RARITY POV   >Phew. That was close. >It's a good thing you were able to get him out of the shop before he saw her. >Considering Rainbow Dash is still in her dress, it could've been disasterous. >Well, the panic's over, now. >You hope she didn't get the wrong idea, considering what you, ah, had to do back there. >"I. WAS. IN. THE. ROOM!" >Ah. Never mind. >A rainbow coloured malestrom exits your studio at high speed, circling the room twice and coming to a stop, hovering just in front of your face. >It looks angry. >"RARITY!" "Y-yes, darling?" >"Don't 'yes, darling' me!" She touches down and steps closer, forcing you to back away. "You totally flirted with Anon just now!" "I-I, you must be mistaken-" >She doesn't give you any leverage. >"You BETTER not be thinking of doing anything with him, because I SWEAR I'll-" "Rainbow Dash, please!" >She growls. It seems she's giving you a chance. "...Listen, darling. I-" You pause, mustering the strength to tell the truth. "Wouldn't be helping you, if I wanted to 'do anything' with him. At all." >She raises an eyebrow. >"And even if I did, I wouldn't try anything NOW. You've got greater a reason to be with him than I have. I, I don't even know him all that well." >Her expression doesn't shift. She doesn't show any signs of getting angrier, at least. "Please, Rainbow Dash, you have to believe me. I wouldn't."   >She sighs. >"Fine. But don't do anything like that again." "I-I won't need to! Hopefully." >"Even if you need to!" "E-even if I need to! Yes." >"...Promise?" "Promise!" You nod, smiling. >She seems to think about it. >"G-good." >You breathe a sigh of relief. >Again, a close call. >You do admit, he's got the kind of body you'd be more than happy to date him for, but considering all you've done for Rainbow Dash by this point, it wouldn't seem...Worth it. >It's a good thing you didn't say THAT, though. >She is...Really scary, when she's angry. >"H-how did they feel?" >You blush. "...Excuse me?" >"Y-you heard me!" It seems that she's blushing as well. Rather furiously, in fact. "...They were firm. Not quite 'rock solid', but they were definitely tough." You hesitate to add it, but you're unable to stop yourself. "Rather...Pleasant to squeeze." >She seems to simulate this in her mind. "Mm." >A dreamy look passes over her face as she stares into space, and she exhales softly. >She eventually renembers that you're there, and snaps out of it. >"'K. Good." >You giggle. "I'm sure you'll have all the time in the world to feel them for yourself, after." >She flinches, but a smile settles on her face. >"Y-yeah!" She laughs. >Thank goodness. >...A particularly naughty idea runs through your mind. "Would you like to know...EXACTLY how big they were?" >She looks extemely suprised. >"Wh-what do you mean?" >You wink. "I took those measurements for a reason, darling." >Her blush seems to intensify by tenfold. >She retains her smile though. If anything, it grows larger. >"Y-yeah!" She jumps excitedly. "U-uh, y'know, since you took 'em and all." >You laugh. "Alright." You start to head back to the studio. "Let's see if the tea's ready." >She follows after you. >"...S-sorry about the mess." "Don't worry, darling, I'm used to it."   >The tea was ready, indeed, if a bit oversteeped. >She didn't seem to mind though. >You both savoured the tea, and -Completely disregarding the oppertunity to work on her manners- talked without restraint about Anon's body. >She stayed for a while after that, just to talk some more, which you were very pleased about. You didn't even need to ask. >Eventually, however, it was time for her to leave, and she bid you farewell, leaving through her door to find Anonymous. >Again, another thing you made for the sake of humor, but accepted. >It makes you happy, in a way. >Problems between you and her present themselves all the time. Even the friendship itself started because of a problem. >And yet, they only succeed in bringing you closer together. >You might say, she's possibly the closest friend you have right now. >You expected it to collapse a long time ago, due to jealousy, or lack of commitment, but it lasted, and still lasts. >At first, it was out of pity, or out of obligation to aid her in her time of need. >But now, if you were as close to her then as you are now, you would do it without question. >It's no longer just a simple matter of; 'Meeting up, as she needs to improve', but; 'Meeting up, because you want to'. >Even now, as you're cleaning the dishes after she's only just left, you're begining to miss her company. >Ah, if only you could attend the gala too. To oversee her progress, prehaps see 'the big moment' in action. >To...Be there for her. >You groan. >It's almost unfair, how you have to stay at home. >At least she'll be able to tell you about it. >...That is, if she feels the same way as you do about your friendship. >You have a good feeling that she does though. >You smile, and look out the window at the setting sun. >Another day gone, another day closer. >The moment of truth, so near, and yet, so far away. >You must savour this feeling, this sweet impatient urge. >It's not every day you get something to look forward to.   RD POV   >Where the heck is he? >You roam the skies, scouring the scenery for his unmistakable shape. >You've checked the bar already, but he's not there. >He wouldn't be at the farm...So he's gotta be at his house! >Lazy BUM. Why can't he be out and about like everypony else? >...Well, it's pretty much noon right now, but still. >You head in the direction of his house, following your internal compass. >Since you were in a hurry, you reach it in about 30 seconds. >Not bad. You really should start a record, seeing how many times you've been visiting his house recently. >You knock on the door. >... >Hurry up. >Come ON, hurry up! >You knock again, louder this time. "Anon, get off your fat ass and open the door!" >No answer. >Well, if he were in, he'd've opened the door by now. >You're done with looking for him. He can come to you. >You lean against his house. >Wherever he is, he's gotta come home sometime. >He'll get tired, he'll need a rest, and you'll be here to tell him how stupid he is for not showing up sooner. >"You done waiting for me to come out?" >You jump. >He's standing behind you, holding a bag. "Y-you...How long have you been standing there?" >"Should be asking you the same question." He grins. >Grr. "Just got here. You?" >"Just got here." He gives a cocky smirk. "Want me to open the door for you?"   "Nah." You grin back. "I was just hanging round the bar, and was wondering why I didn't have a free drink yet." >He laughs. >"Touché. So, the bar, then?" >You're in the process of mulling it over, when a delicious scent greets your nose. >It's coming from his bag. "Depends...What's in the bag?" >"Pies. A ton of pies. Want some?" "Uh, yeah, I want some!" >"If you do, we'll be staying here for today." He winks. "Oh...Fine." >You haven't eaten since this morning. You need those pies. >"What's the magic word?" >Oh, great. THIS again? "Please." You say it as flatly and insincerely as possible. >"Good enough. Although, the correct answer was 'Alakazam'." >OK, that made you laugh. But he's still stupid. >"Come on." >He approaches the door and puts the bag down to take his key out his pocket. >You have to resist the temptation to just grab the whole bag and fly away with it. >Spending the night with Anon and getting less pie over getting all the pie but spending the night alone, anyday. >He gets the door open, and picks the bag back up. >He steps back. >"After you." >Oh, no. You're not gonna fall for that. You can see that look in his eye. "Y-you go in first." >"Heh. Fine." He goes in. >Quickly, you go behind him and spank his flank. >"H-hey! Come on!" >You laugh. "THAT'S for yesterday, Champ."   >You follow him in. >Immediately, you run over to the couch and pounce on it. "SHOTGUN!" >He laughs. >"Come on, move over." "MAKE me." You grin. >He sighs, smiling. "Alright." >He puts the bag down and scoops you up in his arms. "Aley, oop!" >You laugh, enjoying every second of it. >He sits down on the couch with you in his arms. "Let's eat some pie." You point at the bag with your hoof. >"Not yet. We need a knife first. And a rest." "Oh, shut up. I don't need a rest." >"Sure you do." He turns his hold on you into a tight hug around your torso. "Hey!" You wriggle in his grasp. "Lemmie gooo!" >"Not today, not EVER!" He lies down on the couch, still holding you. >You can feel your body heating up. "Chaaaamp, come ooonnn." You flail your front legs in the direction of the bag. "I wanna eaaat!" >He chuckles. "Just a little longer." >You groan. "F-fine! But you'd better let me go, and SOON." >You sulk in his arms. >It...IS, pretty comfy, you guess. >Eventually, he sighs, relinquishes his grip on you and gets up. >"I'll go get the knife." "G-good." >Man, what is WRONG with you? >You can't act like that! He might figure out you have a crush on him. >...E-even if he is acting kinda stupid, too. But that's just because you've been hugging him a lot. You encouraged this. >It's gonna get a lot harder to keep it secret, now. You're not sure how much longer you'll be able to hide it.   ANON POV   >God damnit. You can't just pull a stunt like that. >You're making your feelings for her WAY too obvious. >She's cool with it, sure, but, what if she figures it out? >You've gotta save it for the Gala, that's when it'll count. >Ah, there's the knife. >You take it out, and move back over to the couch. "Alright, here it is." >"Finally!" >Time to set a ground rule. "OK, now I've got to have at least some of each pie. OK? That's the condition." >She seems suspicious, but she thinks about it. >"Deal. IF!" She pauses for effect. "IF, you only get one slice of each pie, and I get the rest." >That's stupidly unfair, but you're inlcined to say yes. >You kinda wanna see just how much she can eat. "Deal." >She seems suprised. "F-fine! Cool." >And so, the test starts. >Pie no.1. Lemon, lime, orange and chocolate. >Kinda sour, but the chocolate is blends well with the orange, and is distributed evenly around the inside of the pie to balance it out. >Rainbow eats all the rest of the pie with little hesitation. >Pie no.2. Strawberry, cream and apple. >Great choice of flavours. The apple chunks add an interesting contrast. >Rainbow eats the pie after a small pause to get her bearings, and rubs her belly after. Which was adorable to watch. >Pie no.3. Candy Floss. With icing. >Not sure how he came up with it, but as expected it's super sweet. The texture of the cotton candy feels odd to bite into pie crust to get. >Defintely showing signs of being full, she ate the pie slowly, loudly burping after. >The test goes on, and after the 6th pie, Rainbow rolls onto her side and gives up. >Took her long enough. You're impressed she was able to eat 6, though.   >"I don't wanna fly home tonight." >You laugh at her reaction. "Dash, you can't just keep staying here." >"Come oonnn, Anoon." "Champ." >"Shut up." >She burps. >Yeah, you have a feeling she might be too heavy to fly, right now. >You suppose she can stay at home for the night. "Fine." You pick her up, with difficulty, and take her upstairs. >With greater difficulty. >Somehow, you get the door open to your room, and put her on your bed. "I'll go sleep on the couch." >"Okay..." >You close the door. >...You go back in to tuck her under the covers. >"S-stupid-" She burps, cutting off. "Nice one." >She nuzzles into the pillow, grumbling. >OK. Now, you can go to bed. >She'll be alright. She can sleep it off. >Well, those pies were delicious. >You only ate one slice of each, and even you are pretty full. >Some were better than others, but you really think that Pudding has what it takes to make it big. >In anticipation for a moment like this, mostly due to the ammount of times RD has come over recently, you have a spare blanket you put in your cupboard that you can use, along with a pillow. >A part of you kinda wanted to sleep in the same bed as Rainbow Dash, but that's not going to happen. >You guess there's only one way that's ever going to become a reality. >And that. Is to ask the carpenter who made your bed, to make you a bunk bed. >Yeah. That, is going to be awesome. >You're sure as heck not going to sleep on the couch every damn day, that's for sure.
