Haibane Traits[edit]

These humanoids were once many things. Lovers, heroes, even villains once. Granted a second chance at life, with no memory of before, they now atone for the sins of their past lives.
Ability Score Increase. +1 to Dexterity score, +1 to Wisdom score
Age. Haibane have an indefinite age, due to the biological age at which they emerge from their cocoon differing, and the day they are called before the gods to pass peacefully into their place of rest.
Alignment. Due to their unconscious desire to atone for the errors and sins of their past life, Haibane are of lawful alignment more often than not
Size. You are a Medium sized creature
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Guiding Halo. This halo exists to guide the Haibane in their path to redemption. Carved by the holy people of the Haibane, it has a physical form in the first week after its placement upon the Haibane's head. After it turns immaterial, it can be switched from physical and immaterial at will. It sheds dim light in a 5-foot radius.
Wings. You have a fly speed of 30 ft and your wingspan is equal to your height. Your armor must be tailored to your wings to fly. There also must be room to fully spread your wings to fly
Languages. You can read, write, and speak Common, Celestial, and the language of Haibane. The language of Haibane uses only motions of the wings to "speak", and has a runic alphabet that consists of feather-like characters.
Holy Haibane[edit]

Ability Score Increase. +1 to Wisdom score
Stronger Halo. The halo now sheds bright light in a 5-foot radius, with the light magically cutting off after that point.
Weak Trance. Like the Elvish form of the trance, these Haibane need not sleep, instead needing only to meditate for 6 hrs in order to get the equivalent of 8 hrs rest for a human.
Feathered Haibane[edit]

Ability Score Increase. +1 to Dexterity score
Powerful Wings. Your wings are stronger than the average Haibane's, and grant you a fly speed of 60 ft when not wearing medium or heavy armor. Otherwise, you have a fly speed of 35 ft. However, they have a wingspan of twice your height.
Hollowed Bones. You are now weaker to bludgeoning damage, and suffer up to a total of +1d8 extra bludgeoning damage when hit.
