Dratheus' idea   The piece will start with speaking bits. They’ll start slowly, and will be brief, going one at a time. Then they’ll start to overlap, adding the eulogy reading, (and maybe male crying sound fx?) and it’ll keep growing and getting more and more chaotic until you can’t distinguish between any of them. These voices will then fade away again one by one until just the woman’s voice, briefly, remains, and then cuts to total silence for a bit.   I don’t know how you want to go about this in particular. Maybe have piano start in at some point, adding to the mix, just loud enough to be heard but definitely not prominent over the voices. There definitely should be a moment or two of total silence after the last voice stops, but not too long because I think the piano should go start fairly soon after this. (If you start it during the voices, probably make it fit a pause in before starting up again after the silent bit.)   The piano immediately after this should be soft, and….darkly uplifting? If that makes sense.   This section is going to show how the whole album will be playing out. Starting slowly, shaky but moving on, and then slowly descending into madness, despair, and chaos; then coming to terms with the inner demons and all that. This will build up to the man’s eventual suicide so that he can be with the other voice/spirit who finds him.   ~~~   In Her Wake     You left and now the world is grim A shadowed forest cold You left without a word or wave And now my tears I hold   Though brief it was that we were bound I loved you more than life And now my mind is Sorrow’s home For you, my sleeping wife   ~~~ FrozenRaine   f: i - v(6) - VI - v(6) (I use this shit too much) c: i - VI - iv(6) - i e: i - iv(6/4) - i - v
