Interlude 3

“I thought you were going to take care of him!?” 

“I… I have failed you Princess….” Twilight responds, her head down in shame. “He was… he was too powerful. I couldn’t hurt him!” 

“And why do you think that is, you insolent little creature?”

“He… he was just….”

“It is clear that he has built an immensely powerful bond with Rainbow Dash. As it stands, there is but one of us left. If you want to stand a chance, you are going to have to corrupt the one he cares about the most.”

Twilight looks up to her master, her eyes widened.

“But… but what if I can’t succeed, Princess?” Twilight asks, a hint of fear in her voice. The Princess walks over to a closed chest on the other side of the room. Twilight follows slowly in her wake. 

“You will not fail me again, Twilight Sparkle.” The Princess replies whilst reaching into the ornate chest. “You shall take this staff. It is one of my personal favorites…. With it, you are unstoppable.” She throws the staff to Twilight, who catches it with her own magical aura. “Failure will not be accepted again. Do you understand me?”

Twilight nods and bows slowly.

“I will not fail you, Princess Celestia.”
