>You are an amputee. >Whatever that may be and all that it entitles. >It has been two weeks since your operation. >You had lost both your legs. >No longer can you walk or run. >No longer can you get yourself around the house and streets. >The doctors and nurses always had to cart you around or lift you up. >And those doctors and nurses were always so nice to you. >No matter what the situation was. >Using the bathroom was always humiliating. . . >Having one of the doctors lift you onto the toilet seat, then lift you back onto the cart. . . >The first time that had happened, you cried that night. >”Is this your life now?” you would ask yourself, “I… I Can’t live like this! I CAN'T!” >Regardless of what you said, you continued to live. >And everyday was better than the last.   >The doctors and nurses always encouraged you when you felt down. >”You can do it Anon!” or,  “You can overcome ANY obstacle!” >Their words were the only thing you held onto. >Words that you can never forget anytime soon. >Then one day, the doctors put you through some physical therapy. >The physical therapy was possibly the most toughest thing you’ve gone through your entire life. >Every morning was it’s own fiasco... >Waking up to find blood soaked sheets from your legs. >Or having intense pain and bruises on your leg stumps. >Your arms were pretty sturdy. >Crawling wasn’t too bad. >Soon, you could use the restroom without any help. >If felt amazing. >Like overcoming a great disaster. >No longer did you have to call a nurse or doctor to assist you. >Things were looking up. >Then, your main specialist, asked you a question that would change everything.   >”Anon we have a prosthetics program that I’d like for you to attend. You don’t have to rush into it, but I’d at least like for you to check it out.” >He hands you a pamphlet that had a man with two prosthetic legs, smiling, and running. >”Of course! I’ll look into it.” you almost screamed >You knew about prosthetics, you even asked your nurse if you were able to get them. >The nurse was unsure, so you kept it quiet. >As soon as you wheeled yourself back to your room with your new wheelchair, you accessed the hospital’s computer >That whole night, you were looking into different legs and imagined yourself with them. >All you could see was your own future, and how amazing it looked. >The new physical therapy looked difficult, but you think you could muscle through it. >You just have to “believe in yourself, you can overcome any obstacle and any situation! You just need to believe!” >It was hard to go to sleep that night.   >When your main doctor asked if you were sure if you wanted to go through this operation, you told them that you were never more sure in your life. >You had poured almost all of your money into it. >A week had passed, and everything was set up. >You wheeled yourself to the table, and hopped onto it smiling. >”I haven’t seen a patient wheel themselves in so happy before!” the doctor chuckled >You scratched the back of your head and smiled. Just excited is all, heh. >The doctor laughed with you. >A nurse walked in with one of your legs. >One of the coolest things you’ve ever seen. >Another nurse walked in with the other one. >You were pumped. >”My, my Anon… Lets not have you bouncing off the table!” one of the nurses insisted, “Now lay down, this is going to take a while.” >The doctor hands you a mask to place over your mouth. >”Alright Anon, you are about to get re-” >You couldn’t even hear the rest of what he was saying. >You were out like a light.           ~ Chapter 1: Believe ~   >Believe. >That is all that you need to do, Anon! >You can make anything possible. >Anything. >Anything… >You… You hear something. >Someone is screaming. >Loud. >”DOCTOR WHAT IS THAT?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!” >”GET AWAY FROM IT!” >”DOCTOR! ANON IS GETTING DRAGGED IN!” >Your head was throbbing. >And your vision was blurry. >You could see red. >An outline of the doctor and nurses. >Everything else was black. >”ANON TAKE MY HAND!” >Hand? What hand? >”ANON NO! PLEASE! JUST TAKE MY HAND!” >Your body was numb >You couldn't reach out, even if you wanted too. >Everything began getting darker. >And darker.   >You could hear rain splashing and hitting the ground. >Flashes of white hit you in the eyes. >The splashing of rain began to get louder. >It smelled like mud and rain. >It felt like you were outside. >You began to cough. >Instinctively, you raise your hand to- Blood. BLOOD. WHAT IS HAPPENING, DOCTOR?! >Rain was beating on your face and body. >Most of your body was numb. >You look down to where you legs might have been. >Blood was streaming out of the leg stumps. No. NO. AHHHHH! SOMEBODY HEEEELP ME! AAAHHH! >Your head was getting light. >Mud and blood were everywhere. >Everything was cold. >You bit your bottom lip and grasped your left leg. >You squeeze and wrap it with the scrub you were wearing. >The right leg was covered in mud and looked black. >You began to feel out of breath. >With what little you had left in your lungs, you let out a screech that even the heavens could hear. >You fall into mud and black out.   ~Twilight’s Castle~ >”Ugh… It’s SOOO boring around here Twilight. Why did the Pegasi have to make TODAY rain?! If it were up to me, I’d have it at least rain something… Better!” Discord moans. >”Not right now Discord, I think I am on to something…” Twilight snaps, “I felt a large chunk of magic being used… And I just… Need to… Pin where it is…!” >Twilight sits on her throne with her eyes shut, and her horn glowing. >Discord slithers around the ceiling and taps his claws on the light bulb. >”Ugh… THERE! I found it.” >Discord summons a map in front of Twilight. >She stops her magic and looks at the map. >”How did you-” >”Years of practice, m'dear.” >Discord removed the light bulb and crawls inside of the socket. >”Alright, I better check it out. Make sure Spike goes to sleep on time!” >Spike walks into the room confused. >”Who was she talking to?” Spike asks, “I don't see-” >A large demonic beast arises from Spike’s shadow. >”BOO!” >All the color in Spike’s face drains as he falls back unconscious. >Discord resumes his normal form. >”Now, off to sleep we go widdle widdle dwagon!”   >”Alright, Discord’s map says it should be around here.” AAHHHHHH >”Oh no! I hope nop0ny is hurt!” >Twilight lets out her wings and begins to fly towards the sound. >”I’m coming, don’t worry!” SOMEBODY HEEEELP ME! AAAHHH! >”Oh no…” >Twilight fires a beam into the clouds. >A small hole is made within the clouds, revealing the ground. >Twilight flies onto the ground. >”Hello?” Twilight asks, “Is anyone here?” >She notices something shining. >With her magic she raises it up to the light. >”A leg?” Twilight ponders, “What is a leg doing out here?” >There was another one on the ground. >She levitates them onto her back. >Twilight fires another beam into the sky. >Even more light reveals the area. >”Oh no…” >She spots your body. >”No no no no…” >She places you inside of a bubble of magic. >”Hold on , I’ll help you!” >She fires a large beam into the sky, clearing out that entire area. >”Don’t worry, I’ll save you. You just have to believe in me.” >You both teleport back to her castle.   >”Discord! I need your help!” Twilight yells while running through the doors. >She places you onto a table. >”This will do for now… DISCORD?!” >Discord comes out of the ceiling lights. >”What do you need me fo- EEEHHH?? What is a human doing here?! Ewww, why is he all…” >Discord flies over to the table where you lay. >He ducks down and comes back dressed as a nurse. >”Doctor Twilight!” >Twilight rolls her eyes, and begins to unwrap the wound. >It began to bleed again. >Twilight quickly closes it with magic. >”I need something to seal it.” >Discord hands Twilight a baby seal. >”DISCORD!” >”Fine, you never let the nurse have any FUN!” >Discord reaches into a first aid kit he made appear out of nowhere. >”Here we go!” >He hands Twilight a zipper. >Twilight began to get furious. >”If YOU aren't going to help, then LEAVE!” >She looked at Discord angrily.   >Blood began to spill out of the magic. >”Oh no!” Twilight screams, “NO NO NO!” >”Here Twilight,” Discord says calmly, “I’ll fix it.” >Discord summons a sewing machine and it sews up your legs. >”There.” Discord says, dressed as an old lady, “Just like how mamma did it!” >Twilight looks at Discord slightly confused. >”Thanks Discord… I shouldn't have shouted.” >”It fine Twilight. Really, its fine.” >They both look at you. >”What are we going to do with… You said human, right?” >”Right. A human. Haven’t seen one of these bad boys for…” >Discord puts a claw to his chin. >He pondered for a moment. >”Three? No, FIVE! No… A long time ago.” >Twilight used her magic to close the front door. >”Do you know anything about them?” >She sits on a chair she pulled up with her magic. >Discord scratches his chin. >”Of course! I mean… Not at all… I mean…” >”Discord, are you hiding something?" >”Well, hehe, you see Twilight… Eh… Humans are…” >Discord pulls down a screen and turns himself into an old projector. >3...2...1...   >”A LOOONG time ago, humans and ponies lived together peacefully. >A poorly drawn picture of a human and a pony were on the screen. >“They overcame challenges” >What looked like monsters were on the screen fighting a pony and human. >”Hardships” >A sad human and pony were on the screen. >”And even
LOVE
d one another.” >A pony was standing on top of a human who was on all fours. >”But one day… They all vanished.” >The single pony was on the screen alone. >”And no pony knew why… The End.” >The screen rolled back up and disappeared. >Discord returned to his original form. >”You see Twilight? It’s all just one big mystery!” >”Then why didn't I read about any? There isn't a single book about humans!” >Discord shrugs. >”I guess we’ll just have to ask the human himself.” >”Yeah.” >They both look at you, completely confused. >"When he wakes up..." >"Yeah..."
