"Now, Twilight," Applejack said, matter-of-factly, "you know there's nothing I would love more than to come with you on your visit to see the Princess." She looked around sheepishly. "It's just, I got all these apples here that need buckin', and Applebloom has some project she needed my help on for school, and Granny Smith-"         "It's okay," you interrupted, defeated. "I know how many responsibilities you have here at the farm. I couldn't possibly expect you to drop everything and come with me at a moment's notice."         "Sorry, Twi," she said apologetically, "maybe next time. Make sure 'n tell Princess Celestia I said hi for me, alright? And let her know I'll have a letter comin her way real soon."         "Will do," you said as you turned away to leave. "Thanks anyway."         "Well, there goes that idea," you thought, "now it looks like I'll have to go to Canterlot on my own. Not like it's anything new, but still, the Princess said she had an important task for me, and so far it seems like my friends are pretty vital to me doing pretty much anything nowadays. I've kind of become reliant on them. Is that a bad thing? No. I wouldn't have been able to do half the stuff I've done without them. I need them, and that's fine. I'm fine with that. Fine, fine, fine. Perfectly fi-" You somehow tripped over something while walking and fell flat on your face. No... it wasn't something... it was somePONY.         "Pinkie Pie?" You ask, "What in the hay are you doing lying on the ground?" That bouncy pink pony never ceased to surprise you with her antics.         "What are you doing NOT on the ground?" Pinkie asked in return, quick as a whip.         "Well, you see, I was trying to do this crazy thing called WALK." You replied, disgruntled.           "Oh-OH!" Pinkie Pie squealed, "That sounds like FUN! Walking to where?"         "I already told you, Pinkie. I have to go see the Princess. She has something important for me to do," you said, a bit annoyed that she didn't remember as it had been just a few hours that you had asked her to join. "You said you couldn't come because Gummy had a tooth-ache... speaking of which, where is Gummy? Did you just make that up? Pinkie?"         "No, no," she replied quickly, "I said he had a GUM ache. All I had to do was give them a little rub-a-dub-dub and now he's feeling better than ever!" She made a few quick glances around, to both of her sides and then the ground. "I can come with you now, if you want. I'm not really doing much."         You rolled your eyes "Okay, Pinkie, come on, then. I'm running late as it is." She quickly hopped to her feet and bounced happily alongside you as you continued towards the train-station.
