>"Wait, I thought you said magic didn't exist in your world. How would you know what a 'Stand' is if there was no magic to manifest it."
"Admittedly, I'm getting my information from a... Comic book, bu-"

"There are other rules, such as Automatic Stands not having their power and range restricted, but being uncontrollable by the user or only under certain conditions..."
"But what makes me most nervous about the prospects of having a Stand is one, and only one, rule..."
"Stand users, by fate, destiny, luck, the stars, whatever you prefer to call it, are BOUND to meet."
>"And what's so scary about that?"
"Hmm?"
>"Y'all say that as if these 'Stand' things are bad. What's the worst that could happen?"
"First off, NEVER say that phrase. You are just tempting fate to fuck with you."

"Second, Stand powers are individual to the user and there are no physical limits to what they are capable of."
>"So what, someone could have a Stand that... I don't know, erases time?"

>Starlight reels from how fast and bluntly you answer
"They can also reverse time, skip back in time to a certain point, fast forward time... The point is, there is NOTHING that Stands can't achieve."
>You lean on the map and rub your forehead, trying your best to calm down
"Look, I'm not trying to scare you or anything, as even I'm not 100% sure what I have is a Stand. All I ask is that you be on the lookout for... bizarre events."
>"Bizarre events? Like that whole exposition dump you just gave? Or like the stone-thingy that gave you powers going missing?"
"Exposition du-"
>Wait-
"What did you say went missing Pinkie?"
>"Oh yeah, the stone thing that Starlight used to get your thingy out of your chest!"

>You overheard something about that before you called the meeting

>You're honestly not sure how to feel
"Question Twilight."

"Could something like a soulstone be made to give someone powers?"
>"Well, it would take advanced knowledge of enchanting and soul manipulation to do, bu-"
>She pauses and realizes what you're getting at
>"B-but nopony would actually do that, would they?"
"*sigh* I'm not sure. I'm hoping it isn't that. However, I'd rather find out sooner than later if that's the case."
>Starlight looks at you
>"So... What, we're just supposed to start looking for a soulstone that someone must have enchanted? All so no one has to suffer the effects of these powers you call Stands that you know of from a comic book?"
>You had to admit, to someone who didn't know what Stands were, or what they were capable of, this all might seem a bit silly
>"Yeah, come on Anon. That's probably not even a Stand you're using. I mean really, how could gravity manipulation or whatever it is you do be useful if it's restricted to within Saturn's Children's orbit?"
"Well-"

"Rainbow, could you repeat that?"

>That was when the door opened...
>With Rainbow Dash flying in
>You quickly withdraw your Stand, ready to defend yourself and everyone else

>Before you can utter any sort of advice, a purple beam of magic shoots straight into the Old Rainbow
>New Rainbow dodges before it can hit
>The beam finally dissipates, leaving behind...

>That's shaped like a pony

>But how did it look like Rainb-
>A charred, but still in-one-piece cyan feather falls to the floor

>Rainbow is looking upon this scene, utterly flabbergasted

>"She notices the cloud-being charge up some electricity
>Some PURPLE electricity
>Should probably stop that
>She bumrushes the cloud before it can stomp its hoof down, presumably to send the shockwave through the map to all the ponies touching it
>Knocking the cloud over, she notices only too late that the source of the electricity's purple hue, a purple stone, flies out of the cloud
>The cloud dissipates, leaving...
>...A feather?
>Unbeknownst to her, that stone that had been knocked out of the cloud was flying towards Pinkie
>"OOOOOOOOH. Wha-"
>The stone lands on Pinkie-
>Delivering the charge that was intended for the map straight to her
>"AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEE-"
>The stone explodes into a flurry of tiny shards
>Pinkie's head slams into the back of her throne, before it falls onto the map, unresponsive
>"PINKIIIEEE!"
>Twilight rushes to Pinkie's side, attempting to resuscitate her, unsuccessfully
>You get up and stagger, attempting to recollect your thoughts
>You see Rainbow holding a feather in her hoof, her face smoldering in rage, before rising and dashing towards the door
>"Where is thAT FAT SACK OF SHI-"
>Before she gets the chance to search for the intruder, magic wraps around her and stops her before she can get out the door
>You notice the magic coming from Starlight
>"Rainbow, calm down! Running into this headfirst isn't going to help us."
>Rainbow struggles against the magic
>"LET ME GO, LET ME GO!"
>"Rainbow, nothing about this is going to be solved by you throwing yourself at the enemy. Now CALM DOWN!"
>You set up Saturn's Children directly in front of her, knowing she won't do anything of the sort
>She slows herself, eventually stopping and staying still
>"Are you done, Rainbow Dash?"
>"*sigh* Yes," she states blandly, rolling her eyes
>You charge up Saturn's Children to full power, knowing what was to come next
>Starlight lets go of her and-
>"Hah! You think I'd stop chasing after that-"
>Yup, she's about to fly off-
>-And as soon as she enters the orbit of your Stand, she zips back down, hitting the map with great force
>After a minute, she groans in pain and raises her head
"You done?"
>She rubs her head
>"Yeah."
>"OK Anon, say we all believe this here Stand theory o' yers. Where do we go from here?"
"Well, the best idea would be to stay together, considering it seems to be able replicate anyone's looks and voice."
>"Perhaps these feathers might have something to do with it," Rarity says, both Rainbow's charred feather and the mystery feather in her magical grip
"Exactly what I was thinking."
>"Wait, how can a cloud do that?" Fluttershy asks.
>Maybe the user is still inside the castle
>It was pretty goddamn big
>Still though, it might be Automatic, whoever did this could be in another country for all you knew
>Shit, if only there was a way to draw them out

>Twilight gets you and everyone's attention, and you see that she has an unconcious Pinkie slung over her back, her head bandaged

>Now thanks to Anon, you've nearly been found out, and you wouldn't be surprised if he's already gathered your Stand's abilities
>So it was time to take him out
>You should still have one of Soarin's feathers in your bag
>You place in the cloud, allowing the Stand's secondary effect to activate, and transforming it into a perfect replica of Soarin
>"Whaddya want, Wind?"
"I want you to go and take care of that Anon guy. He knows a lot about Stands, and I don't want him ratting me out."
>"Yeah, sure, whatever."
>He flies off towards the castle, and you rub your hooves together.
>This will be your end, Rainbow Dash
>And unfortunately, yours too, Anon
