 "Do you know why do cities have boardwalks?" She interrupts you. "No one wants to swim in that water."
 "Are you telling me they just dump everything there?"
 "Who's to know?" She shrugs. "Jump to the water."
You rest your belly against the planks and stretch a hoof to the water to feel it.
 "Can I get used to it before?"
She groans but doesn't say anything, so you take it as a yes.
You climb down the wood structure and sink some of your hindquarters, still grabbing to the wood and shuddering at the cold embrace around your privates.
 "Y-You know, there's this story about the blind baturai back home." She doesn't answer. "He w-was one of Princess Luna's g-guards, and as one w-was enchanted to sleep on the day and live on the night."
 "What about him."
 "T-That he lost his sight on a fight, and was f-forced to retirement... H-he wandered for years, not h-having any reason to live w-without being a part of the guard, only a sword he couldn't use by his side." You try to stop your teeth chattering, but the water just seems so much colder today. Probably related to you forgetting to eat anything.
