"My Fire Emblem/Westeros Inspired Setting of Barathor" By robblu (https://pastebin.com/u/robblu) URL: https://pastebin.com/wct5aqgh Created on: Wednesday 18th of November 2015 10:58:42 PM CDT Retrieved on: Saturday 31 of October 2020 03:42:46 AM UTC -The weapon and arcana triangle of advantage: in FE, swords had advantage over axes, which had advantage over spears, which had advantage over swords. In fantasy age I put the weapon groups into one of the three categories: -Axes: Axes and Bludgeons -Swords: Heavy Blades, Light Blades, and Dueling group -Spears: Spears, Polearms, Lances -Neutral weapon Groups: Bows, Staves, and Brawling. Firearms don't exist. -Magic in some of the games also had a triangle of advantage. Light Magic had Advantage over Dark, which had advantage over Anima, which had advantage over Light. The Arcane Blast of mages is one of these categories, while the arcana types are apart of one of these as follows: -Light: Lightning, Heroism, Power, Divine(custom, mostly stolen from dragon age) -Dark: Shadow, Fate, Divination, Death(custom, mostly stolen from dragon age) -Anima: Fire, Air, Earth, Water. -Healing Arcana is in its own neutral catagory that is channeled through magic staves that any Mage can do so long as they are properly equipped with a staff and have the arcana. -Advantage works by gaining a +1 to your attack roll against an opponent that you have weapon advantage over. When attacking an opponent who has weapon advantage over your weapon, you suffer a -1 penalty. -Arcane Devices: Dark, Light, or Anima Tomes. Specializations: many of the existing Specializations fill a lot of the classes of fire emblem, so I basically renamed them to fit the fire emblem upgraded classes: -The Elementalist is now called the Archmage -The Miracle Worker is now called the Bishop -The Sword Mage is now called the Monk (with some changes in weapon options) -The Necromancer from Dragon Age is now called the Sorcerer -The Sharpshooter is now called the Sniper -The Shadow from Dragon Age is now called the Trickster -The Duelist is now called the Swordmaster -The Assassin remains the Assassin -The Berserker is now called the Reaver -The Knight is now called the Paladin -The Champion from Dragon Age is now called the Hero -The Guardian is now called the Marshal There are 2 new Specializations; the Wyvern Rider(Warrior), and the Pegasus Rider(rogue). Changes to existing Specializations: -The Monk(sword Mage) now can choose any of the staves weapon or gauntlets as the arcane device/weapons instead of the ones provided. -The Sorcerer(Necromancer) doesn't gain the Death Syphon spell at Journeyman level. Instead sorcerers gain a new Spell Stunt: Steal Life-4sp-you gain half of the damage inflicted by the spell in MP. -The Trickster(Shadow)'s Backstab trigger is now triggered by Pinpoint Attack. Cunning=Intelligence. The Pegasus Rider: Rogue Specialization. Requires Animal Training(novice) and Dexterity(Riding) Focus. -Novice: You learn the Lances Weapon group if you haven't learned it already. You build a special bond with a Pegasus that was difficult, but well worth the effort. You can now mount a Pegasus. While flying on your Pegasus mount, if you attack with any weapon other than one from the Spear, Lance, or Bow weapon group, you suffer a -2 attack penalty. -Journeyman: You can use Lances and Spears with Accuracy rather than Fighting while mounted on a flying Pegasus. -Master: Your Pegasus has thunderous hooves. When performing a mounted charge while flying, your Pegasus' kick attack knocks prone targets that are within 2 yards of the target of your charge (including the target). The Wyvern Rider: Warrior Specialization: requires Animal Training(Novice) and Dexterity(Riding) Focus. -Novice: You learn the Lance weapon group if you haven't already. You build a special bond with wyverns that was very difficult to achieve, but well worth it. You can now mount wyverns. While flying, If you attack with any weapon other than Lances, Polearms, or Spears, you suffer a -2 penalty to your attacks. -Journeyman: You can wield any 2-handed spear or Polearm with only one hand while mounted on a Wyvern. -Master: Your Wyvern fights just as vigorously as you. When you perform a flying mounted charge, after you attack, the Wyvern gets to attack as normal except that it gets to attack with a bite and tail slap as a single major action. Stats for the Pegasus: -Acc: 1(bite) -Com: -2 -Con: 5 -Dex: 2(acrobatics) -Fgt: 1(Kick) -Int: -2 -Per: 2(sight) -Str: 4 -Wil: 2 -Speed: 18 / 20 fly -Defense: 12 -HP: 40 -Armor: 1 -Bite:+3(1d6+4) -Kick:+3(1d6+5) Stats for Wyverns: (2 legs, 2 wings, long neck and tail, no poison sting) -Acc:1(bite) -Com:-3 -Con:5 -Dex:1(Acrobatics) -Fgt:1(Tail Slap) -Int:-3 -Per:1(smell) -Str:5 -Wil:2 -Speed:12/16 fly -Defense:11 -HP:45 -Armor:2 -Bite:+3(1d6+8) -Tail Slap: +3(1d6+5)
