Character Generation Rules * Trainer is to be statted at TL6 * You receive a pool of 4,000 EXP which can be split as you see fit amongst up to three different Pokémon. For each of your starting Pokémon, you may select up to two different Egg Moves that the Pokémon may learn, as long as they can both normally be on the Pokémon in the videogames. (i.e. If you want your Charmander to start with Belly Drum, it may not also have Bite since none of the Pokémon who it could have Belly Drum passed down from can also learn Bite.) * Starting funds are 3,000 Poke. Anything you can buy in the handbook except for TMs are fair game. [22:08] <~sofacoin> Basically, pokeballs- and apricorns before them- put pokemon into pseudoion-koaprizene suspension. Other animals aren't susceptible. [22:08] <~sofacoin> So they're still used, yeah, but there's other ways to own a pokemon. [22:09] <~sofacoin> Also, capturing a pokemon =/= taming it, though it's pretty easy to just return a poke to its ball every time it plays up- taming does tend to be pretty easy, and can be assumed to happen during any down-time. [23:30] <~sofacoin> I've decided on the local Hotel Moscow equivalent [23:31] <~sofacoin> 'Team Mishkolt' [23:32] <~sofacoin> Mishkolt comes from 'Mishka', the Russian bear, and 'Koltso', meaning 'Ring'. [23:33] <~sofacoin> So the local version is named after a city named after a river named after a bear. [10:28] Incidentally, if anyone wants a Mangroove? They're a Sunflora-equivalent Grass/Fire type that learns Fiery Dance at level 29 and Petal Dance at 33, and Heat Wave at 45. Abilities are Chlorophyl and Rain Dish. Hidden Ability is Leaf Guard. [10:41] The symbol of Luxipur is the Sealeo, a pseudo-legendary Water/Fire. It's not available as a starter. [10:45] Luxipur's number one export are packaged noodles- the more flavour/condiment sachets, the more complimentary crackers, the more cutlery included, the better. Some 'luxury' pack noodles are basically a small meal, with real dried meat, real vegetables, seperate oil, sauce, and flavouring powder, chopsticks, and it even all comes in a cheap microwavable plastic bowl. [10:47] Luxipur also boasts, yes, crime. It's got a number of criminal teams vying for dominance, from several corners of the globe. Amongst these are Team— [11:01] Anyway, the major teams are often called 'societies', as they show some legitimacy: some even have publically-known offices, and a few are legitimate businesses that merely dabble in organized crime. [11:10] Team Volgoblast, the mainland-born Seventeen Harmonies societies and miscellaneous minor tongs, the Yakuza, the luxipore-native Heaven society, the Honoured society from Notalia and Arcaea, and severa less notable. [11:15] There've been no major political shifts of late-- the current party stayed in power (the figureheads that they are), and while the individual on the street may not feel safe, there's few who can actually be said to be miserable. As dangerous as lusipur is, it's exciting, lively, and full of pokemon trainers! [16:05] <~sofacoin> Right, let's see. You're all pat of the same courier group, a la Black Lagoon. What's the group called? [16:08] and the Krabby Kastle? [16:09] Ok, so what should the courier subsidiary of the Krabby Kastle be called? [16:09] Kingler Couriers? [16:20] <~sofacoin> I like either :3 I'm thinking the company might be a little bigger than Black Lagoon co., giving rise to the possibility of a 'dispatch officer'. A small fleet of 3-5 other ships and a few NPCs back at 'home base'. [16:20] <~sofacoin> Each individual boat would be freelance and able to do as they wished, and mostly subcontracted by the KK- think more 'law office' than 'bus service' [16:30] <~sofacoin> Granny can always be the head of this boat, buuut I'd like dominion over the higher-up NPCs :3 [16:34] <~sofacoin> Lusipur is an unaggregated city-state; it's spread over numerous towns on seperate routes, but is all one city, even if going from some 'linked' parts requires a car/bicycle/free afternoon. Each has its own name, many related to an elemental type. [16:36] <~sofacoin> There is, coincidentally, 17 gyms in the region. But that's not important to you guys, because you're couriers. Right. Right? [16:38] <~sofacoin> You're all genned up, you have a boat- theoretically- and you start in the largest town, White Island (it's not an island, go figure). [16:39] <~sofacoin> Guns are as in Pokemon: Wild West, with three categories: Small arms, long arms, and heavy weapons. http://paradoxhaze.wikidot.com/pokemon-wild-west [16:57] <~sofacoin> Well, okay, you can each have those and infinite ammunition.
