See, there's been a lot of complaints about the new Clinic system. Aaand there's been a lot of complaints about the old Clinic system. SO. Here it is, my proposition.   As it stands, the HP scale goes from -10 to 10. If a pony is 3-10 on HP, they are free to leave the Clinic. If a pony is below the aforementioned range, they are strongly advised by the doctors in the Clinic to stay and heal up until said threshold is reached.     -REGAINING HP- If a pony is in negative HP, they McFucked up and must pay. So... They may only gain 1 HP per 12 hours. Doctors may roll with no modifiers, if they roll a 10 or above they receive 1 HP.   If a pony is in positive integers HP, they may be healed by the old, fun-first Clinic rules- If the doctor completes a task, be it disinfecting the wound, bandaging it or whatnot, then they must roll. If roll is above 18, then the doctor must roll a d6. If roll is above 10, then the doctor must roll a d3. The second roll indicates how much HP is gained. *NO MODIFIERS TO ROLLS, SEEING AS HOW ONLY DOCTORS ARE ABLE TO PERFORM THE ACTIONS* Tasks are all things considered positive for one's health- E.G. Disinfecting a wound, bandaging, setting a cast, whatever. NOTE:  Two doctors cannot both successfully bandage the same wound and roll for double the HP gained.   -REALISM VS. KEKPLAY-   See, disinfecting a wound is pretty goddamn simple.  So, here's my suggestion. *WHEN AN ACTION IS PERFORMED BY A DOCTOR, UNLESS THE ROLL IS A CRIT FAIL THE ACTION WILL SUCCEED.* What does this mean? It means that if GreenLight rolled a 7 to disinfect a wound, he disinfected the wound successfully, but the patient will not regin HP.  Liven will NOT be able to try to disinfect the same wound for HP gainz. *ROLLS ONLY DETERMINE STATUS OF HP, NOT WHETHER OR NOT THE ACTION IS SUCCESSFUL.  IT'S PRETTY GODDAMN HARD TO MISS WHEN DABBING A RAG SOAKED IN ALCOHOL ON A WOUND*   -CRIT FAILS- You dun goof'd.  Whether you >kissed the wrong lips for CPR or put a touniquet on a fleshy pringles can, the idea is that a crit fail on an action leads to a comically absurd and horrendous thing, hurting the patient for 1 HP.   -DEATH- See Lucyne's rules for rolling to evade death.
