"Over there!"    Rin, with her telescope being held up to her eye with her feet, points towards a small patch in the sky. An awed look is written on her normally expressionless face.    Lilly turns away from her previous focus to face Rin. While her face shows concern, her milky eyes are unfocused.    "Did you see something, Rin?"    "A cloud."    "A... cloud?"    Her expression of concern turns to confusion, unsure of how to react to Rin's findings.    "You can't just call out that kind of stuff, we're looking for enemy ships!"    Emi pops her head out from below the deck, her pouty-face directed at Rin.    "It was special, though. It was trying to say something to us." Rin retorts, a hint of desperation in her voice. Lilly, still hopelessly confused of what's going on, faces Emi's voice.    "You need to take this more seriously. Right, captain?" Emi looks up to the stern of the ship expectantly. The captain hides behind her wheel, unsure of how to respond.    "R-right."    Finally feeling verified, she looks back at Rin, mocking her by sticking her tongue out before returning to the bottom of the ship. Giving up on ever understanding the situation, Lilly follows suit.    The ship is flying at a slow speed, and the winds are rather steady. All they have to do is watch the area for hostiles, so they can conserve fuel by going at this pace.    The sky is quite clear, besides the cloud Rin felt the need to point out, the sun shines brightly on the green earth. "It's really pretty", Hanako thought.    As she surveys the sky, more intent on appreciating the sight rather than scouting, she spots an object.    "Guys?" Hanako blurts out, trying to catch the attention of her crew. Emi and Rin, pre-occupied with their own tasks, don't catch wind her of meager call. Luckily, Lilly's keen ears catch it, and she runs up the stairs to greet it.    "Is something wrong, Hanako?"    "I... I think I see something."    Unable to confirm Hanako's findings, she turns to Rin. "What do you see, Rin?"    "It's a red thing. I don't think it wants to talk."    "Red?!" Emi dashes up the stairway, bumping Lilly's side on the way. She grabs Rin's telescope to look for herself.    "Oh god, I think it's hostile." Emi closes the telescope dramatically, looking over to Rin. While Rin's look is fairly nonchalant, Emi's face is covered in worry. "What should we do, captain?"    Hanako bites her lower lip, going over her options in her head. Anxiety fills her head as she looks over her crew. "I... I think..."    "We could always turn back, we don't have to engage them." Lilly suggests. Despite signing up for this position, she dislikes combat. It's difficult being a blind-crew member, but she can manage her job just fine. But the sound of guns firing is enough to split ears, and her hearing is already sensitive. It would be horrible to be blind and deaf.    "I think we can take em!" Emi jumps out of her worried state, putting on a face of courage. "We should be able to take them out from afar, if we're careful. It's just one ship."    "I don't think that's a very good-"    "L-let's do that." Lilly, surprised by Hanako's decision, faces towards her. "Hanako?" She had assumed that Hanako would have gone with whatever she suggested, but this time she decided against it. It had never happened before.    Emi, however, is excited. She rushes downstairs to man her favorite cannon, eager for a fight. Rin seems to already be sitting on top of her own gun. Lilly, sighing in defeat, goes to her own post.    "E-everyone ready?"    "Yeah!"  "Yes."  "We're with you, Hanako."    A slight smile creeps onto her face. With her crew-, no, her friends supporting her, new found confidence takes over her. She ups the ship's speed, turning it to face it's side to the enemy.    "F-fire!"    Hanako shouts her order throughout the ship. It is immediately followed by the sound of ammunition blasting out of their guns toward the enemy. Rin's first shot misses, but Emi's is a direct hit to their hull.    "I think that was a hit!" Rin scurries around to reload her gun, as Emi unloads the remainder of her clip. Lilly covers her ears, as she scitters about the ship.    Hanako keeps a steady speed, energetic. The sound of guns going off and explosions in the distance is strangely satisfying to her. Her grins grows wider and wider as more shots land on the enemy's ship.    The sound of guns blazing goes on for a while, occasionally seperated by Emi's cheering and Lilly's pacing. Finally, the enemy ship starts to move.    "It's moving! It's moving!" Emi turns her gun to lead the target, landing the last of her clip before going to reload. Adrenaline and euphoria fill her veins as the excitement of battle take over.    Then, it happened. The air is split by the sound of what seems like thunder come from the enemy ship, quickly followed by a barrage projectiles crashing into the hull.  The ship tips beneath their feat, causing Lilly to fall over and Rin to lose her balance. Emi's joy turns to horror.    "What the hell was that!" Emi shouts. "That's some serious fire-power!" Lilly frantically climbs up, and rushes to check the hull. "Oh my, the hull is down! We're vulnerable!"    "I think we should go." Rin finally speaks up, barely still on top of her turret. "That would be wise." Lilly says, agreeing with Rin. They look to Hanako, who is still on the same course she was before the blast.    "W-what are you guys doing? You should be shooting!"    "What?!"    A twisted grin is stretches from on ear to another on Hanako's face. She hadn't even acknowledged the fact that their defenses were down, or that her friends were in panic.    "We have to go, Hanako!"    "We can take them!" Hanako shouts back at Lilly, speeding up the ship. The crew starts to shout at eachother, Lilly urgently pleading to Hanako and Emi panicing, all the while Hanako stays on course.    Finally, the air is split again. Several shots pierce the ship, a few blasting against the balloon. The engine has somehow caught on fire, and at this point the ship is on it's last legs. Lilly, in panic, rushes down to the sound of flames on the bottom deck. "Fire, d-damnit!"    "We can't! The guns are broken!" Hanako, frustrated at her friend's inability to continue the attack, starts to turn the ship. Not away from the enemy, but towards them. "What the hell are you doing?!"    "W-we can still take them down!" Lilly pounds her wrench against the burning engine, struggling to keep it from breaking down.    Emi's anxiety has turned to terror, as their busted up ship flies towards the enemy. Screams start to fill the ship, as the crew is sent into chaos. Despite the panic, and their impending doom, Hanako's grin still stays stuck to her face.    Another barrage of shots fill the air, this time primarily hitting the balloon. They begin to lose altitude, but it doesn't matter at this point. The point of no return has been crossed. Their ship, now resembling a flaming ball, is heading full-speed toward the enemy ship.    The last thing that can be heard on the ship is the sound of Hanako's wicked laughter.
