This is a summary of the changes to the tulpa.info IRC channels policies.  Actually read it... which you're likely here to do ANYWAY, considering you clicked the link.  The full forum version will be linked to later.   1: The addition of a third main channel, #Tulpa_SubC.  This channel (while it used to exist) is now being used as a place for more experienced users.  As such: A: #tulpa.info's cleanliness and On Topic standards are going to be enforced more consistently.  Act on your best behavior there, treat it more maturely than many of you used to. B: #tulpa_SubC will be allowed a degree of off topic of the sort that normally spawns from on topic chat.  Don't let the off topic run rampant, and bring yourselves back to topicality when people are trying to discuss actual topics.  If you don't abuse this and you use this chat in a mature manner, this will be allowed to stay.  So don't screw it up by treating it like OT.  Still bring any moderation concerns to #tulpa.mods rather than any main channel. C: Even if the topics you discuss are more advanced and you're mostly talking in SubC (well, that's the idea), you should still keep an eye on .info for questions from newcomers and less experienced users.  If #tulpa.info is being used properly, it should be relatively easy to see when someone's needing help, and I know many of you are capable of helping newer users.   2: There are new rules for the IRC channels, they're listed in the topic.  These rules are less complicated to avoid massive piles of specifics and legalize.  That being said, they're more open to interpretation, and you should treat them maturely.  Do not attempt to abuse the rules just because they lack specifics.  That's actually one of the rules, so go figure.  Which leads to...   3: There has been some rearrangement in the moderation staff.  There is a new position for Chat Mod Leader, currently held by MQQSE.  One of the points of this position is to hold mods accountable for their actions.  If you have any issues with a specific moderator, you should still take it up with them in #tulpa.mods first.  But if you feel the need to press further, take it to the Chat Mod Leader.  Don't skip the chain, always try talking things through with the moderator in question first, regardless of the moderator's past actions.   Treat all this maturely and these changes should lead in a good direction.  And, really, a good community is what we all want, right?
