Context: Post Unicon, I reached out to Onetrick and Eighttrack. Because we had all worked together for #laspegassist and were able to harbor some mutual truce during this time, I was offering an olive branch between our groups. Final intercepted the message. The following is that exchange.     ---------------------------------------------   MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.64.142.202 with HTTP; Sun, 14 Apr 2013 09:56:49 -0700 (PDT) Date: Sun, 14 Apr 2013 09:56:49 -0700 Delivered-To: bronyville@gmail.com Message-ID: Subject: Collaboration for Upcoming Convention Season From: Abel Sider To: onetrick@everfreeradio.com, eighttrack@poisonjoke.com Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=e0cb4e43b13fb99b7d04da550568   --e0cb4e43b13fb99b7d04da550568 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1   Dear One and Eight,   Hi, it's AC. You may remember me during that convention that exploded into tiny little pieces and we all somehow managed to do something with it. I was glad we were all able to work together during the crisis and overall things seem to turned out better.   I'm writing today in regarded to the upcoming convention season. EFN has arranged MC rights similar to last year for all the major conventions. I would be interested to find out if there was a way myself and/or my co-host Chef Sandy would be able to be part of the MC team for these events. In the past we've approached conventions and were told that your team has managed most if not all programming operations when it comes to these conventions.   We have a proven track record to stand by - 100 episodes, 800 reviews on iTunes, constant rating in toe top 20 of TV and Movie audio podcasts on iTunes. I know we can put on a professional and entertaining panels and what better way of showing that there is still cooperation between EFN and other groups then working together during the upcoming season. Conversely, a lot of our attendance is dependent on how much access we can get. We go to be entertainers and anchors. if we can't do this is ultimately a waste of time.   I hope we can at least chat either via email or Skype about this. I had reached out to Final after the events of Unicon and he never replied. I'm not sure if this was business or him still holding a possibly rightful grudge. I'm in this to make friends and work together. I'd far rather help your team with programming and help provide another face for your streams.   Sincerely, Apple Cider Bronyville Podcast   --------------------------------------------------------------------   Date: Tue, 23 Apr 2013 07:10:07 -0500 From: Mike Bernstein User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20130328 Thunderbird/17.0.5 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: "eighttrack@everfreeradio.com" ,  bronyville@gmail.com, Erin Lukens Subject: Re: Fwd: Collaboration for Upcoming Convention Season References: <516c3a23.0a06e00a.4ba5.ffff8a4a@mx.google.com> In-Reply-To: <516c3a23.0a06e00a.4ba5.ffff8a4a@mx.google.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Gm-Message-State: ALoCoQkePSt6eQ524/UpaAwZFkX0ASq/fomLrI6A5GfSkLQRR6070O3YCfNbkKzb5Sv5GiSUyjcP   Cider, you must have known I'd see this, but anyway,--   Let me be brief: I don't hold grudges. In the chaos that ensued after LPU I received a flood of messages (most positive, thankfully) but a lot of them fell through the cracks.  I've gone through my email logs and didn't find anything from you from then, so if you contacted me it must have been through another means that I missed.   EFN is the official streaming/moderating group for these events for a reason. We work very, very hard to produce the best content and I spend endless evenings in calls, writing emails, and texting to make sure what we offer is as beneficial to the events as it is to my group.   I'm not categorically against you guys doing hosting for some panels, etc, but truth be told you reap what you sow. Your viewership is respectable, and I have no doubt you care about your show, but that's all besides the point here. In the past, on multiple occasions, Bronyville has lashed out at myself and EFN in front of and behind the scenes.   So at a base level, tell me, if we go out of our way for you, how would you go out of your way for us?   If you have any suggestions, etc, please send them to me. It's categorically unprofessional to try and go around me to EightTrack, OneTrick, or my staff, and besides, we mostly make decisions together anyway. One of the least-noticed strengths of EFN is how much we work together behind the scenes. I don't do anything by myself, it takes all of us.   -FD       ----------------------------     MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.64.52.168 with HTTP; Tue, 23 Apr 2013 09:41:40 -0700 (PDT) Bcc: Submit@DerpyHooves.com In-Reply-To: <51767A1F.2040202@everfreeradio.com> References: <516c3a23.0a06e00a.4ba5.ffff8a4a@mx.google.com>         <51767A1F.2040202@everfreeradio.com> Date: Tue, 23 Apr 2013 09:41:40 -0700 Delivered-To: bronyville@gmail.com Message-ID: Subject: Re: Fwd: Collaboration for Upcoming Convention Season From: Abel Sider To: Mike Bernstein Cc: "eighttrack@everfreeradio.com" , Erin Lukens Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=14dae9d24bb417323a04db09dc1a   --14dae9d24bb417323a04db09dc1a Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1   Final and Staff,   It's not unprofessional. I know I have a better working relationship with Eight Track, One Trick, Dusty, and etc. I'm fully aware the email would have gotten back to you. I was simply initiating contact to those who seemed interested in listening and working together. And I've not ever lashed out at EFN as a whole. Mostly I've lashed out against your actions which I find unprofessional and made you out to be kind of a jerk. I have a great time with every single member of EFN sans one. I never sent any message to you through email. It was a few messages through Skype. I'll provide one below for your benefit,   Friday, March 8th "Hey FD, not sure if you've heard any rumblings about our last show. But we buried all hatchets. There's far, far more that could be done trying to work together then getting mired is pettiness. And for that I apologized."   As for what we both get out of this - we get the ability to perform and interview at conventions. You get our fanbase engaged on your network and it's a sign of good faith that we can work together. I mean, we did work together at Unicon with no issues once things went south. In the end we're both passionate about putting on a good show.   It is your network and you decide who and what is on it. All we're asking for is to work together at conventions in some minimal capacity since EFN locks up the panels and only EFN staff can do much on stage during cons. As I believe we said before - it makes no sense to even attend conventions if we're designated to just sit around in some room begging for some presence when everything has been locked up.   If you want to approach this like adults who can come to terms and work together then I'm open to listen. If you want to continue this personal spat and just let this all disintegrate into what it was before then so be it. I did my part, I've apologized, I've tried to play nice - I really don't have any clue what else I could do beyond giving you an actual olive branch.   I'd like to talk to your team as a whole about this. You make decisions as a team yet it always seems you're the one talking to me. I'd love to come up with ideas and suggestions but I feel it's lost breath until we can agree to actually give this a shot.   AC       -------------------------------                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.64.52.168 with HTTP; Wed, 1 May 2013 09:42:05 -0700 (PDT) In-Reply-To: References: <516c3a23.0a06e00a.4ba5.ffff8a4a@mx.google.com>         <51767A1F.2040202@everfreeradio.com>         Date: Wed, 1 May 2013 09:42:05 -0700 Delivered-To: bronyville@gmail.com Message-ID: Subject: Re: Fwd: Collaboration for Upcoming Convention Season From: Abel Sider To: Mike Bernstein Cc: "eighttrack@everfreeradio.com" , Erin Lukens Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=047d7b2e45f047feaf04dbaaccdf   --047d7b2e45f047feaf04dbaaccdf Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1   Checking back in. I've made my position clear; if you want our help, tell us how you'd help us in return. You didn't do so, so I'm not interested in further discussion.   -FD
