"Smash Level: Weather Control Center" By NudeBeach (https://pastebin.com/u/NudeBeach) URL: https://pastebin.com/Pq363MAt Created on: Friday 21st of August 2020 02:38:26 AM CDT Retrieved on: Saturday 31 of October 2020 03:53:05 PM UTC Origin: Mega Man X2 Size: Small-Medium Geography: The level is roughly bowl-shaped; there is a low platform in the center, and connected to it at two sloping walls. The one on the left is a simple incline with no frills that terminates in another simple flat platform. The one on the right has several landings on it, and no flat plane at the end. Aesthetics: A massive greenhouse that contains an artificial rainforest. The ground is covered in grass and flowers with layers of blocky stone underneath, except for the low platform in the center, which is the trunk of a large tree, with vines growing around it in some spots. The background is comprised of layers of rainforest-style greenery, with the skybox being big blue panels of glass with metal pillars just visible behind it. Features: The primary feature of the level is a blue crystal orb that can create one of four weather effects when struck with a special attack, depending on the input for the attack in question. It periodically moves between sitting on a small pedestal in the center of the 'bowl', and floating in the air above that, about level with the tops of the slopes on either side of it. The crystal acts a solid object, can be climbed on, and will stop projectiles. Upwards specials return the level to Normal weather, with no special effects. Neutral specials turn the weather Sunny, which causes small solar powered turrets on poles to rise out of the ground and periodically fire laser blasts towards the center of the stage. Down specials cause Rainy weather, which makes spiky vines grow up out of the ground, which hurt on contact. Side specials make the weather Windy, which causes a small pushing effect within a certain radius of the crystal, in the direction that the character was facing when they did the attack. Non-damaging specials cannot change the weather. The vines do decent damage and flinch on contact, while the lasers from the turret enemies do weak damage but have modest knockback. The poles of the turrets are insubstantial, while their heads act as small square platforms. The vines block projectiles. The turrets and vines can spawn from any portion of the level that can be walked on except the pedestal and the orb itself, with their exact location chosen randomly when the weather changes. They spawn in groups of 1-5 at a time, though the odds are somewhat weighted towards 2-4. Reference(s): https://imgur.com/a/bB9pt9r
