"I-i-i-i-" >"Oh my goodness, you're freezing! Here." >She wraps her scarf around you. >It's still warm. >Next she pulls you close. >Being close to the source of the heat negated any and all the effects the cold had. >Now you're just left crying. >She shushes you. >"There there, it's fine now, what are you doing out here anyways?" >Tell her exactly what happened. >"You poor thing. D-do you know the number?" >She reveals her cellphone. >It's case is entirely covered in bunnies. >Shake your head. >No way are you gonna remember something like that. >Start sniffling again. >She bites her nails and looks around. >"Well... You can't just stay here." >You're almost dragged up with her waist as she stands. >"I'm sorry!" >Remain attached to her leg. >Hold onto it for dear life. >"Um, would you like to come stay with me until we can get you back to them?" >Nod. >"Okay..." >She takes your hand. >Despite the distance, you still feel comfortable. >Her hand is soft, yet firm. >It makes you feel safe at least. >She takes you to a little house in woods. >You're never seen this part of town. >It doesn't even look like it's part of it. >Gets inside without any difficulty. >You wait for her to tell you it's okay to enter. >You trusted her, but are still a little nervous. >She closes the door and offers you a seat on a couch. >It's already warm, but it's pushed even further when she starts the fireplace. >Finally realized you still have your backpack. >"Set it where ever you like." >You do so. >She starts taking off her coat. >Just sit, unsure of what to do. >"Um, I'm sorry but I never got your name." "A-Anon." >"Anon? That's a wonderful name." >Embarrassment ensued. >"So Anon. I was just about to start on some hot coco. I was wondering if you would like some as well." "Y-yes please." >She smiles at you. >Hear her hum as she leaves you. >Take the moment to look around. >Bird cages hang from the ceiling. >All kinds of passages around for... >Mice? >Whatever, it's cool. >Hear a little thumping against the floor. >It's a fuzzy little rabbit. >He sniffs you. >You reach down and try to pet him. >Bad idea. >The little hair ball bites your finger. >Yelp and instantly recoil. >Take a quick glance at it. >He just barely broke your skin, but that doesn't make it any less painful. >Feel the tears starting to come out. >Look straight at it. >He just crosses his arms and turns his head. >See the blood start coming out. >Manage to hold back from crying, but end up heaving anyway. >Immediately she comes back. >"What happened, I heard you-" >Notices you holding your hand and crying, then the smug bunny. >Her head then turns quickly to him. >"Angel, go back to bed this instant!" >He does so, reluctantly. >She tells you to show you and so you do. >Then you get told to wait. >She comes back with a few things. >The white bottle immediately gets you nervous. >She sees this. >"It'll only sting for a second." >She smiles at you. >"I promise." >Trusting in her, you offer your finger. >Feel something soft and gentle wipe against it. >Hear a liquid bubble. >Close your eyes and prepare for the worst. >"Are you ready?" >Nod. >Then the same softness is pressed against your cut. >Whimper, but remain still. >She shushes you. >It- >It doesn't hurt anymore... >"See? It wasn't so bad." >Open your eyes. >She's still smiling. >Lastly, she peels back a bandaid and wraps it around the tender flesh. >It doesn't feel complete though. >You rub the sticky elastic. >"Is something wrong?" >Seems like she knows exactly what you're thinking. "It's just- She always kisses it after..." >She nods and pulls it up. >Receive a little smooch on the tip. >"Is that better?" >Nod. >It really was. >You smile as you set your hands in your lap. >"Well if you need anything else, I'll be right over here." >You nod. >"Oh, don't be afraid to look around, but only if you want to..." >You nod once more, before she leaves you, glancing back a few times as she does. >With her permission, you get up and slowly walk around, making sure not to touch anything. >You find some books. >They're the kind that have nothing but words. >Although, the art on covers is pretty cool. >One of them looks really interesting too. >"You can read it if you'd like." >You jump slightly as she surprises you. >She giggles at your little spasm. >Eventually you get over the embarrassing moment, after only 5 minutes. "I was just looking." >"Really? You've been staring at that one for  10 minutes..." >You don't reply. >A little clattering is heard for just a second. >Finally deciding to look back, you seen a see two steaming mugs along with a kettle. >"Well, do you want marshmallows?" >You instantly forget about the embarrassment that just look place and confirm, enthusiastically. >She motions you back to the couch. >You get there before she does, the book still in your hands, though you've forgotten about it. >Once more, you sit expectantly with your hands clutching the book on your lap. >She drops something from a bag into one of the cups and hands it to you. "Thank you." >"Oh you're very welcome Anon." >She says as she sits next to you. >You don't have to be told to drink. >Bringing the cup to your lips, you- >"Wait!" >You freeze in fear and surprise. >What did you do? >Were you in trouble? >You turn to her. >When she saw the hurt look on your face she instantly regretted being so sudden. >Her instincts could be a little out of line, but for good reason. >"Um, you should wait for it to cool down a little before you drink." >She still felt bad. >You calmed down when she said that though, knowing she wasn't angry. >And when she saw your face return to normal, so did she. "Okay." >You were disappointed though. >She saw that too. >"Here, let me." >She scooted closer to you, pulling your hands up. >You weren't sure what she was doing. >She pouted her lips and blew gently, sending ripples through the milky liquid. >Some of her breath hit your face, but it wasn't unpleasant at all. >After a few more, she felt the side, then smiled as she let go. >Despite this, you still look at her unsure. >"Go ahead." >With her permission, you slowly brought the mug to your lips. >Your eyes widen. >It was amazing! >You couldn't stop yourself from trying to chug it all at once. >"P-please slow down, you'll get a tummy ache." >Her words hit you instantly. >You think for just a second, and do so gladly. >She smiles once before sipping on her own. >It was so creamy, so- >Perfect. >You make it through half of it when she mentions the book still in your lap. >As you turn to retort, she breaks out giggling. >You stare confused, until you feel a little moisture on your lip. >There was a big ol chocolate mustache, still dripping. >You blushed at her continued laughter and quickly wiped it from your maw. >Afterwards she apologizes right before asking about it. >You're not sure how to respond. >In all honesty, you really did want to see what it was about. >Of course you weren't exactly the best reader. >Who knows how long it would take you to get past the first page alone. "I dunno..." >The conflicted look on your face instantly popped out to her. >It was obvious you wanted to, but why you were hesitant she had to put together herself. >Eventually, she decided it was best if she compromised. >"Would you feel better I read it with you?" >You wait a moment to actually consider it. >Then you nod reluctantly. >She briefly wondered if what she was about to do was inappropriate. >But when she saw the look on your face, she forgot about it entirely and scooted over to you. >"What if I read first and then you tell me when you're ready?" >That sounded much better. >So you nodded. >She smiled and politely asked for the book. >You gave it to her and immediately realized something. >Despite the fire, you were still cold. >Not unbearable, but uncomfortable. >And definitely not enough to be noticed. >You look at her. >She turns to you smiling. >You can't hold one back either. >You hope it's not too much to ask. "Um excuse me Miss?" >"Yes? Is something wrong?" >You shuffle. "It's- it's still a little cold in here."
