  1. >>Cold steel ran across your inner arm
  2. >>You hissed as the blood slowly trickled out and stained the knife
  3. >>There were two other shallow cuts on your arm
  4. >>You were reveling in the pain
  5. >>Another day had passed
  6. >>You're thinking this out
  7. >>How to do it? Who's first?
  8. >>...Who deserves to be first?
  9. >>The light of Luna bears witness to your madness
  10.
  11. >>There was a knock on your door
  12. >>At first you ignored it, but you could ignore it no longer after the fourth round of knocks
  13. >>You pass the knife into the hand of the wounded arm, your left
  14. >>You put in the combination to your lock
  15. >>Unlock the padlock
  16. >>Unsecure the two bar locks
  17. >>Undo the deadbolt
  18. >>Disengage the normal lock
  19. >>You open the door and look down to find three small ponies looking yo at you
  20. >>Fillies
  21. >>If you are a giant to normal ponies, you are a colossus to these
  22. >>They seem happy to see you
  23. >>“Hi!”
  24. >>The lead one greets
  25. >>She was brown. A Pegasus.
  26. >>“We're the cutie mark crusaders!”
  27. >>The next one spoke up.
  28. >>Earth filly. You've seen her around when you worked at the orchards.
  29. >>Apple Bloom. Yeah, that was it.
  30. >>The third one spoke up, and your eyes shifted to her
  31. >>“Our mission is to work together to find out who we are, and what we're supposed to be!”
  32. >>This one was white. She possessed the swirling horn of a unicorn
  33. >>You are silent for a moment, examining all three of them
  34. >>No trace of a mark on them, but it was possible that you just couldn't get it at this angle
  35. What do you want
  36. >>You have no patience with them
  37. >>Kids or not, you were busy
  38.
  39. >>“We noticed that you didn't have a cutie mark!”
  40. >>Said the brown Pegasus.
  41. >>“So we wanted to extend a special invitation to you!”
  42. >>Said Apple Bloom
  43. >>“This is Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and I'm Sweetie Belle!”
  44. >>The white one made the introductions
  45. >>But you just glared down at them
  46. >>They smiled, but they eventually became awkward and forced
  47. >>They were stumped by your silence
  48. >>You shouldn't talk to strangers.
  49. >>You close the door on them
  50. >>Turn the lock
  51. >>Secure the deadbolt
  52. >>Slide the two bar locks shut
  53. >>Secure padlock
  54. >>Snap combination lock closed
  55. >>Turn away from the door when, immediately, there's another knock
  56. >>You halt, look back at the door for a moment, and decide to ignore it
  57. >>You move back towards the kitchen
  58. >>Knock knock knock
  59. >>You halt once more and bite your lower lip
  60. >>Face goes red
  61. >>Tea kettle whistling sound effect
  62. >>What happens next tips you over the edge of your patience
  63. >>Repeated knocks, sounding like an entire class room of kids were throwing baseballs at your front door
  64. >>You put in the combination to your lock
  65. >>Unlock the padlock
  66. >>Unsecure the two bar locks
  67. >>Undo the deadbolt
  68. >>Disengage the normal lock
  69. >>You open the door
  70. WHA-
  71. >>You are cut off when you recoil. The crusaders have taken a formation where they stand on one another's shoulders
  72. >>They don't, at all, match your height
  73. >>But they're trying
  74. >>Sweetie Belle, at the bottom, wobbles back and forth
  75. >>Scootaloo is at the top, eying you
  76. >>How cute, they're trying to intimidate you
  77.
  78. >>“Hey! That wasn't very nice! You didn't even tell us your name!”
  79. >>You resist the urge to kick Sweetie Belle out from under them
  80. Anon. Now beat it.
  81. >>You start to close the door again, but Sweetie Belle gives out
  82. >>All three of them yell as they fall in to your door
  83. >>The door slams shut behind them
  84. >>You give them the moment they need to re-situate themselves, and they are immediately fascinated by your home
  85. >>“Wow! Everything is so big!” says Apple Bloom, and she walks off towards the kitchen
  86. Don't...
  87. >>Scootaloo starts jumping up and down on your living room couch, using her wings to achieve some air time
  88. >>“Hey! This is awesome!”
  89. GET OFF OF THA-
  90. >>Sweetie Belle trots up your stairs
  91. >>“I bet he has an awesome closet!”
  92. Don't you dare go in my room!
  93. >>Your eye twitches
  94. >>Your shoulders hoist up around your head, very aggressively
  95. >>“Hey! What the heck? There's no food in here!”
  96. >>You hear Apple Bloom cry out
  97. >>“Were these made by my sister?”
  98. >>Sweetie Belle yells down the stairs
  99. >>“Do you live by yourself, Mister Anon?”
  100. >>Scootaloo asks
  101. >>With your free hand, you snatch her out of the air by her tail and set her down on the floor
  102. I do. Now get o-
  103. >>“Hey! Hey girls!”
  104. >>Scootaloo calls, and the others come running in a flash, taking up formation right next to her
  105. >>“Anon lives alone!”
  106. >>Scootaloo reports
  107. >>“His house is a mess!”
  108. >>Sweetie Belle reports
  109. >>“He has no food!”
  110. >>Apple Bloom reports
  111. >>“I know!”
  112. >>Scootaloo has an epiphany, and all three join in a group hug before you
  113.
  114. >>They all shout in unison
  115. >>“WE'LL BE HUMAN TAKER-CARER-ERS!”
  116. Nope
  117. >>.avi
  118. >>You swipe them all in your grip in one fell swoop, clenching each of their tails in your hand before you start carrying them to the door
  119. >>They all object
  120. >>Verbally
  121. >>Loudly
  122. >>You ponder making them your first victims at this rate
  123. >>But Apple Bloom gasps, which silences the rest of them
  124. >>“Your arm!”
  125. >>She points a hoof
  126. >>A gentle stream of beautiful crimson pours from the three shallow cuts in your left arm
  127. >>They also notice the knife that drips with your blood, the handle of which is now slick with it
  128. >>Your parents would be very upset with you if they knew where you were
  129. >>You put emphasis on the word 'very.'
  130. >>You discard your knife, which hits the floor with a splash of blood
  131. >>You open the door
  132. >>Prepare to toss these kids out
  133. >>You are blocked, however
  134. >>You look up
  135. >>And up
  136. >>A massive, brick-like bipedal canine fills your door way
  137. >>In a deep voice, he rasps
  138. >>“...You the one who took down William?”
  139. >>You look him down and then back up to his eyes
  140. >>The crusaders also look at the figure
  141. Yeah, what's it to you?
  142. >>A massive, boulder-like fist rams into your face
  143. >>You don't even know what happened
  144. >>Dreamless sleep keeps you in its warm embrace
  145. >>The Crusaders all fall in a heap on the floor, only to be scooped up by a gang of Diamond Dogs, >>their mouths stuffed with handkerchiefs to keep them quiet
  146. >>“He was my brother.”
  147. >>You just can't catch a break
