Again your stomach lurches the only difference this time is that it is mostly water.
 
This dream sucks. There was only one other dream you can remember where it gave you this sort of feeling, the only difference was you weren't lucid then. It was like... You were screaming but from your throat came this weird like bat wing type feely stuff whenever you screamed and like you could rip it out but there was always more... Fuck that sucked. "Ok.. ok.. just got to calm down and get up. It's not really happening anyway, so I might as well start walking.."
 
Hardening yourself with the resolve that this was all just an elaborate firing of neurons in your brain you begin to walk. "I mean... what the hell, where is everyone else? Why did I just spend five minutes throwing up my insides? Fucking hate throwing up. Hate this dream and I hate ponies."
 
"Oh, well is that so?"
 
Turning around at lightning speed still wasn't fast enough, you only saw a blur of snow white before it struck.

This place... Had no name, no logic or reason, nothing she could pull from even put words to. If she could think of one place that was similar Rainbow Dash might have said the Everfree Forest but... well in short this place made the Everfree Forest seem like an all paid expense trip to see The Wonderbolts. Her gut clenched again and in response she narrowly dodged another flash of light as thunder rang throughout the plane. The sky was all but blotted out by black clouds which wasn't as unnerving as the fact that the sky was a deep crimson. In place of the sun a black void hung that somehow generated light into the world.. She would be forced to land; there was no flying in this unnatural place.
 
As she began to make her descent she almost wondered if landing was really the better alternative. The ground was also a deep crimson, dry and cracked. Life just didn't look like it would be able to withstand such an environment, however contrary to what she thought some form of life existed. There were rows upon rows of what seemed to be tiny leafless gnarled trees. This was the reason she debated not landing, the twisted trees constantly moaned and creaked as if they were alive and in pain. Shaking off her fears she finally landed next to Pinkie Pie and a now waking Twilight.
 
"Dash, Dash! She's finally waking up! Oooooh Twilight I was so worried that you wouldn't wake up! No matter what I did you wouldn't move or even smile!"
 
"Wh... what? Where.." again her mind was struck with pain. It was like someone was stabbing her mind with a heated knife. Cringing she whimpered.
 
"Give her some air Pinkie." said Dash as she put a hoof on Twilight's forehead. "I'm not too sure where we're at but I'm pretty sure this isn't someponies nightmare."
 
Waiting a moment for the pain to subside Twilight tried talking again, "No... I mean where... is Anon?"
 
"I don't know... When I came to the only ones here were me, you and Pinkie."
 
Twilight smiled; at least she was able to avoid his capture, even if it had pushed her powers to their limits. Upon seeing Dash's confused face she mustered the strength to talk again. "Right as I cast my spell something tried to invade my mind... It was too powerful for me to fight so I did the only thing I could and flung Anon somewhere..."
 
"Wait.. what? What do you mean flung? Where did you fling him?!"
 
"I... I don't know, it all happened in a fraction of a second but he should be safe." Slowly rising to her hooves she steadied herself. "More importantly we have to get out of here. I think I may be able to locate Anon and try teleporting us to him... Give me a second." Mustering her concentration she reached out her mind trying to grasp his location.

"Well? What's the holdup Twilight?" Dash added trying to sound as cool as possible.
 
"I... I can't seem to locate Anon... but I do feel the presence of two of our friends here! Hold on, we're going to teleport to them." closing her eyes Twilight's horn began to glow bright magenta then... fizzle. Beads of sweat pour down her face. Weakly Twilight looked up at Dash and Pinkie. "Looks like we’re walking to them..."

"Oh I must apologize once again for my rude behavior, are you certain that you are alright?"
 
"Yeah... Don't worry about it; I'm made of tougher stuff than most people."
 
You say but in reality you're still in quite a bit of pain. For such a refined looking and polite speaking lady--.. pony, the bitch sure was rough. Twilight’s spell had apparently failed and the end result was that you just poofed back into that unending hallway of doors. It felt weird and vomit inducing like something was trying to rip you in half. To make matters worse while you were still disoriented from the abrupt location change out of one of the doors this marshmallow pony strolls out and bucks you straight in the abs! As if the stomach heaving you were previously doing wasn't painful enough, you'd have retaliated if you weren't writhing on the floor in agony.
 
To be fair though I suppose it was the only natural thing to do. Breaking out of an eternal nightmare only to find out that you haven't woken up at all. Then to complicate matters further you see some strange  bipedal creature declaring his hatred of all ponykind. At least the two of you were able to come to an understanding and explain the situation, you weren't too sure you could have taken another hit.
 
"Besides" you begin to add when you notice her staring at you with guilt, "These abs could cut diamonds here, take a look for yourself."
 
"Oh my."
 
There we go, just smile and act like your ribs aren't fractured.
 
Deciding to take the conversation away from your lung puncturing injury you add, "I'm impressed though, so you just escaped by yourself? How did you figure out it was a dream?"
 
"Oh please Anon, as if Applej-- As if anypony would ever wear something so atrocious, it just had to be a nightmare."
 
That wasn't exactly the truth but there was no way she was going to let slip her nightmare was that Applejack had become a better fashionista than her. She was going to take that one to the grave. "It was as if the entire world had lost its sense of fashion." she ended truthfully.
 
"Hah, well that's great. So that makes four out of six elements rescued. Now if only we could meet up with Twilight. You sure you can't do it?"
 
“Unfortunately Twilight is gifted in magic, she would have to walk me through how exactly she did it and even then I'm not too confident in my magical abilities.”
 
Well there goes that plan… At least not that you have Rarity with you Twilight should be able to find you both. Not that you were the type to sit idle, "Well, we might as press on, maybe we'll be able to find them before they find us." then pausing for a minute, "I suppose I should arm myself." not wanting to get caught off guard like that incident a little bit ago. Before Rarity could question he raised his right hand in the air extending his fingers, "Embody."
 
High above his hand a two dimensional red circle began to draw itself with runes lining the outside of the circle. Not stopping there the lines continued to run inside of the circle and once completed took the shape of a pentagram. The runes on the circle slowly began to spin clockwise as the pentagram inside the circle rotated counter clockwise while the entire two dimensional symbol began to descend over Anon's arm.
 
To Rarity's surprise as the circle descended a pointed metallic object was being revealed. As the circle finally reached his hand he grasped onto a handle as it began to phase into existence. In all Rarity assumed that large steel slab was a sword except far larger than one anypony would use, she estimated it to be at least four to five feet long. The symbol now at his wrist shattered like glass, bringing the object down in front of him he smiled and strapped it to his back.
 
"You can use magic?" Rarity asked, lacking her usual refined voice.
 
"Hm? This? Not really. Since this is my dream I can just make whatever I please." he stated, though it wasn't really necessary for it to be that theatrical. He could have just had it instantly appear but he was just the type of idiot that liked things to be flashy.
 
Pondering for a moment on what he said Rarity replied, "Your dream? What are yo--" Cut short of her sentence Rarity on managed an "Eeeep!" in surprise as Anon drew his sword and leaped past her, turning in time to see him block an incoming... Shadow? Using the momentum he built with that charge he threw the shadowy creature back and slashed at it. He wasn't sure he could hurt a shadow but he damned well was going to try. To his surprise it howled in pain and began to retreat.
 
"Come on Rarity, let's follow it! Maybe we'll find something" he shouted back as he gave chase.

"This place tanks..." complained Dash, they had been following Twilight for a while but they hadn't been able to find any of their friends or a way out. Frustrated she chanced flying again and took to the skies not really hoping that she would find something but she just couldn't stand the situation. By chance however something caught the corner of her eye, peering closer whatever it was hadn't seemed to notice them yet. Cautiously flying back down she stopped Pinkie and Twilight holding her hoof to her mouth.
 
"I think I saw something guys, it was a little way's over there, I don't think it's seen us yet."
 
"Oh Boy! Is it somepo--" Twilight and Dash brought their hooves to Pinkies mouth reducing her words to quiet mumbles.
 
"Shhhhh Pinkie, we don't know what sort of force we're dealing with here so while we have the element of surprise we should investigate a little." warned Twilight before letting go of her. Pinkie in return brought her hoof to her mouth and made a zipper motion. Dash rolled her eyes.
 
They began their approach toward the creature in silence making sure to stay behind it and out of its sight. As they got as close as Twilight deemed safe they halted and took a look at the creature. Its body didn't seem to have a definite form; it was more of a black cloudy mist. It had been clawing at the earth while they were approaching it but now it had stopped. The thing formed a wispy tentacle from its body and reached within itself. A few seconds later it dragged out two pony figures and tossed them on the ground where it had been clawing. Looking back at Rainbow Dash, Twilight urged her to wait. The three of them began moving closer as the shadow began its work. Hundreds of vines sprouted from the ground rising up the two ponies that she was now able to see clearly.
 
To her horror both Applejack and Fluttershy were being entangled by the vines in seconds it rapidly covered their bodies. Their now covered formed resembled exactly the hundreds of trees around them. That alone was enough to make Twilight and the others scream but before they could from inside their prisons Applejack and Fluttershy began screaming. It was too much for them... Pinkie Pie burst into tears as she cowered in a ball. Twilight Sparkle too was crying but she was frozen in fear. The next instant something shot past Pinkie and Twilight barreling into the shade causing it visible pain. Letting forth and unworldly scream it retreated several meters back.
 
"Guys, snap out of it!" and with that Pinkie and Twilight were charging too, her horn shining with magic. In a burst she managed to blast off the vines from Fluttershy, Pinkie caught her as she fell. Before Twlilight as able to fire off another blast the shade closed distance and was upon Rainbow Dash, its two yellow orbs piercing straight through her.
 
"Dash watch out!" cried Twilight, but even she couldn't have predicted what was to come next. The shade had split into two and began to change their shape. As both shapes materialized Twilight Sparkle's jaw dropped and fear spread throughout her again.
 
"Oh my dear ponies how have you fared? I'm sure you haven't forgotten about me?" questioned a voice that feigned sadness before flashing a toothy grin. The thing that stood in front of Dash was an abomination. Its body pieced together from various animals made a mockery of natural order. "However do you expect to defeat me when you lack the Elements of Harmony?"
 
"Nopony will be able to stop us! Once you are gone the night will reign forever!" boomed a pony whose mane was the color of night. "All will bask in Nightmare Moon's Eternal Night!"
