Naval combat explanation v1.0   There will be 3 roles, it will be up for your group of adventurers to choose how many cannons and repair they have at a given time!   Navigator-1d20+Peception Bonus. Steers the ship, puts the ship in favorable/unfavorable positions, Their rolls give bonus's to cannon's and the ships AC. 10-14 +1, 15-17 +2, 18-20 +3.   Cannons- 1d20+Ranged Bonus. Damage delt is 1d4+2 Fires the cannons at enemy ships, pretty straightforward.   Repair- 1d20+Woodworking+Construction Bonus. Works around the ship restoring HP, fixing holes, repairing the sail, retying ropes and most importantly making sure you don't sink.Your roll determines how much you heal! 1-9 1HP, 10-14 2HP, 15-17 3HP, 18-20 4HP!   The combat is broken down as so!   Step one- Navigators roll init to see who's ship goes first! PC=17 AI=10 Players ship goes first for the rest of the round!   Step two- Navigator rolls 1d20+perception for their turn! PC=19   AI=12 All the rolls of the player characters ship get a +3! All rolls of the AI get a plus 1!   Step Three- Cannons, the two cannoneer's will take fire at the enemy ship, rolling 1d20+Ranged Bonus+Bonus from Step 2 For this example there will be two ponies manning the cannons on each ship! Enemy ships AC will be announced every turn to hit!   PC cannon 1=    10+3=13 Thats a hit!                             1d4+2  = 4+2=6 The AI takes 6 damage!   PC cannon 2=    4+3=7 Thats a miss! The cannonball splashes into the water around the AI.   AI cannon1= 20+1=21 Thats a critical hit!         2d4+2  = 4+4+2=10! The PC takes 10 damage!   Step four-Repair! The AI has hit you for massive damage! Your ship has two holes in the side of it! fortunately you have repairmen down below the deck!   PC Repair 1=  14+2+2= 18! You manage to board up holes repairing your ship 4HP!   AI Repair 1=  1+0+0= The AI crew manages to plug a tiny hole, repairing their ship 1HP!   And then after this, the turn begins itself anew!   Once a ship has been completely immobilized. The crew may begin boarding their ship! The ship that is being boarded has a -5 to every roll for the first turn!
