"Yeah Ditzy?" >The grey mare smiled at you. >"I got something for you." >She pulls out a box of papers. >Dread hits you like a shovel. >It was going so well until now >"Boss said she wants these filled out by tomorrow." >FUCK. "Alrighty then, that's for bringing them over." >You fake a grin. >Seeing hers however, you start to question whether it was actually fake. >"No problem, I know how hard it must be to be so different. It gets better trust me." >She really did. >You'd seen it. >Ditzy was one of the few you actually considered your friends. >In fact. >If the feeling in your gut was anything to go off of. >It was more than just a friendship. >She continues to smile as she starts to leave. >Your body screaming at you. "Wait Ditzy!" >She turns back concerned. "Do you maybe catch lunch together, or something?" >You got tingly when she smiled. >"Yes please." >She then bounces off happily. >Into a wall. >You chuckle as she blushes and scurries away. >You eye the box of papers on your desk. >You mutter under your breath as you start stamping.   >You are now Fluttershy. >It took a while, but you're sure you have it now. >You're carrying a basket of yummies for Anon. >You'd been to scared to approach him. >When he arrived in town, you took to him like you usually did with lost confused animals. >Then you found out he could talk. >You thought he would just turn out like every other stallion. >They were scary, and you no particular interest in that. >But he didn't. >Even if he was just like everyone else, you still saw him like a lost puppy. >So from afar, you watched him. >He was strong, kind, quiet... Fatherly. >For some reason you couldn't get him out of your mind. >Every Time you saw him, it made you feel so warm. >Later you would know that it was love. >It had to be. >Since then, you've been staying up late thinking of him and ways to make him your. >You've barely spoken to anyone else as well. >You explained the situation to your friends and they seem to understand. >You kept somethings to yourself of course. >Now you are sure you have it. >You read in a book that the quickest way to a man's heart is his stomach. >You had to read a little longer to truly understand it. >Back to the present. >You know where Anon works, you've watched him for so long, you know his routine probably better than he does. >In exactly 30 seconds he'll come out and go to sugarcube for a chocolate donut. >Aaaand there he is. >Just seeing him makes your heart flutter. >You can already picture it. >He'll thank you, you'll try to leave, he'll stop you with his big strong hands and insist to share it with you. >Then you'll both admit your feeling and live happily ever after. >It was foolproof! >You start to walk towards the hunk. >That's odd. >He always walks alone. >The sight of him with someone else burns you inside. >You've never been so. Angry? >You need to stay calm though. >She's probably just a friend. >Yeah that's it. >A friend. >You'll just wait till she leaves. >You wait. >And you wait. >Finally after almost an hour, she gets up. >It's already time for Anon to return to work however. >You'll just have it give to him afterwards. >It was still disappointing. >But you would do ANYTHING for Anon. >You're just about to go when you see it. >Anon reaches over the table. >Puckers his lips. "N-no, please don't-" >And plants a kiss her lips. >You feel that burning feeling return. >They don't notice you glaring pure fire. >She exits and trots along merrily. >Anon comes out soon after and sighs. >You want to cry. >"Hey you alright?" >Oh no. >He looks at you with his wonderful eyes. >You sniffle. "Mmhmm." >"Are you sure? You don't look so good." >His voice is filled with so much, care. >You feel like you can always count on it. "N-no." >"Wanna talk about it?" >You nod slowly. >He takes a seat next to you. >"So what's going on?" "I-I just. I've been waiting so long to tell him about how I feel. Then when I finally do it, I see him with someone else..." >"Oh, that's quite the conundrum." "I don't know what to do." >"Hmm, well, do you really like them?" >You nod. >"I mean actually love them?" >You nod again. >"Then don't give up. I hate to be -that- guy, but sometimes peop- ponies aren't as happy together as they seem and just need a little nudge in the right direction, if you know what I mean." >Did he mean? "S-sabotage?" >"Think of it more like knocking over an already flimsy building." >You manage to smile at him. >"Say, don't I know you from somewhere? Was it Fluttershy?" >He remembers! "Y-yes." >His grin relaxes you. >"Well I have to head back to work. I hope things go better for you and that lucky stallion. Who was it anyways?" >You open your mouth but are interrupted by a feminine voice calling for Anon. >"Shit. I'll see you later Fluttershy!" >He runs away, leaving you to process what he said. "Like knocking down a building..." >You knew it was wrong. >But then you remembered the mare. >The kiss. >You were furious. >She thinks she can just come in and take Anon from you? >After all the time you spent thinking about him. >You knew more about him that she could ever possibly hope to. >He was yours! >You huff. >Besides, he told you himself. >That practically gave you permission. >But how? >You wonder. >You remember that whorse. >You'd seen her go to work with Anon. >That was all the information you needed to get started. >The thought of what Anon said and how you two would be so happy afterwards fills your mind. >You start giggling. >Time to get to work.   >It was the worst work day of your life. >You were forced to do actually work. >Also your boss basically told you you'd be fired next time you were late. >So you're a little confused as to why you feel so good. >Well you did just arrange a date with the gi- mare you care about the most. >Gotta work on the terms here. >You just kissed her goodbye. >The weekend couldn't come soon enough. >Oh and that other mare. >Fluttershy. >Poor thing. >You've been in her. Shoes? >Whatever, you've been in that situation many times before. >You tried your best to help her, but you could only do so much. >You weren't lying either. >You'd seen it all too many times. >In any case, she seemed to perk up a little after your little speech. >It made you feel good knowing you at least tried to brighten someone's day. >If memory serves, you'd met her before. >But where? >Oh yeah, she was the one that greeted you when you arrived. >Such a nice little mare. >You really hope things turn out well for her. >You continue towards your home.   >You are Fluttershy. >It's just past sundown now. >You're in your home waiting patiently. >In front of you sits your current most valuable possession. >It was a photo of Anon. >You went back to watch him and find out where that demon lived. >You couldn't help it. >You took several, but this one was your favorite. >He was staring at something behind you, but he was smiling. >Just his image was enough to... "U-unf~" >Now you felt like you could do anything. >As long as it was for him. >And that skank though she could take him from you. >You growl. >Turns out Anon asked her on a date. >It felt so good to hear him say it. >At the same time it hurt you so very much to hear him say it to anyone other than you. >It really is too bad she'll never get to accompany YOUR Anon. >Oh well... >You giggle at your thoughts. >Then you grab your things and head out. >It took a bit to find the house again, but manage. >You fly up to the window. >There she is. >Sleeping so soundly in her bed. >You knew she could possibly be as good for Anon as you. >She was asleep while you would still be up fantasizing about your future with him. >The window was already open, so no need to force it. >You approached her. >For a single second you were grateful she had made it so easy. >She mumbles a bit causing you hesitate. >Then a moment of clarity hits you. >You were really about to do this. >It was wrong, you couldn't possibly- >Then you remember the kiss. >You had so many dreams about how you and Anon would share one. >That send you over the edge. >You grab the tranquilizer meant for larger animals. >She groans as you inject her. >Being a pegasus, she was light enough to carry. >You hurried back to your cottage. >A laugh escaped you as you less than gently tied her down. >She was starting to wake up. >She mumbles a bit with the gag. "It's okay. It'll be over soon." >She looks at you unsure. "I really didn't want to do this. But I can't just let you take MY Anon from me." >She looks scared now. >Good. "After all, I was here first." >You approach her. "Anything to say?" >You remove her gag. >"I'm sorry. Please." >You smile at her. "Not yet you're not."     >Your alarm clock goes off. >It doesn't seem half as bad as it usually does. >You slip out of bed and get to work. >Shower, shit, shave, not exactly in that order. >You smile the whole time. >Getting dressed slightly better than usual. >You had asked Ditzy on a legit date. >You couldn't wait any longer. >Now done, you head towards the restaurant she pointed out. >You'd agreed on breakfast at this time. >She wasn't there when you arrived. >Nothing major, just a little late. >You didn't expect to be there for so long. >When the waiter asked, you told him you were still waiting. >You got up after another hour. >She just- >You couldn't believe she stood you up. >It wasn't like her. >Something's got to be wrong. >You refused to believe anything else. >The dread still kicked in though. >It only quickened your pace. >You were basically steaming when you saw her home. >You make out the golden helmets of guards. >Shit. >You also hear the distant sobs of a youngster. >It was instantly recognized as Ditzy's little sister. >"She's missing." >That's what's they told you. >It was just too surreal to comprehend. >You hadn't even begun to weep. >Your body couldn't accept it to be true yet. >Now you just sit outside, slowly stroking the purple filly's hair. >She woke up and went to said guards after finding her sister gone for way too long. >"Mister Anon?" >There's one now. "Yes?" >"Do you have a moment?" >You nod and Dinky gets out of your lap. >"We've got nothing." "What do you mean?" >"It's completely clear Anonymous. So either she skipped town or someone's hiding something." >He looks at you expectantly. "What? You think I did it?" >"And if I do?" >No fucking way. "I would never fu- look at this!" >You tug on your shirt. "I had a date with her today." >"All the more reason." >Unbelievable. >You're at a loss of words. >He continues to stare daggers into your soul. >"Um, excuse me." >Both of you turn to the voice. >It's the mare from before. >"But Anon would never do anything like that. I know him." >You aren't convinced. >And that scares you. >"Hmm. Well if you think so Fluttershy." >He nods and leaves you standing like an idiot. >Fluttershy snaps you back. "Thanks for that." >"Oh it was nothing." "But it was. What's his problem anyway?" >"He's just doing his job A-anon." "I guess so." >You take notice of the basket on her back. "What's that for?" >She blushes a bit. >"Oh i-it's f-f-for you." >Huh. >She take it with her mouth and offers it to you. >You take it crack it open. >Oh good lord this can't be real!   >Inside the basket was your favorite food. >It's all there. >Every last detail. >It definitely improved your mood. >"D-do you like it?" >You managed to smile. "Like? This is fantastic, but why?" >"I j-just wanted to make something special for a nice, big, *handsome* m-man like you~" >She's starting to hover very close to your face. >That makes you uncomfortable, but she drops down after a little. >Adorable. "You really didn't need to do this." >"B-but I wanted to!" >She mumbles something, but you don't notice. >Now you feel that much better. >But your mind quickly turns back to your date. >"Is something bothering you sweetie" >Her pet name doesn't reach you. "Yeah." >"Do you want to talk about it?" >You look at her and manage to smile at her repeating your words back to you from the day before. >You nod. >You spent the next few minutes explaining the situation to her. >"Oh that's just horrible." >You sigh and bury your face in your hands. "I-I just. I've never felt like this. I don't know what to do." >You pick your head up and laugh. "Look at this, -I'm- talking to -you- about my problems." >You don't resist as she hugs your neck. >"Well whatever happens, just know I'm here for you." >You turn and grin at her. >Then you return the hug. "Thank you." >The sniffling returns to your attention. >You turn but Fluttershy forces you back. >"She can wait. Let's just enjoy this right now." >You were about to argue until you saw her face. >Pleading, sincere and unwavering. >Something else was behind that stare, but you couldn't figure it out. >You just didn't want to go against it. >"Please?" >You nodded reluctantly and made a note to check on Dink later.   >Fluttershy certainly wasn't one to talk. >Literally. >She just say there staring at you the entire time. >Smiling with her eyes half open. >You're not sure what to make of it. >You tried looking behind you, but there was nothing. "So... What happened after yesterday? Did it work out for you?" >"Mhm." "Well that's good." >"Yeah." >This goes on for a while, you lost track of time. >Just her staring, and you occasionally failing at small talk. >You did manage to convince her to finally end it. >It wasn't all bad, but way more awkward than you expected. >It did take your mind off of Ditzy. >"Just remember Anon, if you EVER need anyone for anything, I'll always be here. Only for you~" >She leans in really close to your face again. "Thanks..." >She giggles and turns around. >Funny. It almost looks like she's wobbling a little. >It's making her hips sway as she walks. >Ugh.. >No time for that. >Gotta talk to Dinky.   >"Anon!" >The foal jumps and hugs you. >"I-It's horrible, t-t-t-they said since sis's gone I'll have to go st-stay with them!" >Now it seems like every time you start feeling better, something else gets dropped on you. "What about your parents?" >Bad idea. >She starts crying even harder. "Sorry, sorry. I didn't know just-" >You hold her and let her sob. >"I-I don't want t-to leave town, my friends." >Fuck. >Gotta think of something. "I know." >You're still thinking by the time she relaxes back into sniffles. >Well, there's only one solution that you could come up with. "You want to come stay with me?" >She nods into your shirt. >... >It took a while, but managed to convince the guards to let you take her. >Assholes. >Dinky refused to leave you for more than a few moments at a time. >Currently, your cradling her in your arms as she sleeps, her bag on your shoulder. >The worst part is you don't have any clue how to watch children. >But if Ditzy can manage, you can too. >Ditzy... >"A-Anon?" >How long has she been awake? "Yeah?" >"I hope sis is okay." >You sigh. "Me too."   >It's been 2 weeks now since Ditzy was last seen. >You know this because that's all anyone talks about anymore. >You still haven't and probably never will get over it. >Dink took it the hardest. >She refuses to talk to anyone besides you. >You have to coax her into doing even the simplest things. >It never gets any less depressing, but at least she was easy to manage. >She's been staying with you since then. >The guards had closed up her former home and would've sent her to some orphanage in Canterlot if you hadn't. >You definitely had to. >You owed them that much. >And her parents? >You're not 100% but you heard they'd met their end some way or another. >Ditzy was the only one she had left. >Still, you tried your best to comfort her. >Reminding her to keep hoping. >She remained the same for the first week, but lately, she's starting to cry less. >You think that's a good sign. >It's horrible trying to watch a child by yourself. >Thankfully you have someone for that. >You hear a knock. >You swear that mare can read your mind. >You answer it, and it's Fluttershy. >As usual. >"Good morning Anon~" >She did indeed keep her promise. >She's been coming over basically daily since that day and asking if you're okay. >You always tell her yes, despite feeling empty inside. >She stays anyways. >You didn't mind either, it was nice having someone to talk to. >She even gave you some advice. >Usual for a single moment and just to return to her desired topic. >Whatever, she's expecting a response right now. "Morning shy." >She lets herself in and you close the door. >The cold air around your ankles reminds you that you still need to dress. "Sorry, I'm still getting ready." >"Oh that's perfectly fine Anon. *mumble* (you're perfect Anon)." "What was that?" >"Nothing!" >You stare at her and think. >Then you shrug. >Probably was nothing. "So. What brings you?"   >"I just wanted to if you needed anything." >Just the usual. "I don't actually, but thank you anyways." >"Oh, okay then..." >She looks disappointed, as she always does when you have nothing for her. >Just then the morning hunger sets in and you return to your kitchen. >You figure you'd just throw together something quick since Dinky would be up soon. >It didn't even bother you to put on some pants first. >But you didn't even get to decide. >A yellow hoof stops you. >"Please, allow me." "No, I got this." >"Please?" >She continues to hold her stance. >Well you do need to get some clothes. "Alright." >She smiles and takes your place at the stove. >You go get proper. >Dinky still isn't down when you get back, but holy. >Fluttershy managed to prepare an entire breakfast in the time it took you to put on some pants. >She's even wearing a little apron. >All this just warms you inside. >"I hope it isn't to much, I just figured-" "It's wonderful as usual Fluttershy." >She grins. >You invite Fluttershy to enjoy the fruit of her labor and you both start to make small dents in the meal. >Dinky finally comes down after another while. >She just picks at the food on her plate. >You try joking around to get her to eat but it fails. >You look at Fluttershy who continues to sip her tea. >Then you motion to Dinky. >She sighs seemingly annoyed and begins. >Somehow she managed to convince her, as Dink is now taking bites instead of nibbles. >Fluttershy returns to enjoying her leafy drink. >You take a moment to admire the scene before you. >It's just like those 50's propaganda families. >You're the father here, just need the news paper. >You won't go that far though, you'll just be reminded of her. >Dinky left for school a little after you finished. >Now it's just you and Fluttershy talking about, well... >"What was I like where you came from Anon?" "Cool I guess, way different than here, still pretty similar though." >"Did you um, have anyone special?" >That comes out or nowhere. >Meh, it wasn't that big a deal. "Not really. I did meet a few people, but I never really felt anything for someone till I met Dit-zy.." >You stutter as you remember. >You feel the pressure building up in your throat. >"Anon, please." >You look and find Fluttershy stand close to you. >"I know how much she meant to you, but it's already been so long. I'm sorry, you just need to accept that she's gone." >You're taken back. >Was she really doing this? "N-no, Jesus, I-i." >"Anon. Look at me." >You do. >"It's time to move on." >You're now openly crying into Fluttershy's shoulder. >Maybe she was right. >You didn't want it to be true. >But you remember back from Earth. >If they aren't found in the first few days, their chances of being found plummet drastically. >You stop crying and huff. "You're right." >"I know I am. Don't worry, take all the time you want. I'm here." >You don't need anymore. >You get off her and smile confidently. "Thank you Fluttershy for everything." >She blushes. >"Anything for you Anon." "Seriously, you've done so much for me. If there's anyway I could possibly return the favor, just say the word." >"W-well. I-if you have the time. I'd like it if y-you'd come with me on a picnic this week..." >It's never that easy. >You frown. "I'd love to, but I kinda got my hands full with Dink now. And I don't think I know anyone willing to do me a favor besides you. Sorry." >Her face contorts several time, before landing on severely disappointed. >It actually worries you. >"It's alright, I-i understand." >You fumble in your pockets and a thought occurs to you. "Fuck, I forgot to give Dinky her lunch money!" >You check the clock. >You're also about to be late for work. >With little more than a small apology, you leave Fluttershy in your home as you speed off after her.   >Anon leaves you in a hurry. >You stare at him as he runs down the road. >You're guts are starting to feel twisted. >So close. >After all your hard work, you were just about make him yours. >He said he'd love to. >If only it wasn't for that brat. >She was the tramp's sister, but you didn't really mind her despite her staying with Anon. >That was because she hadn't caused you any delays. >Until now. >She means a lot to Anon, you can't tell. >Then again, so did the other one... >You didn't want to hurt the child, but if this was for Anon. >It has to be done. >You'll have to start preparing. >One thing can be said. >You did enjoy watching Anon take care of her. >He'll be a wonderful father once you have foals. >You nearly swoon. >It'll be okay when it's all done. >Besides, if Anon gave you permission the first time, it'll still count. >He won't find out anyways. >Since he's gone, you have the opportunity to make it easier this time. >You snoop through his house. >Nothing really you can do to prepare, so you just take a spare key. >He won't notice. >Along the way, you passed his room. >You tried in vain to resist entering. >It was everything you imaged. >The best part. >It smelled like him. >You couldn't spot yourself from sniffing his clothes. >It was so amazing. >That's how you ended up with the little souvenir tucked neatly under your wing. >It was constantly pressed against his- >Oh. >You're definitely going to be busy for the next few hours.   >Work was shit, as always. >Since Ditzy's "departure" there's been more work. >The once bubbly office now just sits quiet save for the scribbling and occasional cough. >Today was especially dull. >You really need something to pick you up. >You spot Sugercube and the exact spot Ditzy sat on your only date. >It doesn't hurt anymore. >In fact, you feel better. >You can even smile. >Might as well. >You bought a cake to split with Dink. >At home, nothing much happens. >Dinky gets there before you everyday and usually just stays in a separate room or quietly reads to herself. >You tried starting conversations with her. >But it always ends in failure. >Normally, you would just goof off with the newly introduced radios here, but today you got sent home with work to do. >Gotta pay the bills. >You're done in what seems like a few minutes. >You check the clock to find it's been several hours. >Fucking time. >Dinky's at the table when you start dinner. >She has a pencil, so you assume it's the childhood devil. >Homework. >The silence unnerves you. "So. How what school today?" >"okay..." "That's good! Really good." >Actually. The awkwardness is worse. >You set whatever it is you were preparing to cool. >Dinky grunts a few times before the distinct sound of erasing is heard. "Need any help?" >She lets the pencil click on the table and nods. >It was basic to you. >But then again you're an adult man doing 4th grade work. >Regardless, after explaining it a few times, she seems to understand now, even laughing at a few of her mistakes. >And yours. >Mostly yours. >The two of you now sit across from each other eating your horrible soup. >She doesn't mind it seems. >After, you split the cake. >Too sweet for you, but she loved it. >She started to doze off at the table, so you're now carrying her to bed.   >You set her on the bed. >For a moment, you admire the peace of it all. >She lays smiling. >Apparently its contagious. >You brush the hair out of her face and tip toe away. >"Anon?" >Nevermind. "Yeah?" >"Can I tell you something?" >You return to her side. "Anything." >You sit on the other half of the small mattress. >"W-when I was with sis. I heard her talk about you." "I would hope so." >"Sh-she really liked you. A lot." >You exhale a breath you didn't even know you were holding it. "I know." >Now you sit in quiet understand. >"Anon?" "Hmm?" >"If you two had got married, would that make you my brother?" >You chuckle. "Yeah. It would." >"Oh." >Another pause. >"I wish you would have." >"I've never had a brother." >Damn. "Well I don't see why I can't we start now." >She looks surprised. >"Do you mean?-" >She figures it out on her own. >You still nod. >She then surprises you with a hug >"Thanks. Brother." >You both share a laugh. >It's a quiet, content moment following this. >You reluctantly end it. >It was late and you both needed rest. >It was painful, but you'd have plenty of time to spend with your newly accepted sibling. >You're at the door when she catches you. >"Bro?" "What's up?" >"I love you." >Hnng. "I love you too." "Sister." >It feels so good to say that. >She closes her eyes and falls asleep. >You don't waste that much time getting into bed either. >Now you're laying awake. >Nothing's wrong. >In fact, everything's exactly how you want it. >You don't want to waste a single moment on something as trivial as rest. >But it takes you anyways.   >You've been watching Anon sleep for some time now. >How long exactly, you don't know. >You've been so hypnotized by his moments that you've stopped caring about anything else. >No. >You break your trance. >You came here for a reason. >Slowly, you hover over to the door. >You test the nob. >Locked. "Oh anon~" >You reveal the key and carefully open it, preventing any noises it might make. >You fly to Anon's guest room and open it's door just as quietly. >On the bed rests the little problem. >It didn't take long to find a method. >You laugh to yourself. >It was SOO easy. >You didn't even need to bring anything. >Just a little talk. >And while that was still a but challenging for you, you knew you could do it. >For him. >You stand over the filly. >Gently, you rock her. >It does nothing. >What was her name? "Umm, Dinky. Please wake up." >"Huh?" >She rubs her eyes. >"Miss Fluttershy? What's happening? Why are you here?" >You shush her. "We need to be quiet. We don't want to wake Anon." >She looks unsure, but nods anyway. >Now to get to it. "You want to find your sister, r-right?" >She's really listening now. >"Yes, do you know something?" "Maybe, but I need you to come with me." >She scoots back. >"What? Right now? Why?" >Again with the questions. >Was a late night visit -that- unusual? "Yes, I need you to c-come confirm it." >"What about Anon? Why can't he?" >Ugh. "Anon needs his rest. Now quickly, time is precious." >She finally nods and follows you. >You sneak back through town. >"Miss Shy?" >Oh, it's talking. "Y-yes little one?" >"How come you didn't go to the guards?" "Oh they won't be up to it at this hour, besides you know more about your sister than them." >The first part was a lie. >You were scared she would notice. >But thankfully she didn't. >You lead her to your home. >You open your door. >"It's in there?" >You nod. >She looks reluctant now. >She goes in though. >"Miss Fluttershy, I can't see anything. Are you sure?" >You don't respond. >You were safe now, you didn't need to act. >Instead you lock your door and laugh. >It was so easy.   >"Up here Anon." >The familiar voice calls to you. >It doesn't really make sense, since the only thing above you is a heap of clouds. >A grey face pops out from one. >"C'mon, I'm waiting!" >The crossed eyes stare into your own. >You don't speak, but you feel lost. >How could you possibly get to her? >"It's easy, just fly." >It should've confused you further, but somehow, someway, you understood. >You feel a tingle on your back, a breeze around your body, and you start closing the distance. >Her cheeks start glowing red. >Your arms are around her the first chance you get. >She gives you an obnoxiously loud kiss. >"I love you Anon." >You return the affection and lay next her on the clouds. >Not even a minute passed before you start falling through the clouds. >She screams for you, but remains still. >You watch as the ground becomes clearer with each passing second. >Then you hit the ground. >That instant, you jolt up in bed. >You're sweating like crazy. >But in a strange way, you're satisfied. >It's time to get up, so no point in trying to go back to sleep. >You wouldn't be able to anyways. >Routine goes the same. >You nearly scream when you realize it was Saturday. >The memory of last night's events is still fresh on your mind. >You're genuinely excited to spend the day with your sister. >Sister. >It still felt great just thinking about it. >You start on breakfast. >You're making something special today. >But what? >You settle on blueberry waffles. >You knew she enjoyed them. >*knock knock* >In all this, you'd forgotten about Fluttershy. >Good thing, since you've already started on way more than you and Dink could ever hope to finish alone. >You stir the batter and open the door at the same time. >"Hello Anon, lovely day isn't it?" >Now you are convinced she can read your mind. "Hello to you too. And it really is." >She comes in after you move. >She tries taking the batter from you, but you refuse. >"Anon, please. Just let me mmff." "Not today missy. Dinky'll be down in a few and I'm making something special." >"Oh, Dinky. Yes of course." >She smirks and halts her attempts. >You're too focused on cooking to notice. >Fluttershy remains completely silent for the remainder of the preparation. >You eye your work. >Not gonna win any awards, but you can feel proud knowing you made them. >When you look Dinky still isn't there. >Usually she'd be up by this time on any day. >You excuse yourself. "Di- Sis, you up yet?" >No response. >Probably still asleep. >Maybe you can surprise her... >With an enormous grin, you start opening the door. >You look inside. >She's not in bed, disappointingly. >No biggie. >Check the bathroom. >Nothing. >You call out again. >"Is something wrong Anon?" "No just. Ugh." >Check her room again. >Under her bed, in the closet. >Starting to get worried. >Maybe she ended up in your room somehow. >Empty. >Okay. This has gone far enough. "C'mon Dinky, we can play later." >"Anon there's nobody else here." >You ignore her and keep searching. >Upstairs is empty. >Downstairs is barren as well. >Fuck fuck fuck. >Front yard, back yard, just the same. >In desperation, you start frantically ripping through the house. >The emptiness is now painful. >You collapse on floor. >You're in a ball trying stop yourself from screaming. "This can't be real." >You bang on your head. "Not again. Please." >"I'm here Anon. I'm s-sorry." >You feel a hoof on your back. >It sparks memories of the state you were in before. >How miserable you were just after Ditzy. >How you needed Fluttershy's encouragement just to get out of bed. >You can't let that happen again. >You bolt up and get out the door. >You ask as many people on the way. >All answer the same. >"No." >When you're sure you passed the same building at least 3 times, you fall down again. >You lay in the street staring into the blue sky. >Thinking about absolutely nothing. >The kind of nothing that comes after failure. >"A-anon?" >You look at Fluttershy. >She gets down and settles under your arm. >"Umm, we should go." >There were pones starting to gather around you. >You don't care. >Out of the crowd come some guards. >They pick you up and start leading you somewhere. >You don't resist. >It's a building with a golden sun on the front. >You pick yourself up along the way. >They toss you in a room with a desk. >One of them puts something around your hands while the other gets in front you. >You're sat in a chair. >"Mr. Anonymous, do you have any idea why we brought you here?" >You can't find the strength to look up. >He sighs deeply. >"You went around the town screaming like a madman. Asking for a filly?" >You groan. >"While you didn't break any laws outright. We can't have you going and causing a scene like that. Understand?" "Yes." >"Alright. We're done here." >The pressure around your hands is released. >But something still ate at you inside. "She's gone." >"Excuse me?" "She. She's gone, I lost her. I vowed to take care of her. And I lost her." >"Oh he's going off again." >The guard behind you speaks. >"Quiet, I want to hear this. Who's missing Anonymous?" "My si- Dinky. I just..." >Your hands go to your face. "I just woke up, and she was gone. I looked and looked, but nothing." >"Dinky? Ditzy Doo's sister?" >You nod. >"Oh, now I remember. She was staying with you wasn't she? So she's missing." >"Why didn't you come to us?" >The second guard asks you. "I panicked. I figured maybe she's just gone off by herself or-" >You choked. >"I understand. We'll look into it. In the mean time, you should head home Anonymous." >You stand and exit. >As you do, you hear them arguing behind you. >"Are you seriously just going to let him out like that? Remember Ditzy?" >"Yes, and that's irrelevant, besides just look at him. It's obvious he was upset about this." >You stop hearing them once he begins talking about you cooking at eating pones. >You couldn't be angry at that point. >You can't feel anything actually. >Not even a will to move. >As so as you're clear of that place, you sit down against something. >You just don't care. >The pressure in your eyes releases tears. >You silently cry. >No sobs, or noises at all besides normal breaths. >Ponies continued to stare, but what were they gonna do? >"Umm..." >You turn your head. >It's just Fluttershy. >"Oh my, Anon w-what happened?! I saw them take you away..." >Your only response is a grunt. >"Oh. Okay then." >She sits next to you. >"So, uh. It's beautiful today." >You slip from the building and hit the side of your head on the ground. >Sadly it's not enough to kill you, or even harm you that much. >You just want to be dead. >"*gasp* Are you alright Anon?" >No. >She tries picking you back up. >You struggle. "Just leave me." >She's visually hurt by this. >"A-anon, n-no I don't like you being this way. Please get up." >She continues to fight with you until you do eventually stand. >"There, now let's get you cleaned up." >Unbeknownst to you, rolling around the dirt filthied your clothes. >She took your hand and started to lead you. >Your body followed. >At your house, she stops when she sees the mess you left. >"Oh no." >She closes the door, attempting to block it from your view. >It didn't matter anyway. >"I'll come back and clean up don't you worry." >She too a similar path to town and took a detour onto a road that lead near the forest. >It was obviously her home. >A few minutes passed before you arrived. >She opened the door and dragged you inside. >There was a small bathroom in the back. >She started the shower and left you there. >Her face was red. >"J-just w-wash- I-I'll be right back!" >She slammed the door. >You examine the room. >Simple, just better stocked than your own. >You can think again. >That's good. >Not really. >You don't want to think. >So you follow her orders and start stripping. >The water was fine. >It didn't burn, but who cared anyway? >For a while, you just stand there getting drenched. >You start remembering the day. >You're sure the water on your face started getting warmer. >Wanting to cleanse yourself of the feeling, you started scrubbing with the pink soap. >You only stopped when you heard tapping on the door. >By that point your skin was red, white, wrinkled and sore. >"A-anon? I brought some of your clothes. I know how uncomfortable you feel without-" >She stopped for some reason. >You turn of her water. >"I'll just leave them out here..." >It was too late for her as you opened the door and took them from her. "Thanks." >She was sickly red for the few seconds she saw you. >You closed it and sat on the floor. >Still wet, you dressed. >You lack the energy to move after this. >"A-anon? A-are you done it th-there?" >That's right. >You weren't in your own home. >She had to drag you here. >This only made you sulk further. >But you can't stay here. "Yeah." >She opens the door slowly. >"Oh no. Anon, what happened, you're all wet. D-didn't you dry first?" >You shrug. >"You can't stay like that, you'll catch a cold! Come on." >She pulls you into her living room. >There was a hearth in the middle that she started with some matches. >Judging by the way she fumbled she doesn't use it often. >She leaves and returns with a blanket. >She puts it over you and tucks it in your front. >"Wait here, I'm going to start on some tea." >She does as she promised. >Only when she leaves you alone do you finally feel the cold. >It's barely noticeable now, thanks to the blanket and fire but it's there. >It only make you feel worse. >Just look. >You couldn't get a date, you couldn't take care of your own sister, and now you couldn't even take care of yourself. >Soaking wet in Fluttershy's home. >This realization frustrates you. >But you couldn't move. >You felt powerless to your own grief. >She came back shortly with a kettle and two cups. >"H-how do you like yours?" >You just stare at her. >She squeaks. >"Okay, I'll just..." >She pour some in each and after some stirring, give you the cup. >You look into it. >In the quiet of Fluttershy's cottage, you sat, slowly sipping on the hot drink. >Too weak in will to move. >And too stubborn to give up entirely.   >You're Fluttershy now. >The man of your dreams is sitting in front of you. >He's barely touched the tea you made to warm him up. >It hurts you to see him so miserable. >But it was all for a good cause. >It took some time and patience but now he didn't have anyone to distract him from what you knew was destiny. >Still, he's just been sitting for a while. >Staring at nothing, and drinking once in a while. >You're too nervous to say anything. >The silence is beyond awkward. >It wasn't like him to be so. >Dead. >You shutter. >Maybe you did go too far... >No! >You'd both be happy afterwards. >You have to remember. >He's shivering now. >He really shouldn't have been to hasty. >You've done all you can to warm him up. >What he needs is something more though. >He needs you. >Without saying anything, you flutter up to him. >He doesn't even acknowledge you. >You pull his blanket back and get next to him. >The moment you make contact with him you feel electric. >He was wet and cold, but still it felt so >Right. >He finally looks at you. >The look on his face. >It's the same lost puppy that you've come to adore. >It makes you smile. "Is this alright?" >You squeak when he surprises you with a wet hug. >You'd been waiting so long for this. >It was all worth it. >He starts sobbing things you can't understand. >You just sit and allow him to release his tension. >He starts demeaning himself. >This strikes a cord in you. >You reassure him every time. >You compliment him. >Remind him about all the good things he's done. >His word start becoming incoherent. >He's back to sobbing now. >You just hold him. >Soon he quiets down. >His clothes are dry too. >But you can't let go. >Not yet. >Not ever. >Oh, he's asleep. >Maybe, just for a little. >You let him slide onto your couch. >He looks stressed even in his sleep. >You can't just let him stay there. >He's your Anon now. >And you wanted the best for him.   >Anon again. >You're not sure what's happening. >Nothing seems real anymore. >Everything fuzzy. >You make out a dark room. >You're warmer than usual and your not in your own bed. >You also feel like shit. >Can't even move your head. >You examine the room again. >Fluttershy's next to you. >She's deep asleep and tightly clinging to you. >When did you start sleeping with her? >Then everything that's happened comes back. >Now it makes sense. >But you still want it to stop. >So you take the only way. >You close your eyes and try to escape again.   >Fluttershy. >It's been such a lovely time. >Anon has been staying with you for the past week or so. >He's not very lively, but that's okay. >He's still your Anon. >And you'd do anything for him. >He's spent most of that time in your bed. >You just woke up. >He was already awake, but you smiled. >If only you could spend every single moment with him. >You sigh. "Don't worry Anon, I'll be back soon." >You kiss him. >He doesn't do much else. >He stares at you though. >You feel butterflies inside. >Hopping out of bed, you prepare for the day. >Then you feed your friends, and make Anon breakfast. >You have to feed it to him, but you don't mind. >In fact, it's just another opportunity you get to spend time with him. >You realize. >You've already stocked up on everything for the week. >That means you can spend ever more time with Anon! >Your Fluffing his pillow now. >You hear him groan something. "What was that Anon?" >"Where's. Dinky. How's she?" >That name. >You sigh. >Even now he can't get over them. "Anon, I've already told you, I  spoke with the guards and they haven't found a thing." >He lays back. "Don't be like that, Anon please."
