I like to think of earthies as humans sometimes so what humans tend to be capable of in fanatasy settings can possibly go here. Had one earthie OC that could see strings of fate, so became a match maker, one that was good at interperting dreams and possibly dream hoping to help others cope with thier feelings, another that had a connections with rocks [12:31] sounds good [12:31] these of course would be too over powered for 4C but they are ideas to spark things [12:33] One idea i had for one of my stories was an earthie meeting a tribe of monkeys who taught her how to use earth abilities similar to the Monkey in the Journey to he West story [12:33] >after years of honing your body and mind you can unlock true earth pony strength +1 to AC [12:33] pfft [12:34] fate could be like a free edge point, allowing 1 reroll per adventure or every 3 hours or something. dreams and such would be more ideas for gms to mess with. there is also the rock farm, which after reading I still don't know exactly why rock farms are so important, or if they actually grow rocks from seeds, sort of like the crystal flower stuff from harvest moon and rune factory [12:34] games. [12:37] And fluttershy being able to talk to animals would be more of an earth thing [12:38] right, considering she's more of a special pegasus since the apples seem to communicate with them just fine. [12:39] What [12:42] So earths could be a choice Nature or Body or Spirit and the a sub catagory from there: Nature being plants, flowers, rocks, or animals, Body: Monk-ish martial arts, Brute strength and endurance, Spirit: Heart and soul and connecting to others, [12:42] Or this could be somthing all races have access to [12:43] yeah, I see you're sort of thinking along the same lines as the extra magic stuff I put up yesterday in the thraed. I admit, I am a bit jelly seeing so much variety in being a unicorn(magic) or pegasus(weather magic) in a magical fantasy land while an earthie gets to play with none of it, especially when you don't have a choice in you race. Like a diabetic kid in a candy store, ya know? Or forcing a character on lock down while watching others have fun. This may end up never get picked up, or expanded on and I'm okay with that. (Though, I may have to make changes to my own character if I want to play with what little earthies DO have to work with.
