Klarth hurls himself toward a target destination with the cry of “Demacia!”, leading with his shield. Upon contact with an enemy champion, they are stunned by a shield bash for a short period of time. Every time Klarth takes damage, the cooldown of this ability, is decreased by .5 seconds.   If cast on an ally, the ally under the influence of his shield becomes immune to all forms of damage and CC effects, while Klarth takes them upon himself. Demacian Steel’s cooldown is decreased by .5 seconds with each hit he sustains in this indirect manner, but the shield’s cooldown does not decrease. His shield’s runes glow with a white-blue aegis and allies, as well as Klarth himself, within a large radius are granted bonus armor and magic resistance, a damage shield, as well as increased tenacity for the duration.   Soothing Repose By laying his hands upon a target, Klarth can channel positive healing energies through them to restore health and wellness equal to a quarter of their maximum HP. This ability can be used a total of four times daily. This can be used on Klarth himself during battle, but it requires a moment of concentration to do so. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Relationships ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________   There was a time when Klarth’s heart belonged not only to Demacia and his comrades, but to a woman. The woman that captured the young Demacian Knight’s heart was none other than Luxanna Crownguard, sister to the leader of the Dauntless Vanguard, Garen Crownguard. Despite her apparent light, the young woman had always seemed to carry a quiet sadness within her. During his time at the Demacian War College, Klarth was drawn to Lux, who was undergoing her own training at the College of magic, and the both of them became fast friends. That friendship blossomed into something more over time as well, as Klarth’s ear was always willing to listen to more and more of Lux’s troubles. Their love was pure and bright like the very soul of the country they both fought to protect.   However, such things were simply not meant to be. As Demacia’s campaigns against Noxus continued, Lux would take on darker and more dangerous assignments, leaving Klarth to fight on the front lines with his men, despite his protests to stay at her side. Eventually, one night before she was to leave on a mission to infiltrate the dark halls of Noxus itself, Lux called Klarth to her, and ended their relationship. She felt she had to stand for herself, and learn how to protect herself without a larger force always having her back. Klarth respected Luxanna’s wishes, and never again troubled her with his feelings or broken heart. To this day, Klarth still cares deeply for Luxanna Crownguard, and perhaps even wishes for their love to blossom once again. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Description ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________   Klarth stands approximately 5’11" tall, has green/blue eyes, blonde hair, and is almost always seen dressed in a suit of full Demacian Plate Mail, sporting the classic Demacian colors of royal blue, silver, and some gold. He is usually bright and noble in his disposition and attitude, always willing to leap into the fray to defend an ally, or a friend. He is almost entirely non-self-serving, preferring instead to help others in combat. His sword and shield are a part of a pair of items handed down throughout Klarth’s family, and both were passed on to him as he joined the Demacian War College and moved to defend his home from tyranny, wherever it might be found. Biography   Honor, integrity, skill, and to fight for justice in the name of Demacia. These are the paragons by which Demacian soldiers fight on the fields. Every Demacian pledges at least three years of their life to their city-state’s military, but few reach the notoriety of Garen Crownguard, Jarvan Lightshield IV, or Klarth Dragonwill. Born to the noble Dragonwill family, Klarth was given every opportunity to choose his destiny. However, when he came of age, he eagerly joined the military and trained each day to mold his youthful form into a fit and mighty soldier, wishing nothing more than to protect his homeland, and his friends from the enemies of truth, righteousness, and justice. While another in his class, Luxanna Crownguard, was found to have extraordinary magical capabilities, Klarth himself was found to have an amazing tolerance for pain, and an uncanny ability to take blows that would leave other soldiers crippled. The Demacian War College took note of this, and began a training regimen designed to help Klarth master and perfect his gifts.   Once on the battlefield, Klarth quickly earned a reputation among the others in his unit for being fearless. His strength came not from defeating a great number of foes, but by throwing himself into harm’s way to take blows for his companions, his presence inspiring them to get up even after serious wounds, and leading them to victory against heavily stacked odds, earning him the title of “The Unyielding Shield.” So venerated was Klarth’s performance it was rumored that he was offered a position in the Dauntless Vanguard. Despite the offer, Klarth declined. His desire to help and protect others had grown beyond the scope of Demacia’s military. For too long, his brothers and sisters in arms had fought and fallen on the fields in endless wars. But with the rise of the League of Legends, Klarth saw hope for a future where all could be protected.
