  1.         The slightly worn hinges of the door announced the man’s arrival, not that the erstwhile princess needed to hear them, she’d seen his lantern shining through the night ever since he’d cleared the tree line. She’d been waiting for him to open the door.
  2.         “I’m Ho-Omf!” Kristoff stumbled back as Anna embraced and kissed him, knocking the door closed and ending the small drift of snow tumbling through onto the floor.
  3.         “Hello,” the princess said, wearing the biggest smile he’d ever seen, he returned it.
  4.         “Hello”
  5. The girl rubbed her hands over the young man’s cheeks, almost four weeks he’d been away and it showed. Coarse gold and brown hairs rose from his cheeks and chin. Normally he’d be without even the slightest stubble.
  6.         But a change could be a good thing.
  7.         “So, lots of snow out the- mmm” She’d silenced him again, running her arms around his neck and pulling him into another kiss. This time when she pulled away, she wore her best sultry smile
  8.         “You’ve been gone for a month, Kris,” She said, her voice dropping to a whisper, “I don’t want to talk about the snow.”
  9.         “Well what do you want to talk about?”
  10.         She sighed, and pulled him along, to the bedroom, snow cascading down from his coat.
  11. He wasn’t wearing the garments for long inside.
  12.         Anna pulled off the man’s coat, tossing it against the wall. She kissed him enjoying the feeling of the whiskers against her face as she pulled at the dark green tunic he wore.
  13.         “Anna,” he said as she kissed down his neck, pulling the cloth to get at his clavicle.
  14.         “Mmm,” was her only response. She bit her lip as she finally peeled off the shirt, tossing it aside with the coat. Letting out a quivering sigh, she ran her hands over the man’s large shoulders and down his chest. His torso sported its own forest of hair, and the girls hands ran through the tall golden brown trees.
  15.         “Anna,” she’d heard him sigh again as her lips ran over the geography of his body, climbing up hills, running through shallow valleys. Following little hidden trails down his chest. She could hear and feel his breathing and heartbeat, his stomach quivering with both. As she fussed with the man’s pants she felt her own heartbeat quickening to a frantic pace. It’d been a month, she wanted him, she needed him.
  16.         “Anna,” he said again.
  17.         “Shh shh” she breathed back, finally undoing the belt.
  18.         “Anna?”
  19.         “What?!” the princess looked around the audience room, petitioners, lesser nobles, and their courtiers all looked at her, “I uhh, I-I wasn’t daydreaming, or anything. What?”
  20.         Her sister leaned over from the throne, “The Chancellor of the Southern Isles has just presented you with an official apology.”
  21.         “What?” In the center of the room, parting the group of people was an older man with a large nose, wearing a white overcoat with long tails, he was bowed before them, “Oh... uhmm…” she looked back at the queen pleadingly. Elsa leaned over again, pushing her braid back over her shoulder.
  22.         “The Chancellor offers the Southern Isles ‘deepest apologies for their youngest heir’s actions’ and begs for the princesses' forgiveness. They’ve also offered you a number trade goods to you personally, as a sort of dower,” the queen whispered.
  23.         “Is that a good thing?”
  24.         “Amongst the goods he said were five bushels of cocoa beans.” That brightened her up. Before the girl could say anything Elsa’s hand found hers, “Remember, we’re at court.”
  25.         “Right,” she nodded and cleared her throat, addressing the court, “I acc- er that is, We humbly accept the Southern Isles apology, and uhm…” she looked to her sister, “Uh, look forward to continued relations with the more honorable heirs to the throne.”
  26.         The Chancellor bowed again, and retreated. Elsa patted her sister’s hand, “Very good”
  27.         The rest of the day passed without Anna needing to give any injection to the proceedings and she let her eyes wander over the peoples gathered. Most of the crowd was petitioners, though here and there she spotted some of the wealthier families. She spotted the Doorward in the back, and along the sides were the various stewards, Masters of the horse and falcon, and all many of people that she could only vaguely remember seeing when she was younger. The new Royal Ice Deliverer was absent. Of course, it was summer; he was off doing what it was he was appointed to do.
  28.         Anna sighed.
  29.         Petitioners and Courtiers bowed as they left. Elsa had called an end to the day’s audience and soon the royal sisters were alone in the chamber. Elsa smiled at her sister.
  30.         Anna knew that smile. It was a knowing smile. It said she knew exactly what you were thinking, so fess up.
  31.         “Anna-“
  32.         “I just miss him alright!”
  33.         Elsa let out a giggle as she covered her mouth, letting out a toothy smile, a smile only for her sister, “Daydreaming again?”
  34.         Anna nodded, deflated.
  35.         She turned in the throne, putting her chin in her hands, smirking, “So what was this one about?”
  36.         Anna wiggled herself in her own chair, and looked around the room, “ weee-ll he was uhm.. shirtless and-“
  37.         “Ohh!”
  38. The two girls giggled to themselves as Anna told the story.
