Chapter 9
>NR: “Good morning Anonymous.”
“Good morning Redheart.”
>You swing your legs out and stand up.
>No pain.
>Fuck yeah.
>NR: “The doctor said you are free to leave whenever you like. Is there anything else?”
>You have the few belongings you had with you in the hospital packed.
>Only one thing to do before you leave.
“What room is Rainbow Dash in?”
 
>You knock on the door to Rainbow’s room.
>RD: “Come in.”
>You open the door and step in.
>RD: “Anon!”
>She quickly hides something under her bed sheets.
“Hello Rainbow.”
>You walk over and hug her.
>After a while you reluctantly let go of her.
“How are…”
>RD: “How are…”
>You both laugh a little. “You first.”
“How are you feeling Dash? Are your wings healing alright?”
>Rainbow Dash looks down and mumbles “No.”
>You sit down on her bed.
>You give her a reassuring look and motions for her to continue.
>RD: “Hollow bones are very hard to heal. The doctors did a great job but it will be long before I can fly again.”
>Damn.
>You wish you could spend some more time with your bro again.
>Outside of the hospital that is.
>RD: “The doctor said I can leave soon, but I can’t fly anywhere…”
>You cut her off.
“So you can’t reach your house.”
>Wow of all the things that could happen to Rainbow, losing her flight is the worst possible thing.
>RD: “Please leave. I… I…”
>Tears are forming in her eyes.
>Shit.
“Listen Dash, if you want to you may stay at my new house.”
>What did you just do?
>RD: “R-really?” She dries the tears away from her eyes and cheeks. “Thank you Anon.”
>You turn the key and open your new house.
>Oh Celestia!
>The ponies know their handiwork. This place is awesome.
>Everything is just the right size for you.
>Proper paint job.
>And the fireplace!
>Damn that’s a fine fireplace.
>Wooden planks cover the walls in most of the rooms in your house.
>The kitchen is nice and big.
>You can actually stand in the shower.
>They had a bed your size moved into the bedroom.
>You drop your stuff and throw yourself on the bed.
“Aaahhhh.”
>This is going to be awesome.
>Your bro will come over in a couple of days and it will be the best time of your live so far.
>You just know it.
>You go outside and check out your garden.
>There is a clearing in the middle, as well as a few flower bushes.
>Roses and lilies.
>A small stream runs through the garden carrying fallen leaves with it.
>The trees at the back of the garden are turning red as autumn falls upon Equestria.
>This will be perfect for training sessions.
>Time to get your stuff.
 
>Twilight doesn’t know you’re out of the hospital yet.
>This will be quite the surprise.
>You knock on the door.
>Twi: “Spike, get the door.”
>You hear Spike’s mumbling curses as he approaches the door.
>As the door swings open you put a finger over your lips and make the characteristic ´shh` sound.
>Spike: “An…” He smiles when he figures out what your plan is.
“Where is Twilight?” you whisper.
>Spike: “She’s in her room, reading.
>Perfect.
>Spike follows you up the stairs.
>Twi: “Who was it?”
>Spike: “Just the mail mare.”
>This is going to be so great.
 
“HI TWILIGHT!”
>You bust into her room.
>She jumps up from her bed in surprise and lands on the floor.
>Spike is laughing like crazy.
>You let out a small chuckle too.
>Twi: “Anon you’re out!”
“Yes I am.”
>You walk over to her and give her a hug.
>You stay like that for a minute or two.
>Twi: “Have you seen your house yet?” Twilight finally breaks the silence.
“Yes I have. It’s a very nice house the p0nies really did a good job.”
>Twilights mouth just got turned upside down. “So you are not staying?”
>Well you were just here to pick up your stuff.
“I guess I’ll move in tomorrow, may I use your guest bed again?”
>There is that smile she’s always wearing when around you.
>Twi: “Of course you may. Have you eaten yet?”
>Your stomach growls before you can answer that.
>Twi: “Haha I’ll take that as a no. Spike will you make dinner for three tonight?”
>Spike: “Right away Twi.”
>Spike runs downstairs to cook leaving the two of you alone.
>Twi: “Celestia came over when you were out, she didn’t know you were in a coma so I had to explain everything to her. I told her how you saved P0nyville. She is going to visit once you move in to your new house.”
>The princess is coming.
>As she said she would.
“I look forward to it.”
>You haven’t really been too concerned with Twilight’s wellbeing lately.
>Seems a bit self-centred when you think about it.
“What did you do while I was in the hospital?”
>She hesitates for a moment before answering.
>Twi: “I spent most of the time in the hospital.”
“What!”
>Did that demon really hurt her that much?
>Twi: “Oh no not like that.”
>A faint blush appears on her cheeks. “I was at your side most of the time waiting for you to wake up.”
>How sweet of her.
“You just sat by my side for a month?”
>Twi: “Well I went home when the visiting hours ended.”
>This mare…
>You couldn’t ask for a better friend.
 
>Spike has made a kickass dinner.
>You have no idea what type of soup this is but you love it.
>You eat in silence but it looks like Twilight wants to say something.
>You’re fine with dining in peace.
>Spike: “Aren’t you going to be lonely all alone in that big house, Anon?”
>Of course the silence is broken by the purple lizard.
“Nah… Rainbow is moving in with me until her wings are healed. I’m not going to be lonely at all.”
>You don’t notice but Twilight cringes at this.
>Spike: “Does that mean that you and Rainbow Dash have something going?”
>Wat.
>Why would he even think that? The two of you are bros.
>Twilight Drops her spoon and get up.
>Twi: “I think it’s time I went to bed. I’ll see you tomorrow… Goodnight.” Twilight sounds like she is about to cry. She does once she reaches her room.
>What was that all about?
>Spike: “Woah, I didn’t think she would take it that hard.”
“Spike we are not special somep0nies, just bros. And why would Twilight just leave like that?”
>Spike: “I can’t tell you.” He gets up from his chair and picks up the dishes.
“And why is that?”
>Spike: “Pinkie promise.”
>Fucking Spike.
>You go to bed not long after.
>You wish you could stay up longer and talk with Twilight but she went to bed.
>You read for about an hour or two before turning off the light.
>You twist and turn constantly but you can’t comfortable. You keep thinking about what you might have done wrong.
>Better not think about it.
>…
>You can’t stop thinking about it.
>Was it something Spike said?
>Was it something you said?
>You can’t take this anymore.
 
“Twilight, are you awake?”
>You say through the door to her room.
>Twi: “No.”
>You sigh.
“May I come in?”
>There’s a long pause.
>This better work.
>Twi: “No.”
>Aww come on!
>You sit down with your back against the wall.
“Twilight, what is going on? I don’t know why you are upset but if anything is wrong I want to help.”
>You can hear her walk around in her room.
>Twi: “I didn’t know Rainbow is going to live with you. I didn’t even know you were dating.”
>Oh she thinks you are a pair.
>Fucking great.
“We are not together, we are just friends. Besides Dash would hate staying in the hospital until her wings are fully healed.”
>Twilight opens the door and you fall back and hit your head on the floor.
>Shit.
>Twi: “Are you alright?”
“Auw.”
>That really hurt.
>You feel a magic aura around you.
>You slowly soar across the room and land in Twilights bed.
>Twi: “You should lie down for a bit.”
>Damn this bed is comfy.
“It’s fine Twilight, I can stand.”
>You try to stand up but it feels like everything it’s moving.
>You sit back down on the bed.
>Twi: “Relax, I’ll take care of it.”
>Twilight’s horn starts to glow.
>Your vision gets all blurry and everything gets a purple shade to it.
>The pain recedes slowly and soon it is completely gone.
>The hell?
“Thanks Twili…”
>Twilight cuts you off. “It was nothing. I just used a simple healing spell.”
>This mare.
“Why were you acting like that at the dinner table?”
>Twilight gives you a deadpan stare.
>What?
>Twi: “I was just… I just thought that if you got a special somep0ny you would tell me.”
“But I don’t have a special somep0ny. If I ever get one you will be the first to know.”
>Twilight sits on her bed.
>She takes a deep breath.
>Twi: “Anon,willyougotothegrandgallopinggallawithme?”
>What did she say?
>Galla?
>Why not.
“Sure, I’d like that.”
>Twilight’s face lightens up a lot and she gives a sigh of relief.
>You should probably go back downstairs but this bed is so fucking soft.
>You put your head on a pillow.
>Twi: “Thank you so much Anon.” She lies down and snuggles up against you.
>You lie there for a long time, just thinking, before you doze off.
>Today was a pretty good day.
