  1. >The sun sets in this serene world.
  2. >The forest becomes dusk as Celestia retires for the evening.
  3. >Dusk isn't so bad.
  4. >This world is still beautiful.
  5. >Nothing has been said since that talk of the war.
  6. >You don't blame Crius for getting upset.
  7. >But you needed to know what happened.
  8. >You needed to know how to confront it.
  9. >Your mind continues to wander through everything you've witnessed.
  10. >The more you hear of Celestia, the more you begin to hate her.
  11. >Maybe not hate her.
  12. >Maybe just really, really, really, really dislike her.
  13. >Yet you still pray for her salvation, every night you do.
  14. >But even a man of faith has his doubts.
  15. >You snap your head back up towards the treescape.
  16. >Things are becoming increasingly dark.
  17. >You turn to Crius.
  18. "It's getting dark, we should make camp."
  19. >"If we made it through Tartarus we can make it through Equestria" he grunts.
  20. >Nothing in this forest has concerned you so far.
  21. >But you can feel a slight tugging at your soul.
  22. >Almost like a sense that something isn't right.
  23. >The sense that you should make camp.
  24. >You brush the sense off and continue.
  25.
  26. >The sun is gone.
  27. >You are guided by Luna's faint moonlight.
  28. >The forest grows darker.
  29. >Your visibility is reduced.
  30. >Dialog is almost at nil.
  31. >He's probably not a talker.
  32. >Spending a few thousand years in Hell could do that to someone.
  33. >But you break the conversation.
  34. "What will you do now?"
  35. >"Hmph?"
  36. "You're free from Tartarus, are you going to find your other minotaurs?"
  37. >He's silent for some time, then he lets out a whisper.
  38. >"I'm going to kill Celestia, then I'm going to kill Luna"
  39. >It's too dark to see the expression on his face, but you can sense the anger in his tone.
  40. >"Then, the Elements of Harmony. They will be thrown into the fire."
  41. >The two of you stagger for a moment as you are interrupted by a strange whine in the distance.
  42. >That howl, it sounded almost like a wolf.
  43. >Were there wolves in this world?
  44. >"Timberwolves, how could I have forgotten about them?"
  45. "Wolves made.. of wood?"
  46. >"No matter, it sounded distant."
  47. >The two of you continue once more, both silent with weapons in-hand.
  48. >If only you could see...
  49.
  50. >You continue down this dark path of trees.
  51. >The moon still centers in the sky.
  52. >Every so often you are visited by that familliar sound of the timberwolf.
  53. >Each time you hear it, it grows near.
  54. >Then you see it.
  55. >Three sets of glowing eyes.
  56. >Almost as a minuture Cerberbus was creeping in the shadows.
  57. >The three split into 30, as the two of you are surrounded by glowing eyes.
  58. >And groals
  59. >And barks.
  60. >The Titan makes the first move.
  61. >He charges full-speed into the front wolves.
  62. >Growls and yelps are heard.
  63. >Seddenly, a sharp pain in your back.
  64. >The teeth sink into your shoulder.
  65. >There are two of them on you now.
  66. >You instintcively weild your blade behind you.
  67. >A cry is heard from one of them.
  68. >You smash the other in the snount with your pommel.
  69. >The Titan is covered in wolves, he's falling to the ground.
  70. >You try to rush over to him.
  71. >You feel the rough splinter of these teeth in your right arm.
  72. "GHA!"
  73. >You yell in pain as you desperately punch the beast's shell with your off-hand.
  74. >It's not letting up.
  75. >You almost miss your armor.
  76.
  77. >Crius roars in pain as he stands among the group of timberwolves.
  78. >His battleaxe is down, but he doesn't need it.
  79. >He's still a warrior.
  80. >He grasps one of the beasts by the throat.
  81. >It's too dark to see the shards of wood crumbling from the wolf's mouth.
  82. >It seems these trees can bleed.
  83. >The beast is brutally thrown into some others with a "THUD".
  84. >Your friend raises his hoof and smashes it down into the head of another wolf.
  85. >His fist crushes the chest of a third.
  86. >You desperately grab a rock from under you and smash it into the glowing eye of your aggressor.
  87. >It cracks like a lightbulb and the wolf falls silent.
  88. >You take that free moment to run to the minotaur.
  89. "GO FOR THE EYES!"
  90. >In a battle of two beasts, the Titan picks the closest wolf and smashes his horn into the glowing eye.
  91. >The wolf falls silent.
  92. >Another wolf charges you, but you're ready. You stab the beast through its shining globe.
  93. >The remaining wolves run away, but Crius charges after them into the forest.
  94. >You're too weak to continue with him.
  95. >You rest down by a rock and gather some leaves together.
  96. >You spark some rocks and create a small fire.
  97. >Timberwolf makes for decent firewood.
  98. >The warmth of the fire would be comforting if it wasn't for the beasts crying in the forest.
