When I run, the world disappears Everything is clear Everything makes sense Nothing can stand in my way Nothing can stop me I am invincible.   The disasters of my life are gone They melt away, one by one The loss of my legs The loss of my father The loss of my innocence The life that once was It twirls and dissipates in clouds of dust And leaves only me.   Me, fighting and flying Pushing against the entire world The world that wants to tell me I can't The world that forces me to accept my fate That tells me to sit in a chair I refute the logic and the reason And I run.   It's me, just me Not living in denial, but defying the world Not running away, but moving forward Fighting the odds, succeeding, surpassing I will run, and I will fight, and I will never, never give in Because if I give in, I will stop And I don't ever want to stop   I just want to run.
