>you burst through the front door of the hospital, with the purple pony still in your deathgrip “Hey! I need help!”, you shout as loudly as you can >a doctor and a nurse practically jump over the front desk as they rush over to you >two ponies come running towards you from down a hallway with a gurney >you have to move to the side to avoid getting hit by it >gently, you place Twilight on the bed >she lost consciousnesses on the way here, it was a miracle that she was still even breathing >the two ponies who had wheeled the gurney earlier begun pushing it down a hallway with a red line painted on the floor >must be the Emergency area >you begin running alongside the cart but are stopped as the gurney is pushed through a pair of doors >”I'm sorry sir, but you'll have to wait out here. Somepony will come get you later.”, a nurse with a white coat and pink mane quickly blurts out to you as she herself goes through the doors >you continue to watch them wheel Twilight away >when they turn a corner and you can't see Twilight anymore, you feel yourself getting choked up again >pressing your back against the wall, you slowly slide down to the floor and wrap your arms around your legs as you cry >this was all your fault >if you would have just told Rarity no and gone with Twilight then none of this would have happened >your mind keeps flashing back to when you picked her up and the condition she was in >would she be okay? >was she going to live? >if she does, she's going to hate you for the rest of her life >and she has every right to   >you go to dry your tears on your shirt sleeve, but stop when you notice that your still covered in blood >you consider going back home to change but you aren't going to leave the hospital until you hear back from the doctor >looking around, you spot a sign for the bathroom and figure washing out the bloodstains in the sink was the best you were going to get >inside the restroom, you reach for the sink handles when you notice that your hands are still shaking from the adrenaline >you splash some water on your face and grab a handful of paper towels and run them under the water >although there are still some faint red splotches, you managed to get a majority of the blood out >not bothering to dry off your shirt, you go back to the waiting room and take a seat >you couldn't help but notice it was eerily calm around here >sure the nurse is still behind the front desk and you see a pony wearing scrubs or a lab-coat every once in awhile >but there was no one in the waiting area with you >though in such a small town as Ponyville, you really couldn't expect a hospital to be too busy >your thought is interrupted as you see Rarity and the rest of the girls run through the front door >Rarity gallops to you, “How is Twilight? Is she going to be alright?” she says panting >the rest of the girls look as concerned as Rarity You reply softly, “I don't know. No one's come back to tell me anything yet.” >this sets Fluttershy off >she starts balling, Applejack and Pinkie Pie pet her back to comfort her >nothing left to do now except wait     >about two hours later >you continue your staring match with the linoleum floor, sitting up every so often to look at the clock >what was taking them so long? >the rest of the girls are doing about the same as you >with the exception of Rainbow Dash pacing and Fluttershy whimpering to herself occasionally >hearing clopping coming from down the hallway you were previously barred from entering, you see a pony you hadn't seen before wearing scrubs >immediately you sit up, the rest of the girls following suit >the orange unicorn walks towards your group, floating a clipboard >”First the good news, Ms. Sparkle is stable.” he states >you breathe out, not even realizing you were holding your breath >the doctor sighs as he levitates the clipboard in front of him, “Now for the bad news.” >”One of Ms. Sparkle's legs was badly injured. Some of the muscle was torn off and the bones were shattered. We had to use some rods and screws for the bones but there isn't much we can do about the muscle. It is possible for her to walk again, but most likely with a limp and not until months of physical therapy.” >he lowers his clipboard to look at all of you >”You can come back and visit tomorrow at 10 A.M.” >with that the pony walked off, down an unknown hallway >you sigh and turn around to face the group of mares >they all have some degree of relief on their face, except Rarity, who had seen how bad Twilight was firsthand >Applejack rubs her eye with a hoof, “Well, there's nuthin' else we can do ta'night. I guess we oughta get some sleep and come back tomorrow.” >the rest of the girls nod idly and yawn as they start to lazily exit the hospital with you   >back home, you lie down and stare at the ceiling, knowing you weren't going to sleep tonight
