0 - It is an insult that this even exists.
1 - Unplayable trash
2 - Unplayable trash, but there's a lot of subjectivity in that
3 - Unfinishable, but there's a few things to like
4 - As bad as a game can get and still have me play through it
5 - Fine. Adequate.
6 - Slightly above average. Fun but heavily flawed.
7 - Genuinely good.
8 - Great. As good as a game can get without being mind-blowingly good.
9 - Mind-blowingly good, but not perfect. Has a few problems, but they only kind of matter.
10 - Amazingly fun and of supremely high quality. Either without flaws, or with flaws that are minimal and subjective.

0-1 - "Why even release this?"
3-4 - "I really don't like this, but I could see why someone might."
5 - "No real flaws, but it's so boring."
5-7 - "I really hope this gets a sequel because it could be something really special if they fixed x, y, and z."
