i dont know were to start
i am probaly horrable at it but here it goes
a short story about a serten doctor
 
>the sun shines in your eyes as you wake up
>a huge yawn escapes your lips when you step out of bed
>your bed room is small but cosy
>there is a bookcase in the corner and a single bed against the oposite wall
>next to the bookcase is a door that leeds into the halway
>there are no pictures but there is a mirror
>you look into it and see that your brown mane are ruffled
>your coat is a light brown colour and you bear the cuty mark of a hour glass
>after looking yourself over a few times you decide to to take a quick shower
>you walk trough the door into the halway
 
 
>the hallway is not big and there are 3 doors and a staircase (down ofcourse)
>the door you came outoff is at one end of the hallway
>in the middle is the door to the bathroom/shower
>and right across from it is the stairway down
>the door on the other end of the hallway is the room of a pony you took under your wing
>a grey pegasus with yellow mane and a crossed eye
>you found her outside town living under a pile of leaves
>you did not have the guts to ask her what happened to her parrents
>you hope that she will tell it herself one time
>after all she just moved in a week ago
>you are getting distracted
>back to the plan ahead
 
>you step into the bathroom
>its a decent sized toom
>there is a sink with a mirror
>a decent amount of touletries are spread around the sink
>next so the mirror and sink is a cabinet that holds the towels
>the wall on the other side holds the toilet
>and next to it is a bathtub that holds the shower
>you turn the water on and after is the temperature you want you step inside
>that watter feels nice on your old back
>you might not look like it but your almost as old as celestia is
>its your secret and nobody must and may know about it
>after wassing your mane and rinsing a few times you step outof the shower
>after drieing and combing your mane you look in the mirror and decide you look good
>exept for one thing
>you trot back to your room
>and after opening the drawer under your bed you decide that today is a good day for a red tie
>not that there is much else in the drawer
>a scarf that has autum colours, a green tie, a fes (becaus fesses are cool), a suit and a pair of 3d glasses
 
>time to make breakfast
>when you walk trough the halway you see that the door to derpy's room is open (the pony under your wing is called derpy)
>well it was time to wakeup so you did not think about it
>as you walk downstairs you smell something burned
>there goes the orage juice again you sight
>the bottem floor of the house has a standard layout
>living room on the right kitchen on the left
>and a door to your lab in the back (story will not go there)
>the hallway also contains the frontdoor
>there is not much to see in the halway
>a old clock and a coatrack that holds one postbag
 
>as you walk into the kitchen
>a normal sized kitchen window on the left
>a table with a few chairs stands below it
>and on the backwall the counter a frige and a stove (witch is currently smoking)
>your worst fears become true
>derpy tried to make breakfast
>the whole kitchen is covered in a layer of batter
>and derpy is flying around triening to clean it (probaly in the hope that you wont be mad)
>well flying its more controlled crashing (you find it kind of funny)
>in the short time you lived with her you came to 2 conclusions
>1. she loved muffins
>2. she cant cook (searusly she can burn a glass of water)
>you look at her with a little smile
>she does not smile back as she tries to explain what happened
>"i just dont know what went wrong"
>"all i wanted was some muffins"
>you tell her "dont look sad we can just clean it together"
 
>"firsth thing firsth lets turn the oven off and open a window"
>you walk to the window and crack it open
>derpy who now has landed is still looking sad you wonder if it is about the muffins
>you wanlk towords her and place a hoove around her shoulder
>"derpy dont be sad, it will be okey at lunch we will get you a muffin but please dont be sad"
>"i hate to see you this way"
>derpy looks at you but sais nothing
>she just shakes her head
>seeing that she cheered up a bit you smile again
>you glance at the still smoking oven and decide that it is time to turn it off
>it took you and derpy a half hour to clean the kitchen
>derpy cried as you trew away the burned muffins
>you had to tell her multiple times that burned muffins arent tasty and kind of unhealthy
>finaly time for some breakfast
>2 boals of oats should do
 
>you place the bowls on the table
>derpy sits next to her bowl and starts munching down on the oats
>as always she did not want to wait
>it would be nice if she waited once in a while
>you sit down and start eating your oats
>after a moment of silence (exept for the noms) derpy starts talking
>"mr whooves why are you so nice to me, all i do is mess things up and break things"
>"i feel like that i am a bad pony and that i cant do anything right"
>dumstruck by what she said you stop eating
>you look at her and say "derpy everypony needs a chanse for a normal live"
>"you might be a bit clumsy but it doesnt mean that you are bad"
>"when i saw you on the edge of town the only thing i saw was a pony who needed a house and a family"
>derpy looks at you (well she tries but one eye looks at the celing) and tries to say somthing
>no words come out only a small smile
>you wanted to stand up and give her a hug
>but bevore you can stand up she already has you embraced in a hug
 
>you look at the clock still embraced in the hug
>and see that it is time to go to work
>you tell derpy to place the bowls in the sink
>and to get ready
>she takes her bag and hat (you wonder were the hat came from becaus it wassent on the coatrack)
>you tell her "good luck with the mail today, dont forget to come to sugercube corner at noon"
>as she flies out of the door she yells okey
>bevore you walk out you decide to take a peak in the lab to see if she has returned
>you walk to the lab and peek trough the door
>the lab is filled with a  bunch of machines and devices
>but not the thing you wanted to see
>it has been 2 years ago that you were droped here by a blue box
>and the box still has not come back to get you
>slightly disapointed you walk back to the hallway closing the door behind you
>well time to do my job you think
>you walk out of the front door and you turn toward the townhall
>your job isnt hard but it has to be done (its turning hour glasses and winding the clock tower)
 
>as you walk into the townhall you are greated by major mare
>"hello mr hooves how are you today?"
>"and how is your adoptee"
>you reply "with me all is wel but derpy still is getting used to lving with other pony's"
>"any eventes planned today"
>the major replies "no sorry today is a easy day i assume you will spend your time at the clock tower?"
>you just nod and say "i will get my tools and then i will be off"
>afther ths fast talk you walk towards your office (not to get tools you keep those at the clock tower)
>you needed to get the todo list
>your office is in the back of the townhall
>it has a desk that stands in the middle of the room (you never use it) with a chair behind it
>there is a file cabinet on the right side of the door
>you open the cabinet and look trough the maintenens list of the clock
>not that long a bit of greese and a wind of the spring
>should be done bevore noon
 
>when you enter the clocktower  you sight "here we go again"
>you climb up the stair up into the internals of the clock
>the internals of the clocktower arent that big and most of the space is been taken by i clock mechanic that sits in the middle of the room
>next to it was a giant wheel that wound the spring (you feel like a hamster everyime you have to wind it)
>next to stairway was a small cabinet that holds some grease and your tools
>you pickup a grease pot and started to walk to the gears
>everything that looked dry got brushed with a light coat of grease
>after looking back an inspeckting the work you did you decide it is time to wind the spring
>you put the grease back were you found it and you step into the wheel
>after a 10 minute run you feel that the spring has been wound enough
>you step out of the wheel and walk to the stairs
>while you walk away you look at the clock
>mmmm 11.50
>you have to hurry to be on time to meet derpy
 
>When you walk into suger cube corner you see Pinkie behind the counter
>Apperently MR and MS Cake arent here
>You look at the table that stands to the left on the counter
>And your happy to see Derpy isnt here yet
>You walk up to Pinkie and ask for 2 blueberry muffins
>"That will be 2 bits please" Pinkie sais
>You pay the 2 bits (there is a secret pocket in the tie) and sit down at the table in wait of Derpy
>It only has been 5 minuter bevor Derpy walks in
>"Ah derpy there you are i already got muffins for us"
>She sits down at the table next to you
>You reach her the muffin that you prommised her that morning
>It is gone bevore it touches the table infront of her
>Even pinkie wonders how she does that
 
>You just smile as you take a bite of your muffin
>Derpy looks at you and she just smiles
>You ask her if she wants another muffin
>Ofcourse she wants one so you slid her a bit
>When she walks of you sink in thought
>You think about the past and all things you have lost the enemies you made
>But you also think about the good times
>You never hear Derpy return
>She sees your absend stare and asks "What is wrong"
>You shake your head and just reply "Stuck in the past my dear nothing to worry about"
>Derpy shrugs and eats her muffin (somhow she manages to eat it slowly)
>You also continiu to eat your muffin
>After a short while Derpy looks at you and sais "I am glad you found me"
>Bevore you can reply she continius
>"I was just a filly when my dad passed away"
>"I still remember him becaus he was always nice to me, even when i did not decerve it"
>"My mother tried to take care of me but she just could not earn enough for us both"
>"So one day she took me to a nice home filled with other fillys"
>"And she told me to wait for her and that she would be back in a few days"
>You already have a suspicion were this is goeing but you did not dare to interupt her
>"The days became weeks and the weeks months"
>"And then i realized she would not come to get me"
>"So i ran away and after a while i found this town and i never left"
>You look at her but her face is blank as if it did not matter
>You tell her in a soft voice "Derpy have you ever tried looking for your mother?"
>She hangs her head "I have tried but i did not know were to start"
>"But it does not matter anymore you found me and gave me a place"
>"I got a new chance and i am happy"
 
>You let all that was said sink into your mind
>But bevore you can reply on it all
>Derpy sais "Sorry but i have to finish my rounds"
>"We can talk about this later if you want"
>You nod and derpy flies out of suger cube corner while waving to you
>Still sitting there dumbstuck from what you just heard
>After what seems like an hour (it was 10 minutes in reality) you also leave
>You now have a mission you need to find Derpy's mother
>You run to the one place were you know you can get awnsers Twilights castle
>After a quick knock on the door you find yourself face to face with a purple dragon Spike as he was called
>"Spike can you ask Twilight if she has time for me"
>The dragon waves you in and walks of into the depts of the castle
>The Foyer of the castle is a large room with a few benches and a red rug
>There are images of trees on the wall and the room is bigger on the inside then the castle looks on the outside
>This makes you grim  becaus you also loved to hear people say that
>You hear a door opening and a purple alicorn walks up to you
>You bow you head for the prinsess
>She tells you to not do that and asks what the problem is
>You explain the whole story to her as you end your storry
>"I see myself more as a friend then a caretaker and it hurts me that she never had closure"
>Twilight looks at you and tells i cant promise anything but i will try to find out what i can
>She also sais that it could take a while
>You thank her and walk out of the door
>When you walk out of the door it is still light outside
 
>You walk to the market
>And you get stuff for dinner
>A nice salade with peases of apple will do
>It is getting late the sun is already goeing down
>You start the walk home but on the way Spike call you
>You walk towards him wondering why he is calling you
>Spike tells you that Twilight allready has an awnser and that she realy needs to see you
>You follow Spike to the castle
>You enter the castle and are supprised Twilight is waiting for you
>"I have bad news" she tells you
>"I contacted the royal guard and I have a few things to tell"
>You wonder how it was possible for her to get a awnser in the few hours that you left her
>She continius to tell you what she found out, and then she asks if you needed help telling the news
>You shake your head and you explain that it would be better that you tell it her
 
>With a heavy head you leave and walk home
>As you walk home you realize that the sun is starting to set
>The news hat taken a lot longer then you thought
>Looking at your house you see that the lights are on
>You hope that Derpy had a good day
>You yell i am home once you enter your home
>You see derpy in the living room with a book
>She waves at you when you looked at her
>"I am gonna start dinner if you dont mind"
>You walk towards the kitchen
>Your happy you bought stuff for a salade
>You take a bowl and choppingboard from the cupboard
>You pick a knife from the drawer
>You cut the lettece and wash it after this you place it in the bowl
>Next you peel the apples and cut them into chunks
>You sprinkle a bit of olive oil over the salade followed by a hoove of croûtons
>You place the bowl and 2 plates on the table
>You call Derpy and you sit down
>She walks in and sits next to you at the table
>You split the salade between your plates
 
>You both eat dinner
>Derpy seems te enjoy her meal
>You cant enjoy yours
>It feels like your stomage is filled with rocks
>It remains silent for to long
>Derpy is the one who breaks the silence
>"Doc whats wrong, you never are this silent"
>You look at her worried "Derpy we need to talk"
>Derpy looks up from her plate
>Slightly slanting her head wondering what you meant
>As you look into her eye (the other eye looks at the celing)
 
>You start talking "Derpy i went by Twilight today becaus i wanted to know about your past"
>"It only took a few hours to get a awnser what happened"
>"Celestia knew what happend to your mother"
>"But What I Found out is not what i wanted to hear"
>"The day your mother brought you to the orphanage was with a reason"
>"She had an audition with Celestia about a job in Fillydelphia, I never found out what the job was"
>"The audition went wel but she collapsed on the way out"
>"She never made the hospital, even Celestia could not help her"
>"The caus of dead was later determent to be a brain hemorrhages"
>"A few days later she was burried, Celestia organized everything herself"
>"They never knew she had a kid, so the orphanage was never warned"
>Derpy started crieing by the new you just told
>You gave her a hug to confort her but you knew it would not help much
>As you sat there in embraced in a hug, you continiut
>"Celectia also asked if you were able to pay here a visit"
>"She realy wants to appologize to you, and also show you were your mothers final resting place it"
>Derpy breaks the hug and looks at you with teared eyes she tells you this
>"I would like that, my whole live I wondered what happened to my mom"
>"This might be a good way to give me closure"
>You just nod and you tell her "Derpy i will ask Twilight to get you an appointment"
>You both decide to make it early night and leave the plates as a problem for tomorrow
 
>Two Weeks after your talk with Derpy
>You went to see Celestia
>Celestia spoke with kind words
>"Dear Derpy, I am so sorry"
>"If I only knew Golden Hearth had a daughter"
>"I would have done things diverently"
>"I would have made sure they found you a good home"
>"And you whould have gotten the chance to say goodbye"
>Derpy started crying again
>She just lookd at Celestia and said "Dear Celestia, thank you so much"
>"It means so much for me to hear she was treated so wel in the end"
>"I am sad i could not have been there, but you could not have know"
>Bevore she could say another thing Celestia embraced her in a hug
>Celestia turned towards you "Derpy is lucky that you took her in"
>"Nopony is supposed to be allone, and it seems that you have been the family see needed"
>after a short while Derpy broke the hug
>Her eyes still wet from the tears
>Celestia finaly spoke "Derpy if you follow me I will bring you to your mother"
>You followd them into the garden, walking toward a lonely tree on the edge
>Under the tree is a small tumbstone
>"Here lies Golden Hearth"
>"She died way to young"
>And below that a date
>Derpy walked towards it
>You and Celestia stood back to give some time
>"Why was she so importent to you that she got a place in the garden"
>You ask Celestia
>She look at you "It is Becaus I could not save her, and I didnt want her to be forgotten"
>You nod and thank her
>You turn back to Derpy
>One hoove on the tombestone, crying
>You hear her talk "Mom i miss you so much, I wish I could hug you one last time"
>"Tell you how much I Loved you"
>"But I cant turn back time, am I glad i got here in the end"
>"Mom I will come back to visit you again"
>She starts to walk toward you and Celestia
>She embraces you in a hug and tells
>"Thank you for helping me find the truth"
