KILL THEM, OR I WILL PERSONALLY RIP YOUR HEARTS OUT!" >This threat knocks a good amount of them out of their fear paralysis, and you see your initial path growing a little smaller as the Dogs get closer to you >Looks like all you have to do is make them fear you more than they fear their boss >A bigger dog steps in front of you >You spot a couple of bolts already lodged in his chest >Without hesitation, you continue running your path >Just as he's about to shoot a bolt at you, you jump and strike his neck >You don't stop to admire your work, but you hear a loud thump, and a smaller thump, and can imagine what you just did >"Captain!" >You look up, seeing Lightning Strike being assaulted by many thousands of arrows >Thank the gods for Star Shine's shield, or your comrade would be in fatal agony What is it Lightning Strike?! >"Boss Paw is about 30 meters ahead, towards your 2 'o clock!" Roger! >Making a slight adjustment on your course, you slice at two more dogs in your way, spilling their blood >A little further ahead, you see your target, his ancient armor a dead giveaway >It actually looks similar to the ancient Roman armor >There is a fire in his eyes, but you remain undaunted >Readying your sword, you sprint to him >He raises his sword above his head, and brings it down >You side step and strike at his mouth, your saber slashing through him like jelly >A satisfactory sloshing noise gives you somewhat of a sick comfort >You take a look at your saber, admiring how wet it is with his blood >A glimmer from a non-stained part of the blade catches your eye >The beautiful sun is finally up >Turning your head to face your opponent, the calm you felt disappears >The Dog you see is not Boss Paw, but an imposter >Uh... Lightning Strike! How many others do you see in this armor? >Above, you see enemy arrows continue their assault on your pegasi >"There's at least 30! Which one is the leader?!" >Your suspicions are confirmed: that dog was more than likely a decoy >Either that, or at most, an officer >Still doesn't get rid of Boss Paw >The surrounding Diamond Dogs start to close in on you >Lucky is 10 meters away, fighting off increasing amounts of Dogs >Anger rises in you, and your aural presence increases significantly >It's now even around your saber >Something's...different >You feel something...like a pulse, but outside your body >You turn left a little, and it feels stronger >Smiling, you realize what it is Strike and Blue! Try to cover me as best as you can! Lucky, you better keep up with me! >"Understood Captain!" they all yell >You spring forward, pre-empting a strike from the dog in front of you: grabbing his striking arm with your left, you pull...and rip it off, leaving a screaming dog and a bloody mess on the ground >Those that were around you suddenly back off, aware of that unfortunate dog's wound That's right you FUCKERS! If you make it to me, I WILL rip your body apart! I'll let you live with your mutilated bodies! >Many of them are backing up... >And your shield goes down >Uh...Star Shine? >You turn your head, and see that while you were busy, a swarm of dogs climbed up the cliff >You can't even see Star Shine, but you notice that the Dogs are having the fight of their lives >In the couple of moments after you looked, all struggle stopped, as the Dogs carry the Star Shine's motionless body STAR SHINE! >Fury floods your body, and you continue running towards that pulse >There's nothing you can do, except make sure his sacrifice was not in vain Lightning Strike! Blazing Blue! Watch out for projectiles now! They got Star Shine! >At that moment, you feel that you ignited a flame in their hearts >Visibly, they're fighting more brutally than before >Blazing Blue yells out "I'm out of bolts! I'm coming down!" >Before you can respond, he dives into the fray >He lands about 50 meters away to your right, and you have no choice but to watch him get swarmed >He holds his own for a small while, but like Star Shine, it stops suddenly >His bloody body is carried away BLAZIN' BLUE! >Though you have a strong desire to just start in the brawl, you don't >You realize that he managed to draw a good amount of them from your right side, giving you some more space in your path >An unfortunate dog strays into your way >Temporarily sheathing your saber, you jump and knee him in his throat >As he falls backwards, gagging, you unsheathe your saber, and stab him in the spine at the base of his neck >You continue your sprint towards the ever stronger pulse, imagining the pain and horror you inflicted upon that creature, namely the paralysis he'll endure if he survives >It can't be a pleasant way to die either... >Ahead of you, you can see a huge group of dogs, and in the center... >The real Boss Paw! >They're rather close to the river. Not good. >"WATCH OUT CAPTAIN!" >You look up, and see Lightning Strike falling down, several arrows in his wings, one in his flank >His landing is short of graceful, but he controlled it enough that he didn't die from a fall >He's about 30 meters away, and you start to stray from the course >"LEAVE ME! HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! GO!" >Like with the others, they swarm him and take him out within seconds >One of them carries the lifeless body LIGHTNING STRIKE! >Rage consumes you >You try to turn, but something grabs you and throws you into the air >You land on the animal, and almost slay it >At the last moment, you realize that Lucky threw you onto his back >"Captain! Boss Paw is right there! They've all sacrificed themselves so you could get closer to him! Finish the job!" >You start slashing at the dogs that approach both of you from the side Don't worry, Lucky. Boss Paw's conquest will end today >It's not long before you're bathed in blood, up to Lucky's bridle >It's death to retreat, there's no chance of survival >You can feel the pulse getting so much stronger >It's almost unbearable >25 meters away from the river >Your heart sinks >Boss paw is already across the river, in Equestrian soil >Before the river, a sizable amount of dogs remained behind to meet you >You attempt to get ready for the onslaught >Instead, Lucky picks you off of his back, and quickly throws you into the air >The dogs surround him, and he kills a good amount of them alone >While you're still in the air though, he gets overrun, and the fighting ceases LUCKY! >You see his body get carried towards the other side of the river >The width of the river isn't long, but being thrown across it certainly took a godly amount of strength >Landing on the other side, you feel a slight shock, almost like a small static electricity >They must know already >That doesn't matter anymore. You are ready to kill BOSS PAW! THIS DAY WE FIGHT! >He doesn't acknowledges you >Before you can attempt to attack him, a bunch of dogs cut you off >They came carrying the bodies of your comrades >"You see, Anon, we defeated your little group. You all fought bravely, but it was a futile effort. You're the only one left, and seeing how easily my Dogs killed your Guards, you'll prove no different >The dogs swarm you, blocking almost all light ENOUGH! >You break through their cluster, slicing through most of them >Those that were injured, fall bleeding profusely >The uninjured run away >Boss Paw finally looks at you >"Ah, so you have a touch of the Darkness in you, eh? No wonder you're so skilled in combat!" >You ignore him, instead going towards your comrades >Quickly, you take the dog tags of your fallen heroes >After completing the task, you walk towards Boss Paw, finishing the wounded in your path >In seconds, he surrounds himself in an aura surprisingly similar to yours >He smirks >"You see Anon, we're in fact very similar. I invite you join me in my conquest." >In response, you raise your saber to him >"Oh well. It would have been cumbersome to work with another Agent of Chaos." >Wait... What? >He doesn't answer you >Instead, he unsheathes his weapon, and dashes towards you >His attacks are shockingly faster than last time on the mountain, but you're able to deflect with relative ease >Boss Paw's sword flies everywhere, from your head to your toes >You suddenly push forward, switching from the defensive >Attacking him proves fruitless; he deflects every blow you give >"Try this motherfucker!" >He pulls out another sword from seemingly nowhere >In fact, it appears to just materialize into his hand >You can't help but switch back to the defensive after he starts dual-wielding >It's no longer so simple to block >Stepping back, you're not given any chance to reach for your knife >Strike from above...You deflect it, but immediately have to duck to avoid the strike to your side >Without rest, he goes to stab your face, forcing you to jump to the side >The way he's fighting, it's almost like he knows what you're going to do...not quite, but almost >He is definitely superior to you in swordplay, the only reason you're still alive is probably this magic >In an instant, you form a plan >His next strike is a stab, headed for your chest >His blade is dripping with that dark aura... >You mentally prepare yourself... >And it hits in the same spot as his last hit on the mountain >The old wound opens up with excruciating pain >Not missing a beat, you turn hard, forcing the sword out of his hands, simultaneously dropping your saber and drawing your knife >He definitely did not expect this >Jumping forward, you catch him by complete surprise as you sink your knife into his throat, stopping after hitting the spinal chord >Awestruck, he falls backwards, and you watch his life quickly leave >You pull the sword out of your chest, and feel the worst sort of agony >You're breathless, weakened, and bleeding >You fall to your knees >In fact, you're pretty much defenseless >That's ok though...you killed Boss Paw >Perhaps you can join your comrades in the Elysian Fields... >You can barely see anything, but you hear quick steps surrounding you >This is it... >"Captain Anon! By Order of Princess Celestia, you are hereby under arrest for malicious trespassing and treason by attempted hostile invasion!" >That voice...it's not a dog >Your eyes focus on the figure in front of you >A Royal Guard, with officer ranks >Around him are similarly ranked Guards, split between pegasus and unicorn >Your suspicions are confirmed >That shock you felt earlier landing on this side of the river was a magical alarm >You look behind you, seeing that those dogs are retreating swiftly >Good... You were at least right about that >Wait a second, what did that Guard say? >Shit, they think you led the dogs here! No, you don't understand! I just killed their leader, to protect Equestria! >"A likely story. How do you explain those fallen Guards behind you?!" >Star Shine...Blazin' Blue...Lightning Strike...Lucky... They fought bravely...I couldn't have defeated Boss Paw without them... >That now familiar burning in your eyes...tears threaten to spill out >The Guard turns to another >"What do you think, sir?" >The other one replies, "I think it's more likely those four fought off as many dogs as they could, and Anon here figured he'd use their corpses as displays of what he intended to do with us. No Royal Guard would ever disobey their commander, or dessert their post. Take him to the prison." >You respond Do you honestly think I would lead an army against Equestria? Why would I kill Boss Paw, if not to protect Equestria? >That same Guard says, "Don't listen to him! He's trying to trick us!" >He looks directly towards you. "I'll indulge you with what I see. I saw a power struggle between two leaders, desperately wanting full control of the Diamond Dog Army. Don't lie. You both had the same magical aura when you were fighting, which means that you both serve the same master. I don't know who it is, but your comrade down there isn't the only one your master will lose today." >Where is all this coming from? Who's telling you all these lies? >"Princess Celestia NEVER lies, you swine!" >Strength fails you as they grab you >Taking off, your journey to the Equestrian prison begins >No one is hearing your pleas of innocence >With the altitude rising, and your weakened state, everything starts to turn black >Before you pass out, you observe the leader's eyes...they seem to give off a faint glow
