I don’t know. I don’t think it came out like I wanted. Maybe it just needed more time. I was making a complicated expression as I stared at my painting. I don’t know why. This one bothered me. The others were fine. They were me when I made them. Or what I was thinking and made when I made them. -Bump- “Sorry, sorry. I didn’t mean to knock into you.” “It’s fine.” I looked at the stranger who bumped into me. He was taller than me, but not by much. Though, he was a very normal person. That’s probably the best way to say what he was. He had brown hair and eyes. He wasn’t muscular but wasn’t fat either. He stared at me like you would stare at a butterfly with pink wings, or maybe like you stare at ketchup when someone mixes it with mustard.   “Oh! You’re the artist for this painting aren’t you?” “Yes.” We were currently at a showing of my work. I didn’t mention that earlier. Also, my name is Tezuka Rin. “I’m such a fan of your work. How do you do this without any arms?” “With my feet.” “So it’s true!” I just stared at him. I guess he could have been thinking I used my mouth. I don’t know. I think it would be hard to see what I was doing if I used my mouth. Oh, I was born with a defect and they had to take my arms off when I was a baby. It also made me go to special schools while growing up. I was offered to go to a big art school when I graduated high school, but I didn’t want to do that. I just painted like I always did. I don’t know why I paint so much. I don’t find it that fun. It’s like I have to do it though. Like how you have to breathe and how fish have to swim to breathe. “How long have you been painting for?” Oh, he is still here. “As long as I can remember, I think. Maybe longer. I don’t know.” He looked puzzled for a second. “…I’ve heard a lot about you. They say you talk in a strange way. They also said you don’t tell people that they are your paintings when you attend events.” “Yeah. That’s true.” He showed me a troubled look. “Are you hungry?” I looked at my stomach and thought for a few seconds. “Medium.” “How about I treat you to dinner?” I didn’t really know this person. But I was hungry. “Okay.” “Alright, anywhere you prefer?” “No.” “Alright, I’ll show you to my favorite place!” I nodded and followed him as he walked out the door. Today was a strange day. I met a person. Then they took me out to eat. Very unusual for me.
