Setting: The World of Darkness is obstensibly real life. Trump is president, coronavirus is occuring, the same countries are on the map and [official] history happened, though its depicted through a dark filter. Think of movies like Underworld, Dark Knight, or the Matrix or anime like Hellsing. Rain-slicked streets, gargoyles on skyscrapers, everything happenning at night. The world is filled with magic and monsters like vampires, werewolves, and demons, all of whom [for one reason or another] hide their existence from the normal mundane world. I'm permitting two character options, the Awakened and the Exalted.

Awakened: The Awakened, also known as Mages are powerful reality warpers who use 'true magick', the ability to force reality to conform to their will. Ruleswise they don't have 'spells', they have the Spheres of Magick, each ranked 0-5 that grant increasingly greater control over an aspect of reality like Forces, Matter, Life, Space, Time, Mind, etc. Despite the name they need not be 'wizards', but can be any 'new reality' you want to impose on normal reality, such as miracle workers, super-scientists, and super-martial artists. In exchange for this versatility they suffer from Paradox, a tendency for their powers to fail or backlash in the presence of skeptical humans.

Exalted: The Exalted are humans blessed with the powers of the gods of the sun, moon, or stars with superhuman skill or might. They function much like mythological or anime characters, being capable of taking most forms of human endeavor to their limit [strength, speed, intellect, charisma, etc]. They draw on a list of powers called 'Charms' rather then the open-ended Spheres, but are both stronger then the Awakened and do not suffer from Paradox. I'm permitting four kinds.

Solars: Think Superman, Batman, All Might, Hercules, or anyone else whose fundamentally human in appearance but superhuman in might, speed, intelligence, etc.

Lunars: Terrifying werebeasts and shapeshifters capable of taking a variety of forms, including an enormous hulk-size human+animal hybrid.

Sidereals: Masters of destiny, capable of seeing the future and hacking reality in bizarre ways.

Abyssals: Edgy, daywalker Solars who look like vampires but don't suffer from their weaknesses.
