>Fighting and killing other animals.
>Maybe there's one animal he could still kill.
Fluffy pony!
>Get a random pone from the shelter.
>Get its fluff trimmed down before you leave.
>Costs you a few bucks.
>Awesome cat is worth it.
>Take fluffy pony home.
>Babbling stupidly; "Wuv new daddy! Haf nummies pwease?"
>Give him a scratch behind the ears.
>It's the only kindness you'll get, fluffy.
>Make sure fluffy pony's bowels are empty before going inside.
>Let fluffy pony free in house.
>Dumb creature runs around, happily babbling about everything.
>"New house pwetty! Pway now? Yay!"
>Yeah...I'll go get your playmate.

>Old cat is sleeping on your bed.
>Give him a scratch, wake him up.
>Cat immediately hears ruckus in house.
>There's another animal in his territory!
>Gets up, stretches, hops down.
>You watch him stalk the enemy.
>Tail is twitching like a kitten hunting a yarn ball.
>He feels like a young cat again.
>Fluffy pony has no idea what danger it's in.
>The attack comes.
>"Yaaaagghhh! Munsta!"
>Fluffy pony tries to flee but it's useless.
>Claws and teeth rip into soft flesh.
>"Daddeeee! Hewp! Munster hewe! Munsta huwt fwuffy!"
>Fluffy pony is knocked off feet.
>Savage claw slash across belly causes fluffy to scream.
>Cat doesn't kill fluffy immediately.
>He's toying with it.
>Terrified fluffy tries to run away.
>He's attacked again.
>Cat pins fluffy and bites back of neck.
>Fluffy pony screams.
>"AAiiieeee! Munsta owwies! Hewp fwuffy pwease!"
>Jaws close on the soft throat meat.
>Fluffy cries in agony as he's shaken by cat.
>Death comes by suffocation.
>Old war cat rips into his prize.
>Brings you some tasty guts.
>You pick him up, let him sit in your lap.
>Old cat purrs.  He never does that.
>Just then, the vet arrives.
>Sees mangled fluffy corpse.
>"Whoa, what happened here?"
"I gave him a last treat."
>"Good" says Vet, "one less of those vermin."
>We're ready.
>Cat gets the injection.
>Vet leaves us alone.
>Old cat peacefully drifts off to sleep with his head in your hand.
>Give him a hero's grave in his favorite part of the lawn.
