They have a fine layer of smooth tiny scales on their calves, forearms, and along the spine, as well as in place of eyebrows. The scales are typically a shade of blue and/or green. The u'shenni's skin colour is generally a lighter tint of their scales' colour. U'shenni have hair on their heads but nowhere else, and the hair is generally quite smooth but thicker than human hair. Their eyes are similar to a human's, but they have a nictitating membrane to help protect them. The hair and eye colours typically fall within the same range as the scales, though purples are not uncommon, but are often different than the scale colour. Their hands and feet have webbing between the digits, and have short, sharp claws. For ears, u'shenni have frills, about 2.5 to 4 inches in length. There are fine gills on their necks, which are noticeable underwater where they are in use, but are nearly invisible when out of the water. U'shenni have large breasts, generally averaging F to H cup in size. The breasts are so large because they store excess water to keep their bodies hydrated when out of the water. Their breasts slowly shrink as they dry out, but reinflate as they absorb water again, and are rubbery, keeping them tight and youthful-looking even when small due to dehydration. They can also breast feed after giving birth, much like humans, and produce a similar volume. Their skin is especially sensitive to pressures in the water, allowing them to feel what is around them while submerged. U'shenni are herbivores, even though they have teeth similar to elves. They are capable of surviving equally well in both salt water and fresh water, though if given the choice, they would prefer to live in fresh water over salt, because it's a little easier on their bodies' water filtration system. Due to the nature of the race's aura and resistance to cold, u'shenni are naturally averse to wearing clothing, and find the mere concept of it strange and alien to them. They accept that others wear things to cover their bodies, but u'shenni will absolutely refuse to do the same. Even armour is foreign to them, due to their protective aura. Jewelry, however, is not only acceptable, but appreciated, because it does not conceal or restrict mobility, and accentuates one's beauty. These beliefs are even reinforced by the magical protective aura, because while jewelry does not interfere with it, any and all clothing does. U'shenni therefore exclusively make jewelry versions of most worn magic items. Age. U'shenni reach adulthood around the age of 20.
