>Twilight walks through the archway, and into the tunnel. You hesitate a moment before following her inside. >You can only see about 8 feet into the tunnel. Beyond that, there is only darkness. "Miss Twilight, I don't think we'll be able to see anything in there..." >"Not a problem!" >Twilight's horn suddenly starts emitting a purple glow, which lights up the tunnel. "Oh... Very nice." >About ten feet in, the tunnel curves right. A few feet on from there, there's another curve. The tunnel also slopes down slightly, and becomes quite a bit wider. >"...Anon, look up there!" >The pony points out two, strange... things, hanging from the roof of the cave. >The way the light from Twi's horn hits them, you can tell they're made of clear liquid. >Before you can ask Twilight what they are, on of them drops down from the roof. >*Squish* >It jiggles as it lands on the tunnel's floor. >*Squish* >The other one drops, too. >"Uh-oh." >Both of the blobs start slowly slinking towards Twilight... You step in front of her, and prepare to draw your sword. "Should I-" >"Yeah."   >You draw your sword... The creatures are unfazed. But, can they even see you? They don't seem to have eyes. >...You're not sure what kind of effect your sword is going to have on something made of liquid. Let's hope it isn't going to be useless. >The nearest creature begins undulating. >It jumps at you, changing shape as it does so. It morphs into a vaguely fish-like shape. Its head has an open mouth, with pointy teeth, and two simple dot-eyes. >However, only the front half of its body is formed- Its tail is just a mass of dripping water. >You step back, and strike it as soon as it lands on the ground in front of you. >The thing seems to have been hurt... It undulates wildly for a brief moment, then just... Pops. Other than a small puddle, there's nothing left of it. >Before the other blob gets a chance to attack you, you quickly approach it and thrust through its 'body' with your sword. >It briefly shakes like the first one, then... >*Pop* >...Well, those weren't any trouble. >How much damage could they have done if they'd hit you, anyway? They're just water. >...Then again, it might be best to wonder.   >So, Equestria has generic blob enemies in addition to its many magical creatures... >"Anon, we'll have to be careful of any creatures we come across in here. Old shrines often become home to many strange creatures... Some of which are dangerous." "Yeah, I know from experience... Sort of." >You soon come out of the tunnel, and into a small room, carved into the rock. >At the end of the room, a few small steps lead up to a stone door, which is half open. There is an ornate pattern of a seap0ny carved into the door. >You notice the door has no hinges, instead, it slides into a hollow wall. >"Hmm... I guess the leader guy could have slipped through that door."   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEwWM9kTLNU   >You walk up to the door, and begin to push it open further. This stone door really isn't as heavy as you'd have thought, but, being a stone door, it's still quite heavy. It takes you several seconds to open it all the way. >You step into the next room, after Twilight. What you see, isn't quite what you expected... >"Oh..." >This room is round, and rather large, about fifty feet around. The blue stone walls are smooth, and are covered by gorgeous patterns. Including the door you came through, there are four identical doors positioned evenly around the room. The left and right doors are both covered by chains, and large padlocks. >In the center of the room, there is a large, circular pool of water, which seems to be about three stories deep. There are several blue fishes swimming around in it, and you're pretty sure you can see a wooden chest at the bottom... >"Look, Anon... Two of those doors are locked, which means he can only have gone through that one..." >Twilight motions towards the door on the other side of the room. "Right. Let's go after him." >"Okay, just give me a moment. I'm going to create a force field around this door. Then, if the leader guy manages to give us the slip, somehow, he won't be able to escape this place. >Did she say force field?   >Twilight's magical aura surrounds the door, and drags it out of the wall, until it's closed completely. >You proceed to watch as a transparent, round, purple barrier forms around the door frame. Once it's completed, Twilight taps it with a forehoof. >The force field produces an odd sound when she touches it... >"There we go." >Wow. A real force field. >You gently tap the barrier with the tip of your sword. This produces a sharp, glancing sound. "...You amaze me yet again. Miss Twilight, can all unicorns make force fields?" >"Well... I guess so. Pretty much any unicorn could potentially create a small one that lasted a few seconds, but they wouldn't be able to take much damage before failing. Mine are... Quite a bit more durable." >"I see..." >You walk around the circular room, and come upon the only unlocked door. >Just as you're about to lay a hand on it, Twilight stops you. >"Um... Please, let me get that." >Twilight's aura quickly slides the door open, without any trouble, or effort, whatsoever. >On the other side of this door, is a corridor, about eight feet wide, ten high, and thirty long. At the end, you can see another door identical to the others you've seen here.
