They find themselves waking up the next morning with their ship having just about made it back to the Mansion. 06[15:09] * Leeroy wakes with a start [15:09] ugh... [15:10] freaking monsters... 06[15:13] * Lyonel stands at the controls, overlooking the map of the world. 06[15:13] * Estel sits by himself against the wall 01[15:15] The map shows the little forest clearing, with the red crosshair, not terribly far from the little spaceship icon. Any penguin who could do multiplication or division, or with a good enough eye, could tell that the ship would be arriving in maybe five minutes tops. 06[15:24] * Lyonel walks over to a window to look at the scenery. 01[15:26] It's a total sea of green out there. You can see bird Pokemon like Pidgey and Pidgeotto shooting out of the trees panickedly as the spaceship rockets by, along with a couple of purple monkeys sticking their heads out to look at it. 01[15:27] Before long, however, the ship eventually drops down into the dirt Colosseum, and the "Grow" button lights up. A button with bacon also lights up, too. 06[15:27] * Lyonel hits the "Grow" button, not giving a fuck about extras 03[15:29] * TheBMW is now known as Marianne 01[15:29] And not a single fuck was given as the green light starts zapping everybody to their normal size... He takes a sip of the coffee from his mug, which boasts a sadfaced Gengar and the arbitrarily placed caption 'I'm Not Evil - Just Misunderstood'. "I take it your return is accompanied by good news?" [15:41] Yes, I... the Sages in Tecmor are gone. 06[15:41] * Marianne looks pretty sad saying that. [15:42] But, there's more to it... they're planning to siege you. He pulls up a map, "There's Minerva and Sigfried, neither of whom are priorities at the moment due to their incompetence and reclusiveness." 06[16:05] * Marianne giggles slightly. [16:06] Yeah, Minerva didn't seem completely right... who else? [16:07] there was so much wrong with that city [16:07] I don't even know where to start 01[16:08] <@Botherer> "Bruce is the Sage of Willpower... He and the disciples that are raised beneath him condition themselves in the mountains, which are known to be far less hospitable and more uninhabitable than even Midnight Citadel. Their resolve, should they be given the upper hand, would be highly ferocious..." 06[16:08] * Leeroy clenches his fist [16:08] so they're the fighters? 01[16:09] <@Botherer> "I've visited on previous occasions, though it was quite some time ago... We'll take this into the spaceship since it seems everyone else has already removed themselves from it." 01[16:20] <@Botherer> Darius enters the spaceship. 06[16:22] * Leeroy follows Darius to talk for awhile 06[16:23] * Estel decides to relax under a tree 06[16:25] * Marianne stays out in the main garden of the mansion with her Pokemon, resting underneath Pecha's flower. 01[16:28] <@Botherer> Meanwhile, in Canyon City, land of the Not-So-Falling Rocks... An armor-plated penguin waddles on in, his intents known only to himself. 06[16:29] * Lyonel checks the canyon walls to see if he could jump them or scale them. 01[16:29] <@Botherer> The walls seem stable enough. Hell, they were stable enough that a twenty nine foot long sea serpent was able to collapse onto them without sending the whole city tumbling down. [16:30] Fuck it. 06[16:30] * Lyonel attempts to jump up the battlements. 01[16:31] <@Botherer> *SPROING* Lyonel launches himself into the air, and in a single bound has effortlessly ascended to the second tier. 06[16:32] * Lyonel does this until he has reached the museum again. 01[16:35] <@Botherer> Lyonel manages to scale his way up to the Museum effortlessly, including a cross-canyon leap if he was on the wrong side. Inside, he finds Minerva talking to the museum "guard"... And by "guard", clearly I mean the timid girl whose Quagsire got its shit rocked hard by Lyonel not too long ago. 06[16:36] * Lyonel waddles. "Ladies." 01[16:38] <@Botherer> The timid guard audibly "Eep!"s when Lyonel appears, then hides herself behind a magazine titled "Rock Fashion". 01[16:39] <@Botherer> Minerva, however, pops her head back up and looks at the penguin intrigued. "Oh, it's you again... That penguin who sold us those replacement orbs..." [16:40] Myes. Did they pass the quality control? 01[16:40] <@Botherer> She motions her hand over towards the display cases. "They proved to be a perfect fit." 01[16:41] <@Botherer> There's still two holes missing, though. [16:41] So, what's been happening these last few days? 01[16:43] <@Botherer> "Digging... Lots and lots of digging." She motions to the fossils on display, which are much more plentiful than before. One can only wonder how she managed to fit all of the new ones in the display case. [16:44] I've heard they found a rarer fossil, merely minutes ago. It might be something you'd want to check out. 01[16:46] <@Botherer> "If you would be so kind as to escort me..." She extends her hand out to the penguin. [16:47] Er, unfortunately, they wouldn't want me anywhere near them. Said I was a bit too large for the site they found it in. 01[16:48] <@Botherer> "Then directions would at least be useful... You do want to be useful, right?" [16:49] Well, of course. It's down about where the others found you last time. 01[16:51] <@Botherer> "Very well, then... I expect to be returning with the fossil in hand... If not carried in by the bird..." [16:51] Awesome. 01[16:53] <@Botherer> Minerva then waltzes out. The timid guard peeks out from beneath the magazine as she leaves, then quickly retreats. 06[16:54] * Lyonel looks at the guard. "So, you gonna stop me again, or...?" 01[16:55] <@Botherer> "Umm... No, sir... Not at all." Clearly she learned from last time. 06[16:57] * Lyonel knocks on the table before going over to the orbs. "Tell them The Tropius took the orbs." 01[16:58] <@Botherer> Another "Eeep!", this one just a bit louder, is heard from the girl as she hides beneath the table. 06[16:59] * Lyonel gets ready to swipe some balls. 01[17:02] <@Botherer> They set up the same old "stuck into a rock" thing as before. Wait, is that crazy glue in there?!? 01[17:04] <@Botherer> The crazy glue is quite durable... What kind of bonding agent did they even use in there?!? Lyonel wore himself out a fair bit in the process, and his flippers are a little bit cracked and jagged now. 01[17:05] <@Botherer> But he's now got more balls in his hands than he knows what to do with all of them. 06[17:05] * Lyonel packs the orbs away and walks out. "Y'know, I almost feel sorry for your job." 01[17:09] <@Botherer> The timid girl peeks back out from beneath the desk. "... What are you sorry for?" "Tell me, what do you desire the most in a Pokemon, performance wise?" 06[17:21] * Estel thinks for a moment [17:23] To be able to kill things quickly, or at least remove the problem quickly. 06[17:27] * Lyonel searches around in his leaf-bag thing and plops a blue sphere on the ground in front of Estel. [17:30] True. 06[17:30] * Estel picks up the blue orb 01[17:34] <@Botherer> When Estel picks up the orb, he can feel a powerful rush of wind blowing about within it. He quickly punches two indented holes into the Gauntlet, the holes looking like slots that could be filled with crystals. 06[18:22] * Estel slips off his gauntlet and hands it over as well 01[18:23] <@Botherer> "While the Gauntlet may not be powerful enough to sustain them all at any one time, it should at least prove convenient to be able to carry more at any one time." It's at this point that they begin to glow, and in one of them materializes an amber crystal. 06[18:31] * Lyonel inspects the crystal with a worried look. "The hell've you done?" 01[18:31] <@Botherer> Lyonel might notice at this moment that Aegis is missing. [18:32] And where did that thing go now?! 06[18:34] * Lyonel pokes Darius in the stomach. "Are you out of your bloody mind?!" 01[18:35] <@Botherer> "I believe you'll find this to your liking in the future..." 06[18:36] * Lyonel throws his flippers up in futile frustration before angrily waddling towards wherever the Broken Mountains are. "ASK me next time, you lunatic!" 06[18:39] * Marianne climbs off of Pecha and calls over Jenny, who lands in front of her. [18:39] Okay, I have an idea, but I don't know how well it'll work... 06[18:39] * Marianne takes a vine from Pecha and ties Jenny onto her back, like some sort of four-winged jetpack. [18:39] well? Let's hear it 06[18:40] * Lyonel stops and looks at Marianne. "Oh, Id almost forgotten 'bout you." He waddles towards the timid woman. [18:40] I don't know if that's comfortable at all... okay, let's fly girl! 06[18:40] * Marianne tries to fly off to the others. 06[18:40] * Estel climbs on top of Caroline, dragon is the only way to travel. [18:42] Well Once we're all ready, to the Mountains I guess 06[18:43] * Vincent is on his way aswell. he can fly, but Horses 01[18:45] <@Botherer> The Crobat flies over to the rest of the group, but... It looks REALLY strained! It barely makes it back to the rest of the group before dropping back atop Pecha, panting. 06[18:45] * Leeroy 's Metagross tucks it's legs in and floats a bit off the ground 06[18:46] * Leeroy raise an eyebrow [18:46] huh. [18:57] yeah 06[18:57] * Vincent sends out Zora and returns Rainbow, then he hops on her back 01[19:00] <@Botherer> And with that, everyone now has a flying mount. To infinity... AND BEYOND! 01[19:01] <@Botherer> The group takes off, and sets sight for the fuck huge mountain range to the northeast; even from this range, they can tell that the rocks look jagged as all hell. It would be a REALLY good idea not to crash into those any time soon. 06[19:02] * Marianne is constantly having to pull back, her Crobat being nearly doubly as fast as the others. [19:02] Looks like we shouldn't crash! 06[19:02] * Leeroy knows that crashing into rocks in no big deal. 01[19:03] <@Botherer> As they approach the mountains, they can see a bunch of small dotty figures as they come into view. Some loud and numerous squawkings 06[19:03] * Estel hopes Caroline doesn't argue with herself while they're near the cliff [19:03] This... this is amazing Jenny! [19:03] Wow! I never thought i'd f-fly! 01[19:10] <@Botherer> The dotty figures turn into birds, all flapping around a big nest. A large, brown crow with a long pink beak and red mohawk, a small eagle thingy with extremely fluffed out feathers, a small black-winged bird that appears to have never fully escaped from its egg shell... 01[19:12] <@Botherer> Another Godforsaken Skarmory, a larger, angry looking grey bird with what looks like a red bloodied beak sticking out of the top of its head, another one of them Archeops, and a demonic looking scorpion creature are all squabbling amongst each other over some weird nest. [19:13] (Group) Hang on guys! 06[19:13] * Marianne takes off towards the nest. 01[19:15] <@Botherer> As Marianne begins to get closer, it becomes clear just what the birds are all fighting over. There's a pile of eggs resting in the nest. 06[19:15] * Marianne breaks into a hover near the cluster of birds. [19:15] (Nest Group) Woah, what's going on over here? 06[19:16] * Leeroy 's Metagross slows to a stop. These are amongst the things Marianne picks up from the Pokemon. They've been at this squabble for quite some time now. [19:20] ugh what are those birds going off about? [19:20] Some sort of nest despute? 06[19:21] * Estel gets the dragon to stop flipping out and makes her fly in one spot [19:21] (Nest Group) Woah woah woah, slow down! Whose eggs ARE these? Somebody didn't just lay them here to be eaten! [19:21] (Party) They're debating over these eggs... I don't know where the mother is... 06[19:22] * Vincent blinks as he floats over [19:22] Why don't we just take them? 06[19:22] * Leeroy watches the eggs bored, and getting more bored.
