TANK GOODNESS! Up+B: Jet Assault - A jet pack appears on Marco's back, and he zooms straight up, firing a shot with his pistol straight down. The player can mash B for more shots (up to 4), and steer the launch in a left or right arc with the analog stick. Marco will always fire in the opposite of the direction he is currently moving. Neutral B: Instant Arsenal - Marco reaches behind him while the B button is held down, and, when it's released, pulls a large gun out of nowhere and fires it straight ahead. The gun produced varies with charge time as follows: Heavy Machine Gun, Iron Lizard, Enemy Chaser, Shotgun. The heavy machine gun shoots a burst of bullets forward; the iron lizard shoots a small remote-controlled car that rolls along the ground and explodes upon hitting an enemy, wall, or attack; the enemy chaser fires a slow-moving homing missile; and the shotgun shoots a short-range blast that causes heavy damage. Side+B: Grenade Toss - Marco throws a stick grenade forward a set distance in an arc. It bounces off of any surface twice before exploding, but will explode immediately on contact with an enemy. At certain distances, this will go right over any enemy who is not exceptionally tall. Two grenades can be active at once. The grenade's explosion is about twice as tall as it is wide. Down+B: Chow Down! - Marco starts eating a random piece of food (either a watermelon, a roast turkey, or some dimsum; these all act identically) for as long as the button is held. While eating, point values start to pop out of Marco, starting at 10 points and progressing as the coins do here ( https://metalslug.wikia.com/wiki/Items#Money_Items ) until it reaches 6400 points. At 6400, an announcer goes "Whoa! Big!" and Marco abruptly becomes very fat. While fat, Marco is resistant to knockback (but no less agile), his melee moves hit harder, and his bullets are larger. Terminating the move before hitting 6400 points is near-instant, but also resets point progress to the start. Marco returns to his normal weight after running for a long period of time, or dying. Final Smash: Slug Squadron - Marco holds his pistol up high, and laughs. A Metal Slug forms around him, and he charges forward in it at a high speed. This charge ignores walls and pits, but goes up and down slopes. If it misses, he reappears in the spot where he started the move (or in the safe spot nearest to that if this is impossible for some reason, such as the attack being done on a moving platform). If it hits, the enemy is splatted onto the front of the vehicle, which speeds off of the battlefield, and onto a military base. The Slug brakes sharply, flinging the enemy off of it, and into the center of a circle of other Slug vehicles, including a Slugnoid, Slug Flyer, Slug Copter, and Astro Slug. All five vehicles open fire on the enemy with their machine guns before ramming them at a high speed, and causing an explosion, at which point the opponent returns to the level. Marco is a hit-and-run character who really prefers keeping his enemy at a distance - unless he's in fat mode, where he becomes a viable meleer and camper. His Jet Assault is good for escaping, but is only an okay recovery, and his Grenade is designed as a panic button for when the enemy gets too close, but using the jet pack is somehow undesirable. Playing him is always at least a little frantic, but at times makes you feel like a gigantic badass, mimicking the feel of his home franchise. His alternate costumes are in fact alternate characters, like how Bowser Jr. works. They are: Tarma, Eri, Fio, Trevor, Nadia, Amir, and Alisa.
