Ritsu grabs me by my tie and tries to pull me through the hall, and I have to run after her to avoid being choked to death. As I catch up with her I snatch the tie from her hand and try to glare at her, but the grin that covers at least half her face makes not smiling back a hard task. H: stop that, I’m not your dog! R: that’s a song we could play. H: what? R: “I wanna be your dog”, it’s super easy, even you could learn it. I notice her English pronouncing is horribly off, not that I’m much better. A partner in crime maybe?  R: Hey Hisao? Maybe I should teach you some bass before we get more members, in case they’re good, I mean. H: I know I can’t play bass, but I just joined your silly club after talking to you for like three minutes, so it wouldn’t hurt you to be a little nice. R: Yeah you’re pretty easy. Is she even listening to me? Well of course she is, that comment was related to what I just said. I guess she just likes teasing me. I’m not going to play along though. H: I guess you are right though, I should probably learn some bass first, and I need to find out if it’s really my thing too. R: of course I’m right. And it isn’t really a thing, you just have to *dum-dum dum- dam dum* She starts playing air-bass to the tune she’s humming. I’m left staring at her for a few seconds while she finishes her groove. H: that’s a little degrading R: No no, the bass is an important part of the band R: just not as important as the rest! I kind of regret joining so hastily. If Ritsu plans to continue shit talking all the time, I don’t think this is something I want to spend almost every day doing. Still, when I got this far I might as well try it out, maybe it’s my thing? Even if Ritsu said it wasn’t a thing. Anyway. H: do you even have a bass? R: there is one in the music room, it’s bad though. H: let’s go there then R: We’re almost there already I haven’t really noticed that we’ve been walking, but only half a minute later, we’re standing outside the music room, Ritsu opens the door and steps inside, I’m quick to follow her. The room is rather small, there is only one table with a few chairs seated around it, there is also a sizeable cupboard covering one of the walls. A small drum kit and 2 amplifiers are standing on a small stage on the other side of the room. Ritsu moves over to the cupboard, and picks a rather long guitar case out of it, she carries it across the room towards the stage, before she suddenly drops it. R: augh She grabs her hand, and her knees clap together as she falls to the ground, making a loud thump sound. I quickly make my way across the room and kneel down beside her. H: what happened? She’s clenching her eyes shut, but a few tears still find a way to drip from her eyes R: just… overconfident in my hand… H: Should I get you to a nurse? R: that’d be… nice… I put my arms around her and lift her up the way you would carry a baby. Or like we were just married. I blush a little at the thought, if Ritsu wasn’t in pain, this would actually be kind of nice I carry her through the hall, but the stairs prove to be more of a challenge, I eventually best them as I slowly make my way down sideways, and then continue outside and into the nurses’ building. I use my head to knock the door of the head nurse, a little too hard apparently, I’m going to have a bump on my head tomorrow Whatever. The door is opened, and I’m greeted by the smiling head nurse, his smile fades fast when he sees the girl in my arms, however. He motions for me to lay her down on the adjustable doctors-chair standing in the middle of the office, and I do so. N: what happened? H: she was carrying something when she suddenly broke down and held her hand, it looked really painful! N: that Tainaka, she’s only been her for a couple months and she already has been in a double digited number of incidents. N: but you never heard that, doctor patient confidentiality and all that. R: I’m the one supposed to not know you slipped it you know? it doesn’t matter anyway. I wish I could be as straight forward regarding my condition as Ritsu seems to be, still, talking about it is hard, and now isn’t the time anyway. N: I actually have been meaning to talk to you Nakai, about your condition, so it’s a lucky strike you came down here to my office. Okay maybe it’s the time, but I don’t feel ready. N: fate in accident, one could say He adds the last part with a nervous chuckle; it’s almost as if he can feel Ritsu’s stinging eyes in his back. H: hey, what happened to doctor patient confidentiality? She’s here too you know I hastily try to make an exit, but I stop in my tracks as I hear Ritsu’s voice: R: hey Hisao, wait! I turn around, and I’m met with what I would now call her signature smile. It’s really contagious, and I find myself smiling too. R: I’ll teach you bass tomorrow! She hold out her hands as if they were guns, and quickly pull them up, firing them, she visibly cringes, and silently curses her hand. Seeing how bad her hand looks, I somehow doubt it, but I don’t say that. H: sure I flash her what I hope is a reassuring smile, before I quickly make my way out of the nurse building before the nurse gets a chance to reel me back in. I actually wanted to pay a visit to the library today, but it’s probably too late now. Sitting in my room and not reading does however quickly grow tedious, so I decide to pay a visit to the guy across the hall, he seems friendly enough earlier today, if a little weird. Then again isn’t everyone here a little weird? Isn’t that why we’re here? *knock knock* I hear at least ten locks clicking open, before the door creaks open and Kenji peeks out. K: Who the fuck are you! I’m taken a little by surprise at his sudden anger, or is it fear? H: I’m Hisao Nakai, I’m new here.  We talked earlier. K: It’s you man, I didn’t see you there. What? I was standing like two meters away. Then again, he has almost comically thick glasses, so he might have really bad sight or something like that. I don’t know what to say, so an awkward silence arises between us. At least it’s awkward to me, I’m not sure if Kenji thinks the same. H: So… What kind of music do you like? Why am I talking about music, I know nothing about music. And it was a horrible conversation starter too. What can be seen of Kenji’s eyes visibly light up at the question though, so it could have been worse I guess. K: Manowar, that’s the manliest band. H: Okay I don’t know how to continue from here, so I decide to cut it off. H: I have to go do some homework, but I’ll see you later It’s a lie, thanks to Misha and Shizune I got all the work done in class today. I wonder if he is offended by me saying I’ll see him. I hope not. K: Later man. He retreats back into his room, and I do the same shortly after. I decide to go for an early night, as I’m actually pretty worn out. Today has been an eventful day I have dreams about basses and hair rings all night.
