Part 4

You were almost certain that this was the end. You stand there waiting for Twilight to deliver a fatal blow. Knocking you unconscious, she would take you to her Princess. And from there… you would never see Rainbow Dash again. You would never see Pinkie Pie again. You would never see Ponyville again…. You hold your ground, awaiting the inevitable.

Yet…

It never comes.

You look into Twilight’s eyes. They don’t contain the same fire that you witnessed the first time you met her. Instead, they seem to signal peace. She’s not here for a fight. Not yet at least. You maintain steadfast. You can’t trust Twilight Sparkle, not after what she did.

Twilight takes a step backwards, though her eyes stayed locked with yours. The room is still lit by her magical aura. You take a step backwards as well, expecting the worse. 

“Anon, I’m not here to fight you.” She says softly. Her words pierce the silence like a bullet hitting glass. 

What do?

>A) Yeah, right. (Attack)
>B) I’m listening… (Prepared to defend)
>C) You need to leave, right now.


CHOICE B

You ease your posture slightly, yet you are still prepared for the worst.

“I’m listening…” you say. Twilight’s face eases as you spoke those words.

“You need to leave Ponyville, Anon.” she says bluntly. “I know you don’t want to, but it’s not safe for you anymore. It’s not safe for anypony.” You shake your head in disapproval.

“There is NO way I’m leaving.” You say adamantly. “No matter what you do, what you say. You will never make me leave.” Twilight’s aura flickers a little bit, causing you to jump. She takes another step backwards.

“You don’t understand, Anon…” she says.

“Of course I don’t!” you reply. “I don’t understand a single thing! I especially don’t understand the harm in me being here! I am no monster! I am-“ 

“I know you aren’t a monster!” Twilight interjects. “I’ve always known. I trust Rainbow Dash. When she told me all of those things, I just had to believe her. I had to!” 

This isn’t the same Twilight who almost killed you a handful of hours ago.

“You… you told me you didn’t trust her….” You say. “Who are you? You aren’t the real Twilight.”  Twilight (or her doppelganger) groans in disapproval.

“You need to listen to me, Anon! I don’t… I don’t have much time.”

What do?

>A) Attack this fraud.
>B) Continue listening.
>C) Force her to leave before things get out of hand.


CHOICE B

“Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and myself, we all represent what is known as the Elements of Harmony.” She says. Elements… you remember her mentioning something about ‘”elements” when you were fighting against her. “Without all of us, the Elements are useless. And if the Elements are useless, then all of Equestria is in grave danger.”

You’re not sure if you should believe all of this “Elements” mumbo-jumbo. This could very well be a clever ruse to get you banished. But you let Twilight continue.

“When Rainbow’s loyalty to you began to overpower her loyalty to us, the bond weakened.” Twilight says. “The Princess wanted you banished before it became worse, but it was too late. Rainbow Dash wouldn’t let us do anything. She cared too much about you…. Ugh…” You notice Twilight close her eyes and step backwards. Her aura was fading slightly. 

“Anon…” she says. “Our jealousy and sadness of losing our friend is corrupting us. It is making us want nothing more to see you destroyed.” She steps backwards again. She begins to cough.

What do?

>A) Attempt to help her.
>B) Listen on.
>C) Attack.


CHOICE B

Twilight begins to struggle to stand up. Her aura slowly reddens as her coughs become louder. 

“A-Anon!” she yells. “I am… l-leaving you this book…” She struggles to remove the book from her pack, but she manages to remove it. She tosses it at you, it lands at your feet. “Anon… it has to be you or us…” You stare, expecting her to say more.

“I’ve tried researching another possibility…” Her eyes begin to redden. “If… if you don’t leave… the rest of us will simply stop at nothing until you are gone. And… and… it’s not our choice… it’s…” 

The ground begins to shake as Twilight’s aura becomes redder. You jump backwards to avoid any possible attack. You hear a loud crack, followed by a low rumble. The room is lit up in a bright light that hurts your eyes. You cover them, expecting the worse. 

After a few seconds, there is nothing but silence. You open your eyes to find the room empty. You get up slowly and walk over where Twilight was standing. There is a large burn mark on the ground, nothing more. 

What do?

>A) Grab the book, open it.
>B) Check on Rainbow and Pinkie.
>C) Search for clues as to where Twilight may have gone.


CHOICE A 

You turn around and pick up the book off of the ground. It is small, and thin. The cover is blank and dusty. You open it and rummage through the pages. All blank. You groan angrily. 

“Questions.” You say. “All I have are questions and no answers!” The book is useless. She must have given you the wrong one. You sit on the couch and mess with the book some more. There must be a secret to this book. Something hidden… anything.

You find nothing.

“How is this supposed to help me…?” you think to yourself. The book rattles a bit. You open it to the first page. Written in red ink, you read:

‘Ask. Receive.’

Not more magic… anything but that…. You’ve had enough magic more one lifetime.

What do?

>A) Ask it a test question.
>B) Forget this. Go check on Rainbow.
>C) Destroy the book. 


CHOICE A

Might as well give it another shot. You ponder what question to ask it, something vague yet helpful.

“Where is Twilight Sparkle?” you think to yourself. The book rattles, then ink appears on the page.

‘Canterlot. Celestia’s Quarters.’

Ok… so this book may be useful after all. 

You notice a glimmer on the top of the page. It looks like 4 tally marks. The fourth suddenly fades away. 

This book has 3 uses left. What ask?

>A) Is there a way I can stay here in Equestria?
>B) What is the deal with these gloves?
>C) Am I destined to fail?
>D) Which pony should I find next?

Alright… here we go.

“Is there a way I can stay in Equestria?” The book rattles, the ink appears:

‘Yes. Unity.’

“Can I recharge your uses?” The book rattles, the ink appears:

‘Once. Library.’

“Is there a way to restore the Elements?” The book rattles, the ink appears:

‘Yes. Unity.’


The book rattles one final time and seals itself. You try to open it again, but it is sealed shut. 

“Alright…” you think. “I can restore the Elements AND stay in Equestria. All I need is… ‘unity’. Unity of what? And I can recharge this book once more at the Library.” You gulp loudly. “Twilight’s place.”

You glance at the clock.

7:52 pm

What do?

>A) Check on Pinkie and Rainbow.
>B) Head for Twilight’s alone.
>C) Rest.


CHOICE A

Rainbow and Pinkie!

You jump off of the couch and dart upstairs. You head into the room to find Pinkie and Rainbow in the same place you left them. And they are still asleep. How could they have slept through all of that?

You place the book on the dresser and head over to Rainbow. She is breathing gently, but she is definitely still passed out. You notice that she brought a bag back. It is next to the bed.

You walk over to Pinkie. She is asleep as well, on the ground. So much for her guard duties.

What do?

>A) Try to wake Rainbow and Pinkie.
>B) Rummage through Rainbow’s bag.
>C) Leave, head for Twilight’s alone.
>D) Sleep. 


CHOICE A

You kneel down next to Pinkie gently rub her back.

“Pinkie?” you whisper. “Pinkie Pie?” 

No response. 

You walk over to the bed and rub Rainbow’s back as well. 

“Rainbow Dash?” you whisper. “Wake up. Wake up, Dashie!” You rub her slightly harder. 

No response.

This doesn’t seem right. 

Twilight….

She must have put a spell on them before she waited for you to head downstairs. 

What do?

>A) Rest.
>B) Search the room for a solution.
>C) Leave, head for Twilight’s. 
>D) Rummage through Rainbow’s bag.


CHOICE B

You need to wake them up. They are your only chance of making any progress. Plus, you need to inform them of what just happened.

You search every bit of the room for some kind of device to awaken your friends. You search and search, but nothing seems useful.

You stand in the middle of the room and think.

If Twilight put a spell on Pinkie and Rainbow, and she was friendly, there must be an antidote nearby. 

You decide to check their bodies for any sign of a struggle, or perhaps an indication of what to do. 

You check Pinkie first. There isn’t any sign that she fought Twilight. You check her body for any small sign. You move her mane to the side and peer at her neck. 

“Aha!” you say. There was a small crystalline object protruding from her neck. It was glowing a faint purple aura. You gently pull the object out. The bottom half of it was covered in what looked like blood. Pinkie shifts slightly.

“Pinkie? Are you awake?” She opens her eyes slowly and sits up.

“Wowie…” she says. “What a good sleep! But my neck hurts…” she rubs her neck gently where the object was buried.

You dart up and head over to Rainbow. You find another of the crystalline darts lodged in the same location. You gently pull it out. Rainbow comes to within a few seconds.

“Wha… what happened? Anon?” She says. She wraps her fore hooves around your neck. You return the gesture.

What do?

>A) Fill them in.
>B) Fill them in, but only the important stuff.
>C) Say you need to go to Twilight’s.
>D) Ask them how they are.


CHOICE C

You hug Rainbow a bit tighter before you let her go. Pinkie jumps on the bed a tackles you with a hug as well. You return the favor; you gotta share the love.

“I’m glad to see you guys.” You say. Pinkie and Rainbow both nod and smile at you. “But there’s some stuff you have to know….”

…
…


You spend the next hour telling them about your encounter with Twilight, the magic book, the crystalline darts, and you tell Rainbow about Pinkie’s return to Harmony, though Rainbow apparently already knew. 

“When I got here, Pinkie spent a good while telling me about your little… scuffle.” Rainbow Dash rubs your arm. “I’m glad you’re ok, Anon.”

RD LP: 62

You continue to explain that the book has a chance to be recharged, and that it told  you that Twilight was in Canterlot. You also bring up the magical gloves, but they knew nothing about it. 

You explain about the idea of ‘unity’ as being the only way to restore order to the Elements and as a way of keeping you here. Yet, you don’t even know where to begin. And neither do they, unfortunately.

Rainbow and Pinkie sit stunned. So much to think about, but you’re happy they are up to date. 

“What do we do, Anon?” Pinkie asks happily. You shake your head and shrug.

“I don’t really know, Pinkie.” You reply. “There’s a lot going on. And being in charge is a bit overwhelming. But… but we can do this.”

The two ponies nod in agreement.

“So, Anon…” Rainbow says. “What do you think we should do?”

What do?

>A) We need to recharge the book.
>B) We need to find another pony; [Pony Select]
>C) We need to organize ourselves further. 
>D) You pick, Rainbow.





CHOICE B (Rarity)

“We need to find another one of your friends.” You say. “Let’s find Rarity. Well… do you think that’s a good idea?” You realize that you know nothing much about Rarity other than that she is a unicorn and that she is into fashion. She should be harmless, right?

…


Pinkie and Rainbow inform you about Rarity. Her unhealthy addiction to gems, her knowledge of the martial arts, and her pretty, pretty mane. 

“If she’s corrupted…” You begin. “She may be an incredibly hostile threat.” Your friends nod slowly. “But… we need some sort of magic on our side. Aside from this book and gloves that is.” They nod again. “Let’s do it then. We should find Rarity and return her to Harmony.”

You get up from the bed and stretch. You notice Rainbow’s bag on the ground. You also notice Pinkie Pie now has some armor on. 

What… what do?

>A) Inquire about the bag.
>B) Inquire about the armor. 
>C) Check inventory.
>D) Let’s go!


CHOICE A

You pick up the bag and lay it next to Rainbow Dash. 

“Oh, yeah!” she says. She grabs the bag and begins to rummage through it. “I brought this bag for you, Anon. But first, I wanted you to have this.” She pulls out a long silver chain. At the end of the chain is a small locket and a brilliant blue feather. Rainbow reaches over and puts the chain around your neck. It is a bit snug, but nice nonetheless.

“I… uh… well…” she says. “I had this made for you in honor of the anniversary of the day we met….” She mumbles a few other things before she begins to blush furiously. You attempt to open the small locket. After some fiddling with it, you manage to find its clasp. Inside is a crudely draw picture of you and Rainbow Dash. 

Rainbow Dash flies up from the bed and stretches. You open your mouth to say something, but she yawns loudly in protest.

“Don’t worry, Anon! I know you like it! You don’t have to say anything! Heh heh…” she is clearly embarrassed. 

You love it all the same.

You pick up the bag and place your items in it.

Inventory:

- Magic book (0 uses)
- Gloves (warm)
- Crystalline darts (x2)
- Chocolate bar (x2)

What do?

>A) Show Rainbow affection and appreciation for the gift.
>B) Inquire about Rarity some more.
>C) Talk to Pinkie Pie.
>D) Check the house once more.
>E) That’ll do it. Let’s find Rarity.


CHOICE A

You reach up and grab Rainbow, pulling her closely to you. She looks at you and blushes.

“A-anon!” she says. You pull her into a big bear hug. 

“I love it, Rainbow.” You whisper into her ear. “It means a lot to me. Thank you.” 

Rainbow Dash laughs nervously at first, but then she returns the hug.

Pinkie then joins in with a giant hug of her own.

What do?

>A) That’ll do it. Let’s go.
>B) Check the house once more.
>C) Talk to Pinkie Pie.


CHOICE B (I’m gonna bump it up to 5 votes now that we have a lot more people participating.)

You throw your shoes on and put your bag on your back. After a bit of stretching, you feel your stomach churn.

“Mmm…” you say. “Maybe we should search the house one more time? Maybe to find any clues. Or food….”

Pinkie and Rainbow nod and head downstairs. You follow behind them. Straight to the kitchen that is. 

You rummage through the kitchen and find a few more chocolate bars and a bottle of water. You eat the chocolate and chug the water. You feel way better! 

You rummage through a bit more and find some hay, some celery, and a large pumpkin. None of which sound appealing to you.

Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash return to the kitchen with a few items of their own:

- An old mirror.
- A bag of bear food.
- A wooly scarf. 
- A comb with long pink hair stuck in it.
- Three (3) more chocolate bars

What keep? 

>A) None of it.
>B) Mirror and Bear food.
>C) Scarf and Comb.
>D) Chocolate Bars.

CHOICE B

You take the large bag of bear food and mirror and put it in your bag. Pinkie proceeds to eat all of the chocolate, and Rainbow gets rid of the other items. 

You are now ready to take on Rarity… you think….

Man, you kinda wish you could have just remained an outkast. Hey yah.

You check the clock one last time.

9:55pm.

Well, it’s now or never. The three of you exit the cottage, being sure to lock it. The air is cold and harsh. There is also a lot more snow than you remember…. No matter, you must press forward. You notice that it is rather dark outside; there are fewer stars in the night sky. It’s probably your imagination.

The three of you follow the path up to Ponyville, being alert of any unusual activity. The town was quite desolate. It’s almost as is if the residents evacuated or something….

You reach the center of town. You notice the same familiar fountain from earlier. Everything else seemed normal. Pinkie points the direction where Carousel Boutique was located. There was no doubt Rarity was there. It would take another half hour to get there, as the snow was becoming unforgiving.

What do?

>A) Take a minute to rest.
>B) Talk to: Rainbow or Pinkie.
>C) Check Inventory.
>D) Press on.


CHOICE D

No time for lollygaggin’. 

You instruct the others to keep alert for anything out of the ordinary. There’s no telling what could be waiting for you out here. 

The snow seems to pick up more and more with each passing minute. You advised Rainbow to stick to walking with you and Pinkie. Flying in this weather is dangerous.

The snow picks up more and more still. You feel like you’ve barely made any progress. Pinkie and Rainbow are struggling to keep up with you. 

If you don’t pick up the pace, the weather may best you. But… you can’t leave Pinkie and Rainbow behind. 

You hear the wind get louder and louder…

The air becomes colder….


The ground starts to freeze around you, encircling you in an ice shield.

You look up and see a large phantasm flying above. 

Rainbow Dash flies up to hit it, but she simply phases through it. Pinkie Pie starts to chuck snowballs at it. The creature is only getting angrier as the ice becomes thicker and thicker. 

What do!?

>A) Try to Run!
>B) Defend?
>C) Attack!


CHOICE B

You reach into your bag and take the gloves out. Their warmth is especially obvious in this weather. You slip them on quickly and they form to your fingers. 

Uh…

“Shit.” You say. You don’t actually know how these work! You look over and see Pinkie’s legs becoming ensnared in ice. Rainbow Dash is still trying to attack the beast, but to no avail. The wind will damage her wings at any second. 

You stare at the gloves. They are warm, but still nothing happens. The crest on them remains dim. The large creature swoops upwards and sends a hailstorm down your way, bringing Rainbow with it. You dodge out the way, but Rainbow Dash hits the ground hard. Pinkie Pie is almost entirely encased in ice. 

What do?

>A) Give Rainbow the gloves, maybe she can do something?
>B) Use the gloves on Pinkie, get her out of the ice.
>C) Flee, leave them behind.
>D) Try to fiddle with the gloves more.


CHOICE B

You run over to Pinkie as fast as you can. 

“Anon!” she yells. “This is no fun! No fun at all!!” You begin to panic. You have to try something! Anything!

As the ice slowly engulfs her neck, you notice it begin to freeze your legs. You swipe at the ice in an attempt to break it. It’s no use, the ice is as hard as rock.

“Dammit!” you yell. “What do I do!?” Why won’t these gloves work!?” You form a fist and punch the ice repeatedly. You are becoming far angrier than is necessary… or safe. You punch the ice surrounding Pinkie over and over. At this rate, you will break your fingers. But you don’t care… you have to try something. You punch the ice harder even. It begins to crack!

“ARGH!” you yell, as you punch the ice even harder. The gloves begin to shine and the heat engulfs your body. You punch the ice one last time, breaking it away from Pinkie Pie.

The creature realizes your successful attempt, and charges at you. The ice has melted away from your legs. You feel as if you are on fire.

What do?

>A) One on One. Let’s go.
>B) Flee with Pinkie and Rainbow.
>C) Stand your ground, defend!


CHOICE A

The creature darts at you at full speed, leaving a trail of ice in its wake. You step back and prepare to give it your all. Your gloves shine even brighter, you feel its warmth give you strength. The creature gets closer and closer to you….

“ARRRGGGHH!!!!!” you scream, rearing your fist and throwing it forward. You feel your fist collide with the creatures face, sending it straight into the ground. You hear the creature moan in agony, but it gets up and darts at you again. You run towards it as quickly as you can, the ice melting with each step. You put your hands out and grab the creatures snout, and squeeze it with all of your might. You see it squirm in pain, but you don’t let up. 

You throw it over your head and slam it into the ground. As it hits the ground you rear up another punch and send your fist flying into its body.

Upon contact, you see your fist ignite. You pull your fist back and step forward. 

The creature lies there, not moving.

What do?

>A) Finish him.
>B) Check to see if it’s alive.
>C) Check on Rainbow and Pinkie.


CHOICE A

You pick up your hands and hold them over your head. You close your eyes and strike your fists down full force.

But before you hit the creature, you are knocked backwards with a hit to the face. You roll backwards and hit the fountain with full force. You’re down but not out. You get up quickly to see your attacker. 

There’s no one in sight.

The creature is gone, and the wind begins to calm down. You scan the area, awaiting an ambush. You head over to the spot where the creature was. Nothing. Except…

You kneel down and pick up a yellow feather.

What do?

>A) Search for the creature.
>B) Check on your friends.

CHOICE B

You put the feather in your bag and rush over to where your friends are.

Pinkie Pie was helping Rainbow Dash get up. You immediately go to Rainbow’s side and help her up. 

“Ouch! Ouch ouch!” Rainbow screams. “My wing!” You gently pick Rainbow Dash up and carry her over to a bench. Pinkie Pie follows closely behind you.

You lay Rainbow down slowly, careful not to irritate her wing. You peer over at it. It was a little ruffled, but it didn’t look broken. 

“What hurts about it, Rainbow?” you ask. 

“Ugh… the whole thing… I got hit hard…” she replies, rubbing her wing gently. “I’m… I’m ok, Anon. Come on, we need to get out of here.”

What say?

>A) No way. We need to find shelter. You’re injured!
>B) Fine, let’s go.
>C) Ask Pinkie Pie what to do.


CHOICE C

“Pinkie Pie, what should we do?” you ask. Pinkie Pie scratches her chin and thinks hard.

“Well…” she says. “Whatever was controlling that Windigo… that’s what attacked us by the way… whatever was controlling it might still be nearby, or ready to ambush us at any minute. But if we run fast enough, maybe we can make it Rarity’s before that can happen! OR! Maybe we can ambush the ambushee first! We can set up a camp spot, and wait for the attacker to come back! But wait… then Rarity may not be at her place anymore…. Oh I GOT IT! We all split up! Rainbow can go back and rest, I can go eat some chocolate, and you can go ambush the ambushee that may ambush us again!”


…

What do?

>A) Ignore all of that. We need to heal Rainbow.
>B) Ignore all of that. Let’s press forward.
>C) Yeah… yeah you’re makin’ a bit of sense there….


CHOICE B

“Yeah…” you say. “Let’s just press forward.”

RD LP: 63

You help Rainbow up to her hooves. She stretches a bit, paying close mind to her wings.

“Yeah, that’s the stuff!” she says. “I told ya I’m alright!” 

“You’re tough Rainbow Dash, I’ll give you that.” You say. She punches you in stomach playfully. 

“I’m tough? You’re the one that just smashed apart a Windigo! How did you even do that!?” 
You look at you hands. The gloves were warm and still shining. You didn’t know if the anger helped, but these gloves have more to them than meets the eye. 

“It’s these gloves, Rainbow.” You say. “The ones I found in Fluttershy’s cottage. They are really warm, like warmer than normal. I wish I understood them more.” 

Pinkie Pie grabs your hands and examines the gloves. 

“Hmm…. They have Celestia’s crest on them!” she sings. You pull your hands back and look at them again. 

“Celestia… is she the Princess I keep hearing about?” you ask. Pinkie nods furiously. You swear, she is a danger to herself. 

“So… these gloves might NOT be so good then…” you say.

What do?

>A) We need to research these gloves more. To the Library!
>B) I’ll get angry when I need them. That’s all I need to do. To the Boutique!
>C) Ask Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.


CHOICE A

“It’s of crucial importance that we find out more about these gloves.” You say, as you slide them off. “We need to head to the Library. If anything, I can recharge this book and ask it some questions about the gloves.”

Rainbow Dash eyes you oddly. 

“You’re going to put all of your faith in this book?” she asks bluntly. “We should just hurry up and head over to Rarity’s. I don’t want to go looking for anymore trouble than I have to.” You put the gloves back in your bag.

“We’ll only go there for a few minutes. We shouldn’t find any trouble there as long as we make it quick and easy. Besides, you should really rest up your wing. I don’t want anything else to happen to you.” Rainbow rolls her eyes. 

“Fine… let’s make this quick.” She trots off in the direction of the Library. 

“Anon…” you hear Pinkie say. “Do you have any more chocolate on you? I wasn’t kidding about me eating some.” 

You reach in to your bag and give her a bar.

…


The walk to Twilight’s Library was accident free. This also translates into being very boring. Rainbow Dash was walking quickly ahead, not talking to you. Pinkie Pie was skipping happily beside you, back in her suit of armor. 

ETA to the Library would be about 10 minutes, according to Pinkie.

What do?

>A) Chat with Pinkie.
>B) Walk quietly.
>C) Try to chat with Rainbow.
>D) Check Inventory.


CHOICE C

You walk a bit faster and catch up with Rainbow. She gives you a small smile, but maintains walking quickly forward.

You manage to keep up with Rainbow’s pace, but she still didn’t seem interested in talking much.

“Rainbow, I…” you start. “Are you… uh… okay? You feeling better?”

“Yup.”

Good start. Good start.

“Are you mad at me for some reason?” you ask.

“Nope.”

Progress people. Progress.

“Sorry we couldn’t stop. But if we learn anything at all about these gloves, it’ll help us in the long run. Plus, you wing needs a break.”

“Whatever, Anon.” She picks up her pace a bit more. You turn an see Pinkie skipping happily, still following you.

You’re starting to get a bit frustrated.

“Is there something I can do for you? I just want to make sure you’re alright, Rainbow.”

“You can make this quick, alright?”

That’s it. You go ahead of her and stop. She glares at you, but you don’t care. 

“…Hey… hey! Listen, I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings by deciding for everyone, but I genuinely think that this is the best choice.” She glares at you further. “I know you don’t like being treated like a kid, but Rainbow I care about you, dammit. When you’re hurt, I know you’re hurt.” 

She looks at the ground and blushes. She rubs her snout with her hoof, still not making eye contact. 

“I’m… I’m sorry…” she says. “You’re right. You do care a lot about me. I shouldn’t be so stubborn all the time….” She steps forwards and gives you a hug. You happily return the hug.

“Alright, let’s press forward, Anon!” she says, letting you go.

After another few minutes, you arrive at the Library. Which at first you though was a joke because it was simply a large tree. 

These ponies is crazy.

What do?

>A) Enter through the front.
>B) Send somepony in.
>C) Search for a sneak entrance.
>D) Inventory check.



CHOICE A

“You know… Spike could be in there.” Rainbow says. “He will probably just let us in.” She trots over the door and gives it a few knocks.

You and Pinkie head over and wait with Rainbow for this “Spike” to answer the door. 

“Is Spike a pony?” you ask. Pinkie snorts out a laugh.

“He might as well be!” she says loudly. Good thing this wasn’t an espionage mission or anything. 

“So he isn’t?” you ask. Pinkie shakes her head.

“He’s a dragon!” 

She didn’t just say dragon.

No. No way she did.

Rainbow knocks again. Awaiting an answer. After a few seconds, you hear the door unlock and slowly open. Standing in the doorway was a small purple dragon. A very small purple dragon in fact. You felt much better. 

“R-rainbow?” the dragon replies. He must have been asleep. “What are you doing here? Pinkie? And… who’s this funny-looking thing?”

“Hey, Spike. We need to look for something in the Library. Can you let us in? It’s kinda cold out here.” Rainbow says, giving a fake shiver.

“What are you looking for exactly?” Spike asks. Rainbow turns to you and shrugs.

What say?

>A) Tell him the truth. We’re trying to recharge an enchanted book.
>B) Tell him we are trying to just get warm for a bit.
>C) Tell him nothing. Just let us in, Spike!




CHOICE A

“Spike,” you say. “My name is Anon. I’m a friend of Twilight’s, and everyp0ny else. We’re here to recharge an enchanted book that Twilight lent me. I want to give it back to her in the condition she gave it to me.” 

Spike eyes you carefully. You give him a toothy grin to show him that you are docile and friendly. He shrugs.

“Alright, just don’t make too much noise. I’m heading back to bed.” He turns around and yawns. “Just lock the door when you leave.”

Score!

“Thanks, Spike!” you say. Rainbow leads the way in, followed closely by you and Pinkie. The library is massive, way larger on the inside than the outside shows. There are books and books everywhere, on shelves, on the ground, everywhere.

There really is no easy way to go from here. You take out the small book.

What do?

>A) Search with your friends.
>B) Instruct Rainbow to go rest, you and Pinkie will search.
>C) Ask Spike where this book may have belonged.


CHOICE C

“I’ll go ask Spike where this book may have belonged.” You say. You slowly walk up the stairs, being careful not to make too much noise.

You reach what looks like Twilight’s and Spike’s room. The door is left ajar, but there was a light coming from the inside.

What do?

>A) Knock.
>B) Sneak in.
>C) Leave.

CHOICE A

You knock gently on the door. You hear a bunch of papers shuffle and few things fall on the ground. 

“What? WHAT!?” you hear  Spike yell. You hear footsteps, followed by the door opening quickly. Spike stands in front of you, sweating slightly.

“Why are you sweaty?” you ask.

[spoiler] FUNMODE: “I was watching Cops…” Spike admits. [/spoiler]

“I… I get scared when someone wakes me up. What do you even want?” he says rudely.

“I wanted to know if you knew anything about this book.” You show him the small book. He scans it quickly.

“I don’t know anything about that book. Now GOOD NIGHT.” He says as he shuts the door in your face.

What do?

>A) Leave.
>B) Wait a bit, then sneak in.
>C) Knock again.


CHOICE A

Well that was rude of him. You turn and head back downstairs. You see Rainbow sitting by the window eating a bar of chocolate and Pinkie rummaging through all of the bookshelves. 

What do?

>A) Search with Pinkie.
>B) Talk with Rainbow.
>C) Ask Rainbow to help. 
>D) Search by yourself.


CHOICE A

You walk over by Pinkie, prepared to help her search.

“Any luck?” you ask. 

“It would be waaaaaay easier if the book had a title.” Pinkie says. She had a point. You look at the book again. There was still nothing on it.

“Maybe if we check an section on enchantments?” you suggest. Pinkie nods and skips over to another section of the bottom floor. You follow her gripping the book tightly. 

There was even more books in this section of the library. You felt like that was a lost cause.

What do?

>A) Man up. Let’s search.
>B) Fiddle with the book some.
>C) Talk to Pinkie.
>D) Head back.


CHOICE B

Pinkie begins to tell the story of how she got the nickname “Pinkie.” Honestly, you weren’t listening. This book is the main focus of your mind right now.

You pretend you’re listening to Pinkie whilst you try to pry the book open.

Nothing.

It’s sealed shut. 

“Come on… help me out…” you think. You rattle the book a little bit like an old spray paint can. “Please help me.”

The book vibrates gently. Your heart skips a beat. 

“Please. Help me out.” You think again. The book vibrates again, this time pulling itself towards the exit. It feels as if you’re pulling a magnet. You go with it, being sure not to let go. 

Pinkie is still speaking as you leave. You feel bad about leaving, but you have to remain focused on this book. 

It pulls you through a long series of twists and turns before it finally leads you to a door on the opposite side of the library.  The book vibrates harshly as you approach the door.

What do?

>A) Open it.
>B) Go back and get help.
CHOICE B (FOR SURE)

You need to head back and get some backup. The book pulls you harder towards the door. 

“Rainbow! Pinkie!” you yell. “Get over here!” You struggle with the book more while you wait for your friends to show up. 

The book doesn’t relent one bit. You feel your grip slipping. 

“Hurry!” you shout again. Pinkie and Rainbow then rush to your aid. They grab you by your waist and pull you backwards.

“An… Anon!” Rainbow yells. “Let go of the book!”

You feel yourself inch closer and closer. The door begins to creak open.

What do?

>A) Let go!
>B) Let it take you.


CHOICE B

The door opens entirely. You can’t see what lies on the other side. A blinding white light emits from the book as it pulls you closer and closer into the door. A similar light forms in the doorway. It becomes brighter and brighter as you get closer to it. You close your eyes, still pulling backwards.

“Let it go!!!!” Pinkie screams.

It was too late. The book wrenches the three of you forward into the room. A blinding white light surrounds you.

…


…


You feel nothingness around you. No book pulling from you. No Pinkie and Rainbow holding you. You can’t open your eyes. All you see is the darkness of your closed eyelids. 

You can’t move your body. You can’t feel anything.

You aren’t anything. 

There is nothing anymore.

You can hear though.

You hear many voices at once.

You focus in on one voice.

What do you hear?

>A) The gloves… they…
>B) Unity… unity is…
>C) Loyalty can… loyalty can…
>D) You… Anon… are…

CHOICE B (and A, because I owe you all one.)

You hear the voice. It is smooth. Velvety.

Like a fine-tuned harp.

Its melody rings in your mind, in your being:

“Unify the six with your heart. Hold them close and dear. Remember why you are here.”

“Loyalty to others and Determination will give you the fire to succeed. The fire is in the palm of your hands.”

The melody stops.

The voices vanish.

…

…

You can move!

You open your eyes slowly. You are on the ground. You body feels weak and spaghetti-like, but you are ok. You see Rainbow and Pinkie on the ground as well.

What do?

>A) Help Pinkie and Rainbow.
>B) Shut your eyes, don’t overwork yourself.
>C) Search for the book.


CHOICE A

You push yourself off of the ground. Your head feels a bit woozy, but you are all right. You run over to Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, who are also coming back into consciousness. You kneel at their side, putting your hands on both of their backs. They feel warm, full of life.

“You guys ok?” you ask. They both shift slowly.

“Whoa… never better! Wheee…..” says Pinkie Pie.

“A-Ok, chief.” Says Rainbow Dash, giving you a weak smile.

“What an ordeal.” You say. “Did you guys experience anything… weird?”

They shake their heads as they sit up next to you. 

“All I remember is holding on to you, and then… here I am….” Rainbow says. “What happened, Anon?” 

What say?

>A) Tell them of the voices.
>B) Yeah… darkness, too. 
>C) Say nothing.


CHOICE A

“Well…” You begin.

…

You inform them of the voices, the sudden realization of Unity, and how to use the Gloves.

“This… this seems so weird.” Pinkie blurts out. “Like… it’s not really happening. But we really do have to save our friends don’t we? To Unify all of us?”

“That’s what it seems.” You say, getting up slowly. “We need to find Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy. We need to return them to Harmony. Then we must find Twilight, and do the same for her.” 

You help the two ponies up. 

“This… this is going to get harder, isn’t it?” Rainbow Dash asks. 

“This hasn’t been easy at all.” You reply. “I only expect it to get harder. But we can’t waste anymore time. Let’s head over to Rarity’s. We got what we needed from here. Are you two okay to travel?”

“Always ready, captain!” Pinkie shouts, once again in her armor of champions.

“I’m always ready, Anon.” Rainbow says, giving you a gentle punch. “As long as I’m with you, that is.”

You smile at her. 

“I just wish you would let me come inside that big head of yours!”

Not yet, Rainbow…. Not yet….
