  9. >Day 'Another Job' in Equestria.
  10. >You are Anon; Professional hit man.
  11. >These ponies don't understand your skills.
  12. >You are a hit man, yet these ponies give you menial tasks like apple bucking.
  13.
  14. >It's been a week since you arrive in Equestria.
  15. >Imagine your surprise, when you almost fell off a castle spire.
  16. >You had just taken down your first target and packed up.
  17. >How you got here was anyone's guess.
  18. >The guards found you. Apparently you were on the princesses chambers.
  19. >Your suit made the guards think you were an ambassador, and after some convincing, you were brought to the princess.
  20. >She deemed fit, that you would live in "Ponyville" with her student and friends: Twilight sparkle.
  21. >That was one week ago.
  22. >Today, you meet with Celestia for a "Check-up"
  23. >"Anonymous! We must get ready for the princess's arrival! Here, put this on. That suit went out of fashion a week ago."
  24. "Rarity, you gave this suit a week ago."
  25. >"Precisely!"
  26. >Well, better not argue with Rarity. You don the new suit, even though it looks exactly like your old one.
  27. >"Lets go, Anonymous!"
  28. "Why? It's not like she's here already."
  29. >"The princess will be here in five minutes." she replies.
  30. >You sigh.
  31. "We'll be there, when she's there."
  32. >"Nonsense Anonymous! You mustn't keep royalty waiting."
  33. "Alright, alright. I'm going. Calm down."
  34. >"I suppose a lady must keep calm."
  35. >With that, you walk out the door.
  36. >Five minutes later, Sugercube corner.
  37.
  38. >You and the mane 6 sit down, waiting the princess's arrival.
  39. "Well, its a shame she's not here, so I'll be going now."
  40. >"A shame who's not here?" a voice from behind asks.
  41. "Nothing."
  42. >"Princess!" the rest say, bowing.
  43. >You turn around and look Celestia in the eye.
  44. "Celestia."
  45. >Gasps are heard all around.
  46. >"You can't call her that! She's the princess!" Twilight exclaims.
  47. >"It's quite alright, Twilight" Celestia replies.
  48. >"No, it's not! Anonymo—"
  49. "If Celestia says it's fine, it's fine." you say cutting her off.
  50. "Shall we begin?"
  51. >"Certainly."
  52. >Celestia moves to a giant pillow and plops down on it.
  53. >The mane 6 sit while you stand.
  54. >"Anonymous, sit. Please."
  55. "No thanks. I prefer standing."
  56. >"Very well then. Now, how do you feel about Equestria?"
  57. "It's a peaceful nation. No one here understands what my true talents are."
  58. >"And what are your talents?"
  59. "Getting the job done" you reply.
  60.
  61. >You are Celestia.
  62.
  63. >Anonymous just told you that getting jobs done is his profession.
  64. >You hardly see how he could be a manager, but you decide to let him do his job.
  65. "If that's truly your talent, perhaps you could take care of my nephew Blueblood."
  66. >"Of course. I charge half at front, and half when the contract is complete."
  67. "Very well."
  68. >You magic him a bag of bits.
  69. >"What's the deadline?"
  70. "I'll be leaving for a diplomatic meeting tomorrow. I would like it done, by the time I return."
  71. >"...Very well. I will begin preparations now."
  72. >You are Anon.
  73. >You can't believe she would hire you.
  74. >You had no idea she was one of those monarchs that didn't want their children to take power.
  75. >Well, it seems that every world has it's own Constantine the Great.
  76. >You nod at Celestia and take your leave.
  77. >Arriving at Rarity's boutique, you hear hoof steps behind you.
  78. >You turn around to catch Rarity, pouncing at you.
  79. >Catching her, you almost crash through the door.
  80. "Yes, Rarity?"
  81. >"You simply cannot walk out on the princess."
  82. "She wanted me to do a job; I told her I would get ready" you reply.
  83. >"Yes but... Ugh! You are impossible somethings Anonymous... Could you let go of me?"
  84. >You let go of her and open the door.
  85. >Reaching around a counter, you grab your briefcase and take a peek inside.
  86. >Your Barrett M98B .338 rifle was still inside with a case of ammunition.
  87. >A 5 round mag, binoculars, and a box of 20 rounds sit inside.
  88. >You close the briefcase and walk out the door, Rarity in tow.
  89. >"Darling, what do you need that briefcase for?"
  90. "The job I was paid to do" you respond.
  91. >When you arrive at the train station, Rarity decides to say a few parting words.
  92. >"Could you give Blueblood my regards?"
  93. >You smile. "I don't think I can do that."
  94. >"Why is that?"
  95. "I'll be watching him a mile away."
  96. >"Aren't you supposed to take care of Blueblood?"
  97. "I'm supposed to do my job."
  98. >You step onto the train and go over your plans.
  99. >Today you would observe him. Tomorrow you would make the kill.
  100. >When the train approaches a large underpass carved in the mountain, you get up and walk to the back of the train.
  101. >This train is moving fairly slow, but jumping probably won't hurt to much.
  102. >You get on the ladder on the back and jump off.
  103. >You stumble slightly but regain your footing quick enough.
  104. >Looking around, you see a easy spot to start climbing.
  105. >You climb the mountainside, and get on top of the overpass.
  106. >Opening your briefcase, you take out your binoculars.
  107. >You look around for Blueblood. You remember him from your time in the castle, before you were departed to Ponyville.
  108. >Blonde hair, fancy suit, unicorn. That was all you needed to remember.
  109. >He should be easy to spot because Royalty always has guards following them.
  110. >About 10 minutes later, you find him exiting the castle.
  111. >You watch him for the next few hour, taking short breaks from the binoculars.
  112. >Eventually, the sun sets, and the moon rises.
  113. >You put the binoculars away in the briefcase and carry it to a gap in the wall.
  114. >You crawl into the small gap in the mountainside to shelter you from the elements, before drifting to sleep.
  115. >When you awake, the sun is just above the horizon.
  116. >You crawl out of the gap and stretch.
  117. >It wasn't the first time you slept on rock, but it still felt terrible the next morning.
  118. >You take your rifle out and set it up. After loading the magazine, you insert it into the rifle.
  119. >You look down the sights and see Celestia taking off in a chariot.
  120. >You adjust your scope to the distance taking notes.
  121. >A doughnut shop was at 650 meters.
  122. >The castle spires stand between 750 to 1200 meters.
  123. >The city gates were 500 meters away.
  124. >You adjusted your sights at 700m, leaving the wind-age alone.
  125. >You would adjust that, after Blueblood was in your sights.
  126. >Taking out a pen and paper, you note all important distances, along with the current setting of your scope.
  127. >The closest spire would approximately take 0.8 seconds for the bullet to impact.
  128. >The city gates would be about half a second.
  129. >Hopefully he wouldn't stay at the furthest spire all day.
  130. >A 1.2 second bullet time could be offset easily at this altitude.
  131. >The open air and temperature would affect the round.
  132. >Using an old trick you remember, you take off your suit and put the ammunition underneath it.
  133. >It was about 10am. The sun would heat your bullets at around 1pm.
  134. >At 2pm they would be hotter and burn faster, delivering a faster, and more stable round.
  135. >You wait another hour before your stomach growls.
  136. >Looking inside your briefcase, you find a power bar. You always carried one whenever you did a mission.
  137. >You eat it and check the clock; almost noon.
  138. >You begin scouting for Blueblood. The next hour and a half were spent watching him.
  139. >At 1:45pm, he leaves the doughnut shop.
  140. >This opportunity is perfect. The crowds will cover your trace.
  141. >You reload your magazine and chamber a round.
  142. >Aiming down the sights, you see a flag. It hangs limp without a breeze to move it.
  143. >There was no need for changing wind-age, or distance.
  144. >You line up the shot, taking a deep breath before exhaling.
  145. >BANG.
  146. >The round flies out of the barrel, shredding through the air. A circular cone follows quickly behind.
  147. >Within the second, Blueblood's head explodes all over the streets, body falling limp.
  148. >You take down your rifle, storing it back inside the briefcase.
  149.
  150. >You are Anonymous.
  151. >Today was another day in the life of an assassin.
