REGARDING TAGGING IN GENERAL: First of all, read this post made by Antiquity http://tlb.booru.org/index.php?page=forum&s=view&id=185 Follow these guidelines as well as you can, but if you just want to do some easy tagging, you can just tag the artist and the characters depicted in the post (but do not remove the tagme tag if you only do this).
 
REGARDING CHILD POSTS: Always try to use the "main" picture as the parent, usually it should be the most actual picture if you are uploading sketches or works in progress.
 
SPECIAL TAGS: duplicate (if a picture has been uploaded to the booru already, delete all the other tags and tag it as duplicate, and
              please post a comment linking the original post) EXCEPTION: If the duplicate has a higher resolution than the original           
              picture, then copy the tags from the original to it, tag the original as duplicate and leave a comment explaining that
              you did it because the other pic had a higher resolution.
