"Oh, I got you a cupcake too Maple"
>She looks surprised
>"Really? What kind?!?"
>She starts digging through the bag with a crazy look on her face
>You trot over and grip the bag in your teeth
"Not until after dinner Maple"
>She looks disappointed for a second, but quickly goes back to her normal reserved state
"What's for dinner anyway?
>She walks back to the kitchen
>"I made some hay casserole with a side of fries"
>You could probably do without the casserole, but fries
>Maple always tells you 'To much carbs can make you fat!'
>Fuck that, fries are the bomb
"Is it almost ready?"
>You hear her from inside the kitchen
>"Yeah, just 15 minutes"
>You walk towards the couch and rest your head on a red pillow
>You snuggle up against the pillow and close your eyes, waiting for the food to be ready
>Although you didn't physically work, it has been a long day for you
>At least you got to meet up with some old friends back in Canterlot
>It was draining though
>You are able to find a bit of quiet during this time on the couch
>It's very relaxing to just take a breather every once in a while
>Maybe you should try meditating?
>Nah, thats gay
>Power-naps seem pretty good though, as long as you don't have anymore dress about dumb fish
>You are able to rest for what feels like 5 minutes, before Maple starts to prod at your neck
>The little pokes are annoying as shit, but at least it wasn't like the other time she woke you up
>"Dinner is ready Amber"
>You see a bit of frosting on her cheek
>Still laying on the couch, with your hooves comfily tucked underneath your head, you ask
"Maple...Did you eat the cupcake already?"
>She looks down at her hoof
>"No..."
>You shake your head
"Those were supposed to be for dessert, Maple"
>"How did you know I ate it?"
>You point out that she has frosting on her
>"Oh..."
>She wipes the frosting off her face
"It's fine, I can just eat mine"
>She looks back down
>"Oh, about that..."
>Your face gets a tiny bit angry
>That bitch did not just eat my fucking cupcake
>She starts to laugh
>"You should've seen the look on your face! I didn't eat your cupcake Amber"
>Well, that joke wasn't really funny
>But she's laughing, so your probably just grumpy
"So dinner is ready?"
>"Yup, just come to the kitchen"
>You get up from your favorite spot from the couch
>Well, your new favorite spot
>The last spot had a suspicious 'stain' on it
>You walk to the kitchen behind Maple
>The casserole smells like shit
>Jeez, you are a little grumpier than usual
>Maybe you need a shot of sugar to brighten you up
>You walk to the coffee maker and start to brew a cup
>"Coffee with dinner?"
>You walk back to the table while the coffee is being brewed
"Yeah, just to wake me up a bit"
>You say your prayer and start to eat
>Mostly just the fries though
>The casserole is kind of nasty
>You dunk your fries in ketchup, all the while, you fiddle around with your casserole, trying to make it like you ate it
>This is some filly stuff your doing
>You take a few bites out of the casserole and spread the rest around
>She'll never know!
>It's the perfect crime!
>"Amber, how come you aren't eating your casserole?"
>Damn
"Oh I am...It's just I like the fries more"
>You take a small bite of the food in front of you
>Trying to hold back a tear as you swallow it
>You open your mouth wide and show her
"See!"
>She rolls her eyes
>"If you want I can warm up some extra spaghetti"
>The offer does sound appealing, but you don't want to hut Maple's feelings
"Nah, I'm okay. This is fine"
>She nods her head as she eats her food
"Did I tell you I'm gonna buy a tent?"
>She looks up from her plate
>"Really? I love camping! When are we gonna go?"
>You push around the casserole with your hoof
"I was thinking instead of staying at that cabin, we can camp out...You know, ruing our fishing trip"
>"Wouldn't it be too cold?"
>True
"Well, we can always start a fire. It isn't that hard if you have the right type of kindling. And at night we can sleep together for warmth"
>You see her face blush
>"U-uh...yeah that sounds like fun"
>She's so cute when she's like this
"Don't worry, It'll be fine""
>You hear the coffee is just about ready
>You get up and start to pour yourself a cup
>After eating all of your potatoes, and moving around the casserole, Maple tells you to throw the remaining food into the trash
>You have already finished all of your coffee
>Well, both cups
>You get up and throw the rank casserole away and put your dishes into the sink
>"So, you want your cupcake now?"
>You walk back to the table and fetch your cupcake from the bag
"What do you think"
>Unceremoniously, you take a bit of the cupcake
>With that one bite you pretty much devour half of your dessert
>It's delicious though
>The soft cake part melts in your mouth, along with the creamy frosting on the top
>This is why life was created
"Mmmm. Oh my God this is so good!"
>You manage to speak with your mouthful of cake
>You try to savor the sweetness for as long as you can before swallowing it
>It saddens you to know that you only have half left
>So instead of eating the rest now, you bring it back to the kitchen and place it into a plastic tupperware
>You walk back to the kitchen and wipe the frosting off of your face
>"It was that good?"
>You lick some of the frosting off of your hoof
"Hell yeah! You picked the wrong flavor sis"
>She smiles and walks to the couch
>"So, you're still sleeping over Dash's house tonight?"
>You take a seat on the couch next to her
"Yeah, but just for a few nights. Nothing too long"
>She frowns
>"I get lonely when you're not here Amber"
>You rub your hoof on her head, giving her a soft noogie
"Jeez, it's only a night Maple. I see you all the time. Plus, I think it's helping"
>She smiles
>"Just don't show up hung over again"
>You blush, remembering what happened
"Yeah...I'm probably gonna stay of alcohol for a while..."
>"Good. So.... What do you wanna watch?"
"Hmm...You said that Breaking Babs was on tonight, right?"
>She picks up the remote with the use of her horn
>"It's not on, but we have it on demand"
>You shake your head
>It practically means the same thing
"Then lets play it"
>She turns on an episode and turns off the lights
 
>About 30 minutes in Maple starts to lean on you
>You roll your eyes
>She always does this
>The two of you watch a show together, and she falls asleep before it ends
>Usually it ends up with her snuggling next to you too
>But it makes you smile
>It's always the cute things that gets you
>You extend a wing around her, embracing her with your feathers
>She nuzzles in closely under your wing
>Placing a hoof around your chest
>She pushes her head into your chest as well, using your body as a soft pillow
>You prefer firmer pillows, but working out is drag
>Eh, whatever makes her comfortable
>You continue watching the episode
>This episode is pretty boring, besides seeing the main character living in the middle of a forest in the winter
>It looks like where you will be camping
>Well, besides all the snow
>It'll be cold, but not that cold
>Before you know it, you are starting to doze off yourself
>You catch yourself about to fall asleep every few minutes
>Maple is already fast asleep
>You can tell by her soft snores
>Just get through the end of this episode, and then you can go up to Dash's house
>But Maple does feel pretty warm against you
>Her soft breathing
>Seeing her chest expand under you
>You run a hoof through her mane, petting her head
>It amazes you that your sister could've even thought about doing something like that
>But that's in the past
>You already forgave her for that
>So now, as far as you could tell, it's just cute, sisterly snuggles
>You manage to make it though the episode without falling asleep
>Gently you nudge Maple awake
>She looks up at you with tired eyes
"I'm gonna go to Dash's place now"
>She nods her head and gets off of you
>But she goes right back to sleeping
>You poke her again
"Don't you want to go to your room?"
>She doesn't open her eyes
>In a jumble of nonsense, you manage to hear her say something about being comfortable
>You take it that she is comfortable on the couch
>You trot to her room and take the blanket off her bed
>The blanket is a warm and heavy comforter, with the design of leaves printed onto it
>You walk back to the living room with the blanket draped over your back
>You walk over to the couch and somehow place the blanket back onto your sleeping sister
>You tuck her in gently and watch her snuggle into a pillow
>You take a step back and examine your work
>You did a very good job tucking the blanket under her
>Like a bug in a rug
>You move back closer to her
"Goodnight Maple"
>You give her a soft kiss on the forehead
>You see her smile
>You assume that she is just having a dream
>Once at the door, you take one final look back
>You smile seeing your sleeping sister, tucked in so cozy like that
>You open the door and walk out
>Then, you close it and fly up into the sky towards Rainbow's house
