Green Hoof's Carbine: A pony derivative of John Moses Browning's 1892 lever action rifle, the stock and barrel have been chopped down to make it small enough to be strapped in a holster on a pony's leg. Hoof has spent countless hours gunsmithing his particular copy, giving it several features and customizations that even the master gunsmiths of the Old World would be able to appreciate for it's simplicity and functionality. While most Whinnychester Gun Company Mare's Legs sold to ponies had an elaborate, deep-blue finish that was prone to rust, Hoof's weapon was refinished with a dull, durable matte-black finish. The normal gold-bead front sight and buckhorn rearsight was replaced with a rear peep sight and glowing front sight post. All edges of the weapon were carefully grounded and smoothed to allow for a quicker draw. The internal parts have been polished and fitted to make the action function smoother, allowing for a faster, more accurate rate of fire. A simple thick cloth sling is attached to be able to allow Hoof to let the weapon hang from around his neck.  The wooden furniture of the weapon is weathered, dinged in places and carved in others, but lacking any structural cracks and giving the weapon a "used but well-maintained" look. "Rain's Leg" is painted in purple on the left side of the buttstock in flared cursive English, also giving Hoof's weapon of choice a nickname.
