Spelling Error was once a teacher in a school at Canterlot. Famous for her teaching methods, which were rigorous. But effective. However as the new Equestrian school laws came in effect. Her students started calling out her as an abusive and violent teacher. Which had gotten her a couple of times on court for being sued for violence. The lawsuit problems just kept growing until she simply gave up.
Retiring from the teacher life, Spelling found a new love in traveling the world in search for adventure. Away from the canned school spaces and into exciting  new places. She had found a new life and many ponies to educate. For it did not mattered how much she enjoyed her quests... She missed  her days in a class room.
