Teej woke up with a start on the floor. Wait, on the floor? That wasn’t right; after all, the last thing he remembered was seeing Viol in his room and cast a spell from one of his handbooks. Obviously the spell had knocked him unconscious, but what spell could Viol have cast, even accidentally, to cause that? Teej was in no obvious pain, outside of a throbbing foot that likely came from the fall, so it couldn’t have been an attack. Besides, he wouldn’t have fallen unconscious from that, and a knock out spell itself would have given him a chance to dodge at his skill level. Any of the transformative spells shouldn’t have knocked him out just by their own nature, and they would be hard to cast with the handbook being dropped as Viol did. Just what the hell was Viol trying to do with a spell anyways? Sensing that the spell that was cast was inactive currently and that there were no traps in his vicinity, Teej began to gingerly lift himself up off the ground. He noticed the dropped handbook near his face, Viol must have just about hit Teej with it in the fall for it to have traveled this far over. But Teej also noticed the text of the handbook was facing himself. Odd, did the book spin around in the fall, or was Viol that incompetent that he was carrying the book upside down. As he lifted himself up, he also noticed he was farther in the room than he remembered being, and he was facing the open doorway now, standing next to the bed where Viol was standing before, nd he also felt a bit shorter… Suddenly the fog in his mind cleared, he picked up the handbook and read the spells on the page to confirm his theory, and inspected his person further to cement what had happened.   Viol began to stir, his head was pounding as he pulled himself up slowly from the carpet. He sputtered a bit, having collected some lint in his mouth while down there, and went to pull it out with his hand when he brushed up against his cheek and recoiled in shock. He had facial hair.  As he began to feel around on his chin, he found it to be a bit scraggly, probably similar to Teej’s stupid look. Oh well, he could always shave it. He checked out his arms and found them to be long and thin. He was probably quite a bit taller now that he was 18, and his hair seemed to be longer. Probably grew out to 2 years’ worth of hair. Wait, how long was he out? Didn’t he need to get out before Teej got back? No wait, Viol remembered. Teej already found him in the room, but where was he now? Viol got up and stretched with a yawn. When he opened his eyes, he was immediately startled and almost toppled over at the sight in front of him. Somehow he himself was standing in the room. The Ditto had even adopted one of Viol’s trademark scowls. “Care to explain what the hell you were doing casting Mind Switch in my room?” the other Viol asks. Wait “my room”? Viol turned to make sure he was still in Teej’s room and caught a glimpse of a mirror. Teej’s face stared back at him and moved the same ways he moved, and finally it dawned on Viol that he was standing where Teej stood when he got caught. Him and Teej actually switched bodies somehow, and the other Viol must be Teej in Viol’s body. “Shit, is this fucking real?” Viol says in Teej’s voice. It sounded strange hearing Teej talk like this, so impassioned and immature in tone, but it was natural to Viol’s way of speaking. “This wasn’t what I was trying to do at all, fucking spells.” “So you were in here trying to cast a spell?” Teej in Viol’s body says, suppressing his anger and disappointment. “Why didn’t you just ask me to help you with whatever spell? You could have killed yourself, and you don’t even know how to use modifiers.” “I didn’t want you to know, and it wasn’t a big fucking deal,” Viol says, defensively. “I figured an aging spell wouldn’t be that hard, and I was just trying to win a bet.” “Wait, a bet?” Teej asks. “What bet would make you… Hold on. You were trying to cast Age?” “Yeah, I had to be 18 so I cast it,” Viol says. “But I should have known it had to have some bullshit conditions to make it work right, just never thought it’d backfire like this.” “It didn’t backfire, the pages just flipped when you fell and Mind Switch got cast instead,” Teej says a bit exasperated. “And don’t tell me this bet has to do with the contents of this… I mean THAT letter you have?” “The fuck are you talking about?” Viol asks, before seeing Teej is pointing towards his left pant’s pocket. Viol reached in and pulled out a letter from his sister Vanille addressed to Teej:           Hey Teej,         Sorry about the wait. Viol couldn’t get us into the restaurant without someone older present, so he stormed off. However, having visited, I was thinking maybe it would be a nice place for you and me to go and talk. My treat of course. For now I’ll leave you to your nap. Let me know what you decide!         -Vanille   “That sneaky bitch,” Viol says. “I should have thought of inviting you first! I mean, me first! Err, wait, I wouldn’t have to ask you. I-I could ask someone else out too!” “So you two made a bet on who got into the restaurant first, and that’s the reason you tried to cast an Age spell?” Teej says ignoring Viol’s rambling. “First of all that’s not even how Age works without some bullshit shoddy GMing occurring or resorting to touching yourself.” An audible snicker emerged from Viol’s borrowed throat at the comment, but Teej ignored it. “And secondly, even if it did work, Age is permanent,” Teej says. “You can’t reverse it without investing in a wish or magical artifact.” “So I’d be older than Vanille forever, who care?” Viol says getting bored of this lecture. “Listen to me,” Teej demands, his patience running thin and his voice betraying his authority. “You need to accept responsibility for your actions. You realize we’re stuck like this for a few hours, right?” “So what?” Viol says. “It’s not like we have plans with anyone tonight. Vanille came home after giving you that letter and your only plans were with her, right?” “Wait, how did you know those were my only plans?” Teej asks confused, but Viol doesn’t seem open to answering that. “At any rate, I just made plans for tonight right before coming in here.” “Wait, what!?” Viol exclaims, shuddering at the realization. “P-please don’t tell me you made plans with that /d/ chick.” “No, she’s busy with Emily today again,” Teej says. “Oh thank Mew,” Viol says with a sigh. “I took up your sister on her offer to go to the restaurant, actually,” Teej says plainly. “WAIT WHAT?” Viol yells. “What the fuck, man, did you just rush home after getting that letter and ask her out?” “No!” Teej says, blushing a bit. “She was in the kitchen when I got home and we talked a bit, that’s all. I just figured I needed to make up for falling asleep waiting for her.” “Well that’s fucking great,” Viol hisses. “You just set me up on a date with my own goddamn sister.” “That’s not even the worst part,” Teej says. “The way Mind Switch works, it’s heavily advisable that we be in close proximity when the spell wears off, or else.” “Or else what?” Viol asks. “Or else it could be too far for our souls and minds to cross, and we could end up stuck like this forever,” Teej says. “Or worse.” “Worse?” Viol questions. “Yeah,” Teej says. “We could end up dead. Our souls forever wandering, seeking a way home, while our empty shells decay.” “Okay Brycen-man, rein in the drama,” Viol says. “Look it’s simple, we’ll just cancel the dinner.” “No, absolutely not,” Teej says. “I may not be in my body, but it’s still honor-bound to keep any promises I made.” “Fine, whatever,” Viol says. “Then we’ll just make sure all three of us go.” “Do you really want to ask her if it’s okay to invite her brother to a date?” Teej says. “A date where she wants to talk to me without you hanging around?” “We’ll just tell her about the spell, I guess,” Viol says. “She’d probably understand.” “No, we can’t let her know about this!” Teej says, a bit surprised at his apprehension to the idea. “She’s going to think its weird, right? Besides, she’ll know you did it to win the bet.” “You’re right!” Viol realizes. “That bitch will never let me live it down. So that mean we have to pretend to be each other until the spell wears off, right?” “That’s right,” Teej says. “And that means you need to behave yourself and keep your temper under check.” “It also means you need to suck less,” Viol returns. “You better not hurt my reputation any if you get challenged to a battle.” “Why would I battle anyone?” Teej asks with a laugh. “Because, you said we have to be close together in case the spell wears off, right?” Viol asks. “Wouldn’t that mean you should stick outside the restaurant?” “I guess you’re right, but I could still refuse a battle, you know,” Teej says putting his hands in his pockets. “You can’t refuse a trainer battle!” Viol says. “Especially not while you’re in my body. I’m undefeated and I’m not going to let you break that.” “Well how the fuck am I supposed to battle then?” Teej says. “Vanille is going to be here in half an hour, there’s no way you can teach me the complicated mechanics of battling in that time.” “Don’t worry, I’ve taught people much more in less time,” Viol says with a smirk. “Besides, we’ll need the rest of the time for you to teach me how to be so much of a beta faggot.”   “Teej, are you ready?” Vanille calls out as she knocks on the man’s door. She could hear muffled voices in the room before finally Teej emerged. “Heeeeeey Van,” Viol says in Teej’s body. “Fancy seeing you here, m-milady.” “Yeah, I’m here to take you to Le Moyenne, remember?” Vanille asks. “You didn’t forget, did you, sleepyhead?” “No, of course not,” Viol says. “’Twas merely a joke, thank The Emprah.” “Who were you talking to in your room anyways?” Vanille asks peeking in. “O-oh I was just talking to your brother,” Viol says opening the door a bit and looking towards Teej. “He was just leaving, right?” “Y-yeah,” Teej says, but gets a look from Viol to change his attitude. “I mean, w-why the fuck would I keep hanging around in this retard’s room when he’s not here?” “Probably because you’re a closet fag,” Vanille says, teasing. She didn’t notice the slight color appear in Teej’s cheeks as Viol tried to refrain from retorting. “Anyways, if you’ll give us a moment, Vanille,” Viol says after regaining his composure. “Te- Viol was just going to grab something from his room for our night tonight.” “Oh?” Vanille asks, cocking an eyebrow at Teej, wondering what her brother had planned. “Yeah, he asked to borrow a few Pokemon,” Teej says. “It’s no big deal.” “I’m surprised, you’re so calm about this,” Vanille says. “You realize I’m going to win the bet, right?” “Whatever, it’s a stupid bet anyways,” Teej says as he leaves the room and cuts a look at Viol. “Bets just make people do stupid things.” Teej and Viol walk back to Viol and Vanille’s room, and Teej digs in his borrowed body’s pockets for the keys to unlock it. “So remember the plan,” Viol says. “Give us a 5 minute head start so Vanille doesn’t get suspicious, then get your ass down to that restaurant ASAP. The directions should be on your map.” “Got it,” Teej says as he unlocks the door. Viol grabs up some Pokeballs from his PC and makes sure to switch out some of his best trained Pokemon for Teej. They’d probably be able to battle without his commands. “Alright, I’m headin’ out,” Viol says as he leaves the room. “Just remember what I taught you. Oh, and just so we're clear, don’t touch my dick while I’m gone.”
