A new little oneshot for you lads and ladies, I hope you enjoy. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You're back" >Sonata looked up from trying to dry her tears >Adagio was sitting at their kitchen table, an accusing stare pinning Sonata down. >An unfolded newspaper hid the bottom half of Adagio's face, but Sonata could clearly see the dark scowl on her brow. >Sonata shuddered and sniffled into her sleeve "Y-yeah" >Adagio folded the newspaper, her disgust and anger clear on her pursed lips. >Sonata winced when Adagio slammed the newspaper down onto the ancient, dirty kitchen table. "And what the FUCK makes you think you can come back here? After betraying Aria and I?" >Sonata's tears filled her eyes as she spoke "Please Adagio... D-don't make me go out there" >Her pursed lips curled back into a dark snarl "We said when you decided to leave, that if those stupid rainbooms didn't take you in, you'd be on your own." >Adagio raised a hand to forestall Sonata's further pleading. "Get out. We don't want to see you again, Traitor." >Sonata's head dipped as she cried softly >She looked back up, scanning the disgusting, damp apartment the dazzlings called home. The carpet was outdated, the wallpaper peeling from the walls and the air was musty and stale >Their complex was situated in the worst part of town, where mold and the lowest of the low lived >Where the dazzlings lived "What about Aria... Won't she-" >Adagio cut her off abruptly "You abandoned us for those whores, you left your sisters. Stop and listen, you'll hear her." >Sonata did as Adagio said, the apartment fell silent. Adagio's glare never wavered as the muffled sounds of sobbing came to the forefront in the deafening silence. "I'm sorry..." >Adagio snorted. "No you're not. Now go. I don't want to see your traitorous face again." >Sonata nodded, stepping out of the dim atmosphere of the apartment, into the darkened hallway, only a softly buzzing light illuminating the darkness. >Sonata felt fat, bulbous tears trail down her cheeks as she continued to walk away from the apartment. >From her sisters >Sonata stepped out of the complex into the chilly winter air. >She shuddered as a cold breeze blasted against her bare face, turning her light blue skin red. >The winter air continued it's assault on her as Sonata sought refuge, finally running down an alley that blocked most of the breeze. >Sonata rubbed her arms to try and warm them up >She failed miserably, the unyielding chill covering her like an ice-cold blanket >Penetrating her from skin to bone >Sonata shuffled further into the alley, collapsing on a nearby cardboard box >It flattened under her weight, now she was resting on the icey, freezing ground. >Sonata started to sob >Everything... Everyone had left her >No friends, no family >Even Aria's put-downs would be a welcome for the silence of the alley >She could hear Adagio's voice in her head as she continued to wail "Ditz." >She was a ditz >How could she be so stupid, as to believe their once-enemies would ever accept her? >Sonata pulled her knees to her chest and continued to cry into them.
