The sun filters down through the trees casting light onto the two adventurers. Walking side by side they follow an old worn out trail frequently traveled by farmers to reach the nearby town of Cyno.
 
"I wonder why the farmer was so adamant that we hurry out so fast" The man says.
 
He is carrying a large steel sword about 6 feet in length. It bangs against his pack filled with supplies ranging from food, to a bed roll, and even some pots and pans.
 
"Well he said that something very dangerous was attacking him" The girl replies "He sounded really scared."
 
She is equipped with a shortbow and in her quiver are about 45 arrows. The fletching on them ranging from single colours to patterned.
 
"Maybe so Hanako" the man replies "but there's nothing but Kobolds and the occasional goblin. Farmers are used to them."
 
"Who knows Hisao" Hanako replies "Maybe a nasty band of the critters arrived."
 
Hanako and Hisao stumble upon a small clearing. The sun cresting on the horizon illuminates the area and seemingly setting the trees on fire with the dusk light that shines.
 
"Good a place as any to set up camp" Hisao says as he begins to unpack the supplies.
 
"It's so beautiful" Hanako murmurs "Almost as if the trees themselves are ablaze!"
 
"Yeah the dusk light will do...wait" Hisao sniffs at the air for a moment "The trees are ABLAZE!"
 
Looking around the young duo notice that the top of the trees at the edge of the clearing are now burning and crawling through them is a young red dragon. He looks over at the two standing in the middle of the clearing and slowly begins to circle, amused at his new prey.
 
"This is why the farmer called us out" Says Hanako as she nocks an arrow into her bow. "Be careful Hisao dragons are dangerous no matter how young."
 
Hisao hefts up his great sword, a smile creeping across his face, and he says "No worries. I've been waiting for a time to test my skills. Dragon leave now or feel the bite of my blade!"
 
The dragon looks up feigning fear he replies "Oh no, another adventurer that thinks his blade can slash through my scales. Look at me human, I am a great dragon powerful beyond your comprehension. Lay back and be roasted I hunger."
 
Hisao hoist his sword and charges unleashing a mighty battlecry "FOR YAMAKU!" he leaps high into the air and brings his great sword down onto the dragons head, yet the dragon is quick and uses his wing to swat aside poor Hisao
 
"Nice try human now feel my flam..." he is interrupted as Hanako's arrow finds its way into the dragon's maw. He unleashes a roar and yells "You dare hurt me! I will roast you, you impudent worm!"
 
With the dragon's attention elsewhere Hisao seizes the opportunity, and he thrusts up the great sword impaling the dragon's leg.
 
Furious the dragon turns back to Hisao who is desperately trying to separate his sword from the dragon's bone "ENOUGH" the dragon yells "BURN WORM!" The dragon's maw clicks together creating a spark, and as the dragon unleashes a burst of gas ignites poor Hisao.

"NOOOO HISAO" Hanako yells
 
"Aww come on Lilly!" Hisao tells his friend "That's not fair!"
 
"Sorry Hisao" Lilly replies thumbing a dice with bumps so that she may read the numbers "Your Natural one got you stuck and the dragon rolled a natural 20" She contemplates something for a bit and continues "You know you almost died to a pair of sewer rats. You should have ran from the dragon."
 
Hisao and Hanako look defeated "Maybe, why did you throw a dragon at us though?" Hisao asks
 
"My my" Lilly replies "The villagers did warn you about the clearing. About how the trees regularly become ablaze. You should have listened Hisao."
