- >The sun sets in this serene world.
- >The forest becomes dusk as Celestia retires for the evening.
- >Dusk isn't so bad.
- >This world is still beautiful.
- >Nothing has been said since that talk of the war.
- >You don't blame Crius for getting upset.
- >But you needed to know what happened.
- >You needed to know how to confront it.
- >Your mind continues to wander through everything you've witnessed.
- >The more you hear of Celestia, the more you begin to hate her.
- >Maybe not hate her.
- >Maybe just really, really, really, really dislike her.
- >Yet you still pray for her salvation, every night you do.
- >But even a man of faith has his doubts.
- >You snap your head back up towards the treescape.
- >Things are becoming increasingly dark.
- >You turn to Crius.
- "It's getting dark, we should make camp."
- >"If we made it through Tartarus we can make it through Equestria" he grunts.
- >Nothing in this forest has concerned you so far.
- >But you can feel a slight tugging at your soul.
- >Almost like a sense that something isn't right.
- >The sense that you should make camp.
- >You brush the sense off and continue.
- >The sun is gone.
- >You are guided by Luna's faint moonlight.
- >The forest grows darker.
- >Your visibility is reduced.
- >Dialog is almost at nil.
- >He's probably not a talker.
- >Spending a few thousand years in Hell could do that to someone.
- >But you break the conversation.
- "What will you do now?"
- >"Hmph?"
- "You're free from Tartarus, are you going to find your other minotaurs?"
- >He's silent for some time, then he lets out a whisper.
- >"I'm going to kill Celestia, then I'm going to kill Luna"
- >It's too dark to see the expression on his face, but you can sense the anger in his tone.
- >"Then, the Elements of Harmony. They will be thrown into the fire."
- >The two of you stagger for a moment as you are interrupted by a strange whine in the distance.
- >That howl, it sounded almost like a wolf.
- >Were there wolves in this world?
- >"Timberwolves, how could I have forgotten about them?"
- "Wolves made.. of wood?"
- >"No matter, it sounded distant."
- >The two of you continue once more, both silent with weapons in-hand.
- >If only you could see...
- >You continue down this dark path of trees.
- >The moon still centers in the sky.
- >Every so often you are visited by that familliar sound of the timberwolf.
- >Each time you hear it, it grows near.
- >Then you see it.
- >Three sets of glowing eyes.
- >Almost as a minuture Cerberbus was creeping in the shadows.
- >The three split into 30, as the two of you are surrounded by glowing eyes.
- >And groals
- >And barks.
- >The Titan makes the first move.
- >He charges full-speed into the front wolves.
- >Growls and yelps are heard.
- >Seddenly, a sharp pain in your back.
- >The teeth sink into your shoulder.
- >There are two of them on you now.
- >You instintcively weild your blade behind you.
- >A cry is heard from one of them.
- >You smash the other in the snount with your pommel.
- >The Titan is covered in wolves, he's falling to the ground.
- >You try to rush over to him.
- >You feel the rough splinter of these teeth in your right arm.
- "GHA!"
- >You yell in pain as you desperately punch the beast's shell with your off-hand.
- >It's not letting up.
- >You almost miss your armor.
- >Crius roars in pain as he stands among the group of timberwolves.
- >His battleaxe is down, but he doesn't need it.
- >He's still a warrior.
- >He grasps one of the beasts by the throat.
- >It's too dark to see the shards of wood crumbling from the wolf's mouth.
- >It seems these trees can bleed.
- >The beast is brutally thrown into some others with a "THUD".
- >Your friend raises his hoof and smashes it down into the head of another wolf.
- >His fist crushes the chest of a third.
- >You desperately grab a rock from under you and smash it into the glowing eye of your aggressor.
- >It cracks like a lightbulb and the wolf falls silent.
- >You take that free moment to run to the minotaur.
- "GO FOR THE EYES!"
- >In a battle of two beasts, the Titan picks the closest wolf and smashes his horn into the glowing eye.
- >The wolf falls silent.
- >Another wolf charges you, but you're ready. You stab the beast through its shining globe.
- >The remaining wolves run away, but Crius charges after them into the forest.
- >You're too weak to continue with him.
- >You rest down by a rock and gather some leaves together.
- >You spark some rocks and create a small fire.
- >Timberwolf makes for decent firewood.
- >The warmth of the fire would be comforting if it wasn't for the beasts crying in the forest.
