circuit instead of a coin. "What was this doing in your pocket?"
00:38   Noctis  "Ah, I'm from a world that isn't Earth," he explains.  "I've heard stories, though.  If you're in need of a guide for whatever reason, I've got a friend who knows her way around.  At least, her map never steers her wrong."
00:40   Hazard  "The real question, missy, is how that ended up on the back of Maddie and Barry's necks, under bandaids." She takes a long swig off the bottle for effect. "They didn't have them before they got kidnapped."

00:42   DrEvilKitteh    Ea gets a belated look of bemusement, but Serena lets that particular oddity slide in favor of continuing her conversation with Noctis. “I don't intend to go elsewhere in this place if I can help it.” After a moment, she relents and says, “If I need a map like that, I will be sure to ask you to bring your friend.”

00:45   Noctis  "Hina's a good girl," he adds.  "Really hyper and inquisitive.  But good."  A small genuine smile appears on his lips as he praises the absent ninja.
00:47   Hazard  "It's a false flag. No organization that is actually devoted to protecting the innocent would forcibly recruit like that." She takes another draw. "But the question then is, who were they?"
00:49   Noctis  "Someone hasn't met the Templars," Noctis chuckles bitterly under his breath.
00:49   DrEvilKitteh    The tall, fancily-dressed girl nods once. “I know one or two like that.” Serena's eyes glaze over briefly as she recalls the 'hyper and inquisitive' type of person.
00:50   Hazard  This gets the redhead's attention. "Templars? Anything worth knowing, boy?"
00:51   Trimangle   Alex frowns. "That is indeed the question, who are they. I would have loved to get that soldier alive, but...he suicided before we could get back. I should have knocked him out cold. Hopefully an autopsy will tell us something."
00:52   Noctis  "Just a group from my world.  They haven't gone out of it yet, to my knowledge."  He shrugs and turns to her.  "They recruit young, basically brainwash kids into fighting for their 'peace'.  Which is a world free of the Gods influence.  I doubt you have to worry about them, girl."

00:56   DrEvilKitteh    This...rather bizarre conversation is bewildering and weirding Serena out. Even past her regal composure, it's not too difficult to tell that all this talk has taken her off-balance.
00:57   Trimangle   Alex shrugs. "I'm no seer, so the information's worthless if I'm the only one who knows it."
00:59   Hazard  "Look, I haven't really gotten a chance to go look at Ginny. She's still wearing her bandaid. I talked to the other me and he said he and his Lenora would try to get at it. No luck so far." She notices Serena's discomfort. "Something botherin' ya, sister?"
00:59   Trimangle   "Wait wait. Ginny still has her bandaid in, so you don't know if she was chipped, too?" Alex regards Ea.
01:01   Noctis  "Don't worry, I'm lost too," Noctis says to Serena.  "Well, not entirely.  But after a while you just roll with it."
01:01   Hazard  "Yeah. Don't know why Joy and Thom haven't taken hers off. The other me left the bandaids on our kids, in case Thom knows something he isn't telling us." Long drink. "He's so cagey."
01:02   DrEvilKitteh    “...How could all of...this,” Serena gestures vaguely at the other three, “not?” Noctis' words earn a heaved sigh. “I guess. I already know this place was really weird and crazy from my first time here.”
01:03   Hazard  "You get used to it."
01:03   Trimangle   Alex frowns. "...So, let me get this straight...I bring the kids back, you guys discover bandaids on their necks...Karl and Lenora, the other ones, take them off to reveal microchips....but Joy and Thom haven't? Something's definitely up with that," Alex decides.
01:04   Hazard  "I never trusted Thom, and Joy is just his little lackey. She'll do whatever he says without a second thought."
01:05   Noctis  "Magic," Noctis shrugs.  "Magic ain't gotta explain shit.  You either roll with the craziness, or you wind up crazy yourself."
01:05   DrEvilKitteh    Serena looks everywhere but at Ea. “...I'd rather not,” she mutters, unconsciously shifting her butt a little on the barstool.
01:07   Hazard  "Enjoy being uncomfortable 24/7 then. I know I am, stuck in this body. With all these others in my head. Yes, dear, I am happy you're here with me, but it would be nice to have some alone time, too, don't you think?"
01:07   Trimangle   "I've half a mind to go give him a piece of my mind," Alex grumps. "He was a cagey asshole when we went to Eden Arms. Didn't seem nearly as troubled as he shoulda been, and he didn't immediately raise the hue and cry about the chip..."
01:09   Hazard  "And the part that bothers me the most about all of this? Ever since the kidnapping, the Thom and Joy in here have been dead silent. Not a peep. It bothers me."
01:09   Noctis  The man's shadow reaches out to pat Serena on the shoulder, but after one pat Noctis grabs it and throws it back to the ground.  "I need to get a leash for that thing..."  He mutters to himself.
01:10   Trimangle   "...They what? They haven't said a thing? Nothing?" Alex's eyebrows draw together. "Drag Thom up here. I want to speak with him."
01:10   Hazard  "I would, but he won't come out. We tried. He buried himself at the bottom of the lighter and won't come out." Angry swig, angry swallow.
01:11   Noctis  "...You want me to try?"  Noctis offers.  "I've got... ways."
01:11   Trimangle   "I don't know enough about your situation, but d'you think a spirit spec might help force him out of hiding?"
01:12   DrEvilKitteh    If a princess-type can sulk somewhat grumpily and still look princess-y, Serena just did so.
01:12   Hazard  The girl shrugs. "I don't even think there's a word for our situation. I don't know what would work." She eyes Noctis, but doesn't respond.
01:13   Trimangle   "Unique is a word I'd use." Alex glances over at Serena. "Ah, I'm sorry, can I get you anything?"

01:17   Trimangle   "Right away." Alex saunters off, and it's not a minute later before she returns, setting the food down in front of the regal girl with a new set of flatware.
01:17   Noctis  "Hey, if you wa-... I'm not finishing that." Noctis clams up instantly.
01:18   Hazard  "So, you're new around here, eh?" Ea quips at Serena. "How long you been in the magical circles?"

However, by this point she's already started on her fresh, steaming plate of food; it bears saying that she has surprisingly good manners, practically impeccable, considering how fast she eats.  Aaaand then she halts, chews quickly, and swallows her latest mouthful in order to reply to Ea. “A long time,”

01:26   Hazard  "Ah. And which 'nobility' do you belong to?"
01:33   Noctis  Noctis just continues to eat his steak, trying not to put his foot in his mouth right now.
01:36   Trimangle   Alex glances up at Serena, slightly distracted. "A long time, huh?"
00:18   DrEvilKitteh    Serena actually slows, but doesn't entirely stop eating her latest bite. Her eyes give Ea a simultaneously searching and appraising look. Upon finishing her latest bite, Serena places her silverware on the plate, politely dabs her mouth clean with a napkin, and rises to her feet. She takes a few steps away from the bar, turns to face the other two, and...
00:18   DrEvilKitteh    ...She explodes.
00:18   DrEvilKitteh    Okay, not literally. And it's not /really super omg/ fast, either, though it does happen surprisingly swiftly. To be specific, her skin splits and tears, a soft but audible sound. It's not an entirely pleasant one, either. The two sections of her skin that are torn apart the fastest are the top, around the head, and the legs. The former because she suddenly stands a bit taller than she normally
00:18   DrEvilKitteh    does, and the latter because something massive erupts into existence.
00:18   DrEvilKitteh    Serena pulls herself back, worming out of the shed skin, which simply crumbles into dust as it flutters and drifts to the ground, fading into nothingness after a few seconds. With that out of the way, she clasps her hands behind her back so the three can have a good, long moment to see her.

00:18   DrEvilKitteh    Where once there were legs, now a massive white-scaled serpent's body extends from the hips down. Eyes and hair, previously russet and dark auburn, respectively, have now become vibrantly red and slitted and very pale pink. Her ears, meanwhile, have elongated a bit and developed points. It should also be noted that a series of red scales form intricate patterns along the top of her lower half.
00:18   DrEvilKitteh    Naturally, it becomes readily apparent why her cheongsam is designed the way it is, with that high slit and a couple adjustable straps for making the best fit--it's made with her true form in mind as well, which is a bit wider from the hips down relative to her humanoid form's.
00:18   DrEvilKitteh    “I am one of the serpent-blooded,” Serena finally answers. “That is the nobility I belong to.” It looks like her tongue has become subtly forked, too.
00:19   Trimangle   Alex looks the girl over and whistles lowly. "And a very noble look it is," Alex agrees, her eyes eventually returning to Serena's face.
00:22   Hazard  "Oh." The little girl says. Observing the form, and filing that information for later, the tot seems to either not be exceptionally impressed, or hiding it well. She takes a slow draw on her bottle of lager. "Well that makes sense."
00:27   DrEvilKitteh    If nothing else, the two's reactions helps ease Serena's mind, allowing her to relax a bit. “Thank you.” She bows her head politely to Alex, then sedately slithers back to her seat. 00:48   Hazard  The strawberry-headed child shakes her head ominously. "Hell itself has no words for what she's seen..."

She reaches under the bar and grabs a glass, which she fills with water and offers to the snek, putting it down in front of her. She glances at Ea and giggles. "A bit blunt, but yes, a little bit."
02:45   DrEvilKitteh    Serena folds her arms under her chest, and her the tip of her tail twitches upward in mild indignation. “I'd rather not hunt my food if I don't have to,” she says, looking kinda miffed. “And the cuisine here is a lot more varied.” At Alex's followup query, however, she becomes furtive once again. “...Um... Eel and salmon.” And then she takes a long sip of water.

02:52   DrEvilKitteh    “Judgment? Of what?” Serena says quickly, almost snapping at Ea. “...S-sorry,” she mutters, embarrassed at her small outburst as she looks forward again and forces herself to calm. Hands clasped in her lap, she breathes deeply, and her coils adjust to be more comfortable.
02:54   Trimangle   Alex walks out of the kitchen bearing a rather large tray, covered with sushi. Seems like Alex took to heart the speed with which Serena took care of the pie, and adjusted upward. "Here's that for you, then," she says politely. "Eel and salmon, as requested."

02:55   Hazard  "Nevermind. I've got to go. Pre-school in the morning. It's been a pleasure meeting you, Serena." She says with a warm, good-cop chuckle. The little girl chugs down the remainder of the beer. "Good seeing you too, Alex. See what you can dig up about that chip, and I'll be back with whatever I can find."

After that, though, all thoughts turn towards the tray of delectable sushi sitting right before her, all waiting to be gobbled up.
