"[NON MMP] Aperture Enrichment Horse" By Hexus (https://pastebin.com/u/Hexus) URL: https://pastebin.com/hBF6QyDs Created on: Wednesday 4th of October 2017 05:02:42 PM CDT Retrieved on: Saturday 31 of October 2020 04:19:06 AM UTC A voice piped through megaphones in the ceiling as the door shuts behind you while you rub the sleep from your eyes. Your sleep-addled brain listened only vaguely. It felt like you had been sleeping forever. "Hello, and again, welcome to the Aperture Science Computer-Aided Enrichment Center. You-y-OO-oo've been asleep for a long time in the relaxation vault. Please feel free to carefully stretch to ensure all limbs are functioning properly. In this, we will be using trust exercises with a fellow subject. Please-PLEEase-please proceed to the next room to introduce you to your companion." Blue lights on the the circular door turned orange as it unsealed and opened with a click and a whoosh. You peered inside to find an empty room with another door to the side and a chute affixed to the ceiling. You shuffled inside without much to do. The room was a lounge of sorts. There was a couch with blue material for cushions Spartan and simple. "With space-aged, hyper-efficient relaxation couches!" you recall the advertisement saying as you signed up. There was a coffee table in front of the couch, both out of place in the otherwise very bleached room besides the lingering dust that seemed to cover the floor (but not the catches, thankfully). The other door was the same locked blue color as before. "From your entry examinations we have found that the standard companion cube tests, are insufficient." You could hear something coming down the pipe above you and you stood clear of it. "Instead, we have provided you with a more suitable testing companion for the program." At last a limp body plopped out in a heap. A broken one of those defense robots you saw advertisements for? No... you recognized this shape as it unfolded itself and sat onto its haunches. A clean, alabaster white like most of the room, the quadrupedal figure flicked its tail with gentle, whining motors as its ears twitched, wound, and shifted. It stood up on all fours, hooves touching the floor with polite clicks. Finally, it opened its eyes, fluttering its long eyelashes. Its irises were the same pale yellow sheen like the the glowing mark on its chest. "So good going, you horsefucker," the voice concluded.Since when were the scientists so callous? You raise a hand to protest, but the voice continued, uncaring. "Say hello, to Carolyn." The machine stared at you calmly with a confident smile as you awkwardly greeted the mechanized horse. "Uh, hello... Carolyn?" "Say hello, Carolyn," the voice in the speakers chimed in. "Wha-" you blinked suddenly at the request. The machine in front of you whirred as shutters clinked across the eye. It tossed its head and threw its long mane. "Hello," it said in a softer version of the voice from the speakers. "She will be your testing partner. Take care of her," the voice commanded. For a moment you thought you heard a little inflection of personality in it but if it was being emotional, it didn't care to let you think on it. "The tests will begin in 3...2...1..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsHcN4pG9H0 -----Test 1------
