"EQ Game Intro- Jin Crawfoot" By klimino (https://pastebin.com/u/klimino) URL: https://pastebin.com/UU4eRzW9 Created on: Friday 15th of September 2017 06:53:41 PM CDT Retrieved on: Sunday 25 of October 2020 03:44:27 AM UTC As the Sun slowly started to set upon the jungle the booming sound of a storm breaking could be heard, the ground quickly getting assaulted by a barrage of rain as the last light slowly started to die, giving way to what would be a long night it seemed. As the ground turned to mud a Skinny, slightly shorter stallion would slowly drag himself out of the jungle and towards the southern gate. His journey had been long, his leather raincoat and hood helping ease just how drenched he was becoming, but the ragged design of the massively repaired and batters clothing was letting more then just a few drops sink through. The Leather armor and bags underneath weren't much better, as small clay pots and other equipment bounced about, his ears twitching in the rain, one in a little ear cubby, the other expose, just more signs of how ratty his outfit had become. Named Jin Crawfoot, the Murky dark teal furred pony, with mane like muddy seaweed walked through the gate, the scars upon his one exposed flank drawing the attention of the guard as he passed by, the seemingly intentional shape of it drawing questions into his mind, but none enough nor signs of danger to prevent entry as it were. As Jin stared forward, his bright, Shining teal eyes blinking away the rain, the bags under his eyes showing just how long he had spent out in the unknown, out trekking through the jungle. The short beard probably was a better sign he hadn't been in civilization in a long time, or perhaps his rough, unkempt curly hair haphazardly cut and trimmed by someone who was clearly not a hairdresser. Stopping, Jin looked around the sparse streets. While night was not so far along, the rain itself was helping send people back home, and the Stallion hardly even knew where to go, only that this was his destination. Heading over to a tree, the poor, ragged pony sat down, looking around at the few ponies still going about their business, pulling out some dried meat and berries to munch on. When in the wild, you couldn't be picky, and the line between herbivore and omnivore got pretty blurry. 'So, this is the Human Town....' Jin thought, setting down a small clay cup to catch some rainwater to go along with his small, shoddy meal. He...wasn't sure what he expected, but he felt disappointed. It looked no different then any other Equestrian settlement he had run into...not that he had run into many in his travels, but the patterns were clear and cut, and nothing stood out here to remind him of home. Ears drooping, Jin sighed. Home. How long ago was it now? Four months? Five? He had lost count of time, as he had left civilization to try and find something, anything, that could help him get home, after he had quickly learned the Ponies had nothing to offer in help. It had been a journey alright. Like anywhere, the Unknown wilds were harsh and unforgiving, but add in all the magic nonsense and it became a deathtrap around every corner. Shuddering, both from the rain and the memories, Jin shook himself a bit, his hair and soaked leather hardly getting any drier given the weather. He drooped lower, the thought of having put himself through all of that for nothing hitting hard, his Bright eyes dulling a bit as he felt tears build up and release, happy to have the rain to drown them out as he stared into a puddle. Months of his life alone, one place to another, one danger to the next, and he had found nothing to help him get home. No way back to his parents, sisters, Grandparents, friends. All still gone. He chuckled a bit, wiping at his eyes. He had been through a lot for someone 19, and the fact he had learned so much and survived he supposed, was a good sign he was worth his weight in some way, even if failing in this was hard to take. Taking a deep breath, Jin tossed the rest of his meager meal into his mouth, picked up his cup and downed the overflowing cup, then pushed it back into his shoddy, makeshift bags as he wandered back into town. He didn't know what to expect in this town, but hopefully, if it was so what he had been told, it would be a little part of home brought to Equestria. More importantly, he hoped age laws didn't apply to alcohol. He really needed a drink.
